Love Machine:True. If they check carefully, he would have received threats in the past. But 9ja way is inconclusive. Nothing will happen. |
tosyne2much:I have no idea. But the first thing is did it happen? Even a marriage blessed with several kids can degenerate into a veritable mess when things go sour. If indeed it happened, she could have a number of motives. It is not new for people to kiss & tell. Worldwide. |
uvalued:This is the problem with religious zealots. You guys cannot be objective. Where did I say Suleman did it? I mentioned that you guys are not interested in the truth. Truth can be found out. If I was Suleman, knowing my reputation matters, I can do the following: (1) Sue Otobo for providing fake photos & dialogue as mine. A criminal act. (2) Sue her for libel to clear my name. Both will result in the materials being properly investigated. Just quoting God for exoneration is not enough, considering the corruption & immorality involving all sectors of society today. Zealots want us to believe what they say because they mention God. Not enough. |
Ashleydolls:You seem to have forgotten how powerful brainwash can be. If this kind of OP catches Sule on top his own wife, he will even believe God instructed the pastor to do it. Religion is supposed to enlighten people. But in 9ja, it has set us back by centuries. They care not about finding out the truth. We are now in the European middle ages when MOGs had a final say on most things. Forget social media, flashy cars & Iphone 7. Mentally, we are centuries behind. |
abescom:How did you know that? So you think those who go to church/mosque or even pastors do not patronise Babalawo/Iyalawo or Dibia/Ezemo? ![]() Would she say so publicly? Which Christian prays for God to punish others, perhaps even the aunt of her own children? People religious these days but do not understand the message of religion. |
peterpen:Look, there is now a dedicated crop of SW pseudo intellectuals doing their utmost to denigrate Benin history. They have seen that even without Oba Benin travelling up & down to North & South America, Europe and whatnot, Benin history keeps coming up on Western TV. Like BBC frequently showing Benin in documentaries. Without any lobby. Their kids in diaspora report that alongside ancient Egypt, they were taught History of Benin Empire in school. As part of African history. They are worried about the prominence of our history. So they have began a long term strategy of revisionism. We cannot ignore them anymore because they are trying very hard. Look at what another SW person wrote: Maydfourth: Please let us not distort history...Ooni is not a king...Please go and get ur facts together...Ooni was a chief priest to Oduduwa and was in charge of all the deities in Ife land...He was never a child of Oduduwa and not entitled to rule ..He was assigned to keep the home when Oduduwa died and none of his children were around since they have gone to sojourn and capture other territories for themselves...Please don't say that OONI is a king in the presence of a a true OYO PRINCE...Ask anybody what is the meaning of Arole Odua... Even among SW people, there's controversy over Ooni matter. But some are still honest enough to say it as they know it. Whether Mayfourth is right or wrong, I do not know. But I have heard his version from others many times before. However, most are closing ranks to gradually kill this version. Desperate to close the "Grand Canyon" chasm in their ever-changing stories/versions. They have been arguing that Oduduwa was not a Benin Prince. But we know the truth. We also know that his son Oranmiyan came to Benin. And later to other places. When did he return to Ife to become Ooni? Even if he returned, it doesn't mean that he became King. Was Ooni stool just there waiting for him considering that usurpation was common then? Could the chief Priest actually have deputized and later took the throne? If he did, with time, his descendants would have tried to legitimise it by claiming blood ties with Oduduwa. Most Arab Kings today claim blood links to Prophet Mohammed (PBUH). In Benin, even Evian's (chosen city leader in the absence of an Ogiso/heir) son Ogiamien tried usurping the throne in Benin but failed, because Benin people fiercely resisted & Oranmiyan came. Benin people's resistance was understandable because Ogiso dynasty had over 33 Kings previously. Around 1,000 years of existence from about 40 BC. It was well-established already. Whereas Oduduwa dynasty was only very recent and therefore even much more prone to usurpation. They have many stories from their Benin History Denial Centre (BHDC) but very watery as usual. When some of them cannot come up with a credible narrative, they begin to swear & use gutter language like agbero. ![]() |
wolfofallstreet:Not to mention Olowo of Owo. In colonial times, Shehu of Borno was rated next to Sultan of Sokoto. Then Op forgot Emir of Bida (Etsu Nupe) & Emir of Zazzau/Zaria. Though some kings were only recently elevated to first class. Politics. It is like Federal universities, there are first, second, third generation and so on. |
[quote author=AuroraB post=54661263]My exact thoughts. And if it were his juju failing him, couldn't someone have pulled him out of that poodle .Shock of being caught can "paralyse" some people sef. ![]() A heavy blow to his spine may well be responsible. |
dacblogger:True. But there are few genuine ones though. Most do it because religion and society demand it. For others it is a meal ticket and supposedly offers security. Facts is things change. A healthy person can be ill tomorrow. A rich person today can be poor tomorrow. How many are really ready to keep the "in sickness & in health, for richer for poorer & for better for worse" bit of it? ![]() Some think they are too good to settle for less. Without being realistic about what they themselves bring to the table. |
True. But because we are super-hypocrites in 9ja, truth is not welcome. |
