BigIyanga:In developed climes, BMW is cool. Especially for younger people. It's got swag and there are competent mechanics. Benz looks rather less 'swaggerlicious'. But talking of 9ja, Benz is better. It takes Kazeem's abuse better than BMW and Audi. Though parts are not necessarily cheaper. Even comparing X5 with say ML350, in 9ja ML350 is more reliable. Just look around you and see how ubiquitous it is. It has cheaper base price too, though if options requested, the price could be similar to X5. Better off road quality on our roads full of gullies. More spacious too. But if in a country like Germany or UK, BMW is better. Better torgue/power, in fact better performance (on the excellent roads) & sexiness & extras as standard. This is assuming you bought them brand new. In 9ja ML second hand value & marketability are better. |
Benz. At least the older models. That Mercedes-Benz diesel engine is still mostly used by Germans as taxi cab says it all. |
Eu24:Thanks. But Alimosho is a large LGA. From Egbeda to Abaranje, Ikotun to Ayobo. Where in Alimosho? |
Benita27:My dear maybe only 0.00001% of girls claiming use and dump belong to this group. It is just emotional blackmail. The "use" means sex. Simple. That our girls see opening their legs as a favour also underpins the presumption that a guy has to foot the bill. Even girls that do not ask for money directly still believe a guy should know the usual. While you celebrate that you have met a girl who's not demanding money, she's quietly seething with rage over your "neglect" of her. Sex is consensual. If not something is wrong: maybe violation. Funny enough that the girl claiming "use and dump" may have been dating several other guys concurrently. If only one could access her social accounts. ![]() Women like to cite rare "outlier" examples of men using & dumping women. Men get used & ruined so often by women that everyone knows many examples. Women even have already made excuses to justify women dealing with men anyhow: he was abuse, a monster, not meeting his responsibilities, his dick is too big/too small, his family (siblings/mother) control him, etc. A woman can pick any of them and legions of women will blindly support her. I will never forget a late friend whose wife cheated on him while carrying a 7 months old pregnancy. You could hardly find a more gentle & responsible guy. And many others. |
fapcrook:Broccoli is a very important crucifer/brassica. As long as you eat other crucifers like cabbage, cress, cauliflower, daikon, radish, kale, swede, rutabaga, Brussels sprouts, etc, fine. Yes some like broccoli, cabbage, B sprouts, cauliflower can produce "gas" but they are some of the most nutritious plants known. |
Well NASS members are just being realistic. Corruption is now part of national fabric. It is here to stay. Simple. It will take a revolution to change: heads rolling, hilltop mansions seized & turned into public hospitals, public library, town hall or kindergarten, etc. |
Good question. |
People still pretend not to know that religion is politics. Whether Kingdoms, Sultanates, caliphates, Empires, emirates, right Egyptian times, religion was always at the centre of state affairs. Attempt to separate clergy from state is a fairly recent stuff. Mostly from French revolution. And has never really succeeded. Even ISIS is just following the trend in a brutal way. Not unseen in the past though. We have Sharia law in many Northern States in Nigeria. Fr. Mbaka supported Buhari APC in election. The Catholic church did not silence him. If Nigeria was a successful country with a good living standard by now, many of the things going on right now won't. |
Built2last:Cool stuff. |
Why go compare pampered bingo dog to a seriously starved lion?? We're 200 years behind those people. No comparison at all. |
After dem yab themselves finish for NL, na bedroom dem dey conclude am. ![]() HML! |
Very odd. In 2017? |
This world nor go settle Lai Lai. The rich organising their kids for each other. Na wa. |
TijaniAbu:Lol. Sure he can become member of parliament or minister, even UK pm. He can also become Governor-General (representing the Queen as head of state) of New Zealand, Australia, Canada (though mostly Canadian citizens are chosen nowadays) and others. He would have made an excellent UK politician if he had chosen UK politics. But you know 9ja politics & corruption are 5 & 6. ![]() |
Very unhealthy. Problem is the bigger you get, the harder to lose weight. If he can afford it, he can try surgical option is repeated genuine attempts to shed weight fails. |
deepwater:Actually in developed countries animal cruelty can send you to jail. Not like in 9ja where many abuse pets anyhow. People in developed countries (where this case occurred) know the law. Therefore protecting and nurturing a lower life form should make them more empathetic towards fellow humans. The guy just lost his cool. And also the African way of disciplining kids. |
Ereolamide:Waje wrote Kokodie, which resembles Kokodia more closely. You're correct about old Yoruba. Actually mostly Eastern Yoruba blended with Benin. What Waje wrote there is much closer. Depending on location in Ovia (Osse) LGAs of Edo State. |
onuwaje:Chai! Waje, thanks for this thread. I see Yoruba & Edoid languages (Benin/Urhobo/Isoko/Esan, etc) blended nicely. Kokodia is an ancient Benin name for Coconut, a term only used by elderly people or babalawo now. By the way Itsekiri closely resembles dialects spoken in some parts of Ovia LGAs in Edo State: Usen, Egbeta, Ogbese, etc. |
abmendozer:Hahahahahaha! ![]() Kai! 9ja case na hopeless one. 9ja needs to send all these men in black packing & start afresh. Minimum HND and 100k to 125k pay to start after training. To attract decent people. With a strong process/procedure of catching reckless & corrupt ones in place. |
tomakint:He may bot be Elijah but what he said about Buhari's health has been nearly spot on. People forget that he has many friends & contacts within APC and knows many things we do not know. And Buhari is abroad treating illness for almost 5 months already. I think only huge amount of money (buying excellent foreign medical care) has kept him alive so far. If not Fayose's prediction would have happened already. |
I guess around 109 to 115. Many people in my family made that age and a bit more. WW1 & amalgamation of Nigeria were key reference points. Some already adults then. Some just got married then. Some had ID document used to work with Europeans then. With age on it. If not their ages would have been either reduced or increased. |
HungerBAD:In Britain Commonwealth citizens can become UK prime minister too. Saraki's only issue would be corruption and incompetence like all Nigerian politicians, not his place of birth. He has a Nigerian dad and passport. Left to me we should lend Nigeria to the Canadians or Australians to manage at a profit for 50 years. Within a short time, they have made a success of themselves. Newer successful countries like them will know how to build a country faster. |
greatbrian:Long invented. Plucked fresh corn. Just sprinkle a little pepper powder, if you like a little salt and fry with a little olive oil. You can add a little fresh parsley. Nice desert. ![]() |
TinaAnita:Maybe she's not the trashy type & is somewhat gentle. I doubt she's short of rude stuff to say but just held back responsibly. |
People just like to yab as if they are models for Chanel or Calvin Klein. The girl saying wor wor has no pic to show. It can only be envy. |
My brother you are not alone. Many have closed shop or drastically reduced further investment. We were all keen on farming few years ago. But now animal feed has become so expensive, labour cost to farm cassava, plantain, palm and others have skyrocketed. Plans to venture into a little food processing business that was a passion 3 years ago has been shelved. My humble advise is as a family man travelling will impact on your family greatly. Just hold your money. You can put it in a domiciliary account. At least that will reduce temptation to use it. And reduce fall in value. Cash is very important. Hold it if you can. In another 12 months we would be wiser. Maybe approaching election under a year from thence will make FG finally try to stimulate the economy somehow. I am not holding my breath though. |

And soon many will say Nigerian doctors are the worst. Biko, can doctors running on "empty stomach" for good two years be the best in the world? |
kolafolabi:Reason I say the military created states anyhow. No need splitting Kano, Oyo, Bendel, Imo, Anambra, Kwara, Ondo, Sokoto etc. Many of the new states are not sustainable. We needed restructuring: bringing governance to LGA & ward level. Not creating new state executive bureaucracies/civil service that siphon state budgets. |
Jonathan brought Nissan & others back to Nigeria to start assembling cars again. And they said he was not good. But here they are celebrating assembling Chinese tablets. Hahahaha! Chai! The old cargo generations that ruined this country are even better than this current hopeless generation. ![]() |
Real lala here this one. ![]() |
Great. Kudos. |