Adminisher:Under construction. Right? Since when? What is the projected Mw of the "massive one?". ![]() Obviously not reliable enough to still need environmentally dangerous dams. I know praise singing people can never see the damage being done. To the landscape their kids will inherit one day. |
Her bitterness and public outburst shows she could not have been that innocent lady. Did her inlaws make her husband cheat? I guess she never endeared herself to her inlaws one bit. It is not easy but it is one of those tricky things every serious wife has to somehow master. Some marriages are just not meant to work. In her case there were too many issues. |
So with all the sun in the North, we still cannot harness clean solar energy? Still digging up the landscape and disturbing rivers and other water bodies? |
Ayoolajumoke:Many benefits like sampling that babe in a sumptuous ambience. ![]() And a chance to live a life of fantasy. When you have little going for you like that dude, every little flexing is a big deal. He was not going to be working there for life anyway, so why not flex now? ![]() |
saintmark88:Like Abacha and IBB, Atiku and co? So sending MKO Abiola to jail and letting him die there was honesty and loyalty Hahahaha. ![]() After around 40 years of their " honest and loyal" rule they could not take Nigeria anywhere. Yet they wanted Jonathan to do magic under 6 years while unleashing Boko Haram. Disgraceful that without you even knowing it you are using this fallacy to justify incarceration of innocent Southerners. Like Pa Ajasin, Alex Ekwueme, confiscation of Pa Awo's passport by Buhari in 1983. While core Northerners were left alone. Northerners also claim "leadership ability". ![]() Very funny. Leading incessant coups and using decrees to rule is not leadership. Also using skewed population figures and national character to get juicy positions is not leadership. Rather look at the results of the leadership. Like a messed up & divided nation, massive illiteracy, VVF, child marriage & poverty in the same North. And a poor country generally despite huge resources. |
Ayoolajumoke:Now you get the gist. You as people like fine things. He might have claimed to owner is his aunty or uncle. Drivers and house boys do same. |
Sheggy13:Do not be fooled. Buhari's govt had already decided not to disclose the loot amounts. Magu was never going to go against that. They only publish figures when targeting key "enemies". Those from GEJ govt. And I doubt if those figures are even correct. They may well be more or less. But they know those figures are excellent for media trial and will cause outrage. His post-senate screening comments simply show the born-to-rule arrogance common with Northern elite. |
KayTash:Tiwa? ![]() |
madridguy:Fact is we have no social welfare system. Even if our economy grew at 12.5 to 15% annually, many in the queue will never get any tangible benefit from it. And most have never got any direct benefit from any govt. Although this might seem populist, it directly benefits the common man. |
brunofarad:Lots of food like potato chips need not be fried. Just put it in the oven. In addition, most food need no oil, especially red palm oil. Tomato paste/puree will give it almost same red colour. |
Sigh. Is this what Africans should be worrying about? Luxury goods that puts lots of money in the pockets of already rich countries? It is this unnecessary long throat that has caused so much corruption. |
OP are you a learner? Is it today you know that people are banging each other left, right & centre, married or not? Funny that you had to be hanging out in a guest house "pucee-sniffing" to know. Abeg volunteer your nose to the police to replace sniffer dog. Or to EFFC to smell looted money. That will stop your tatafo. ![]() Regarding women & infidelity, we do not believe in juju anymore. That used to scare women. Now anything goes. Polygamy has been part of African culture. Yes we can enumerate many demerits of it. But was polyandry ever in our culture? No. Many subsequent wives begin as gfs or bang-mates. ![]() I guess if suddenly Europeans/Americans allow polygamy, we Africans will simply follow them. Follow follow is our way. Like we are gradually, albeit reluctantly, following gayism now. Law or no law. |
The thing Baba@dTop take do pr*ck & ntoto matter dey surprise person. Ah ! Ah! |
SirWere:And we Africans are fighting & killing ourselves over it. Something we do not even properly understand. |
I fear anybody who does not fear human beings. ![]() RIP. |
Congrats. |
zik4ever:Ol' boy, they will not understand your grammar o. This is a country of political emotion, impunity and disregard for rule of law as long as it suits you. However corrupt or incompetent NASS might be, were they not elected to ensure things are done according to law? Is the DSS report genuine? Is the concern therein weighty enough to disqualify him? Did Buhari investigate this matter enough before re-nominating him, etc ? Questions that should matter are not being asked by most. |
Nice. But certainly not the oldest in Edo. |
and I cannot see air force jets going to carpet bomb the so called illegal miners. If ND now, they will be blood thirsty. I wonder if those Northerners will accept 13% of the proceeds from FG. ![]() |
Obiwannn:I wonder. Another chance to sack innocent Southerners and those perceived to support PDP. Nigeria is built on a faulty foundation. All these mess are just symptoms. Severe ones at that. |
NNVanguard:Let them be fooling themselves. We are not even qualified to provide security for a chicken coop at the moment. Nigeria ought to withdraw from all these regional or African nonsense and focus on developing Nigeria first. Without distraction. Then reach separate agreements with individual countries. Create a truly powerful/professional defence force. Morocco was outside OAU for decades. Yet it is one of the most advanced African nations. |
