Cutehector:Actually wrong and that is the root of the problem. Perhaps she believes at 63, no need for sex. Some believe that after menopause, sex is pointless. Admitted, some actually have more pain due to dryness. Sex should be encouraged for as long as possible, even well into their 90s. ![]() With lubrication, it can work well. It's also a mental boost, signifying relative good health & youthfulness. It is also one of the few cardiovascular exercises that elderly people can do without even being conscious of it. Health care providers should routinely address it, letting them know that sex & desire in old age are quite normal. The regular "oh, I'm too old for that" might be used as a mask, for fear of being seen as a pervert or weirdo to still crave for sex. In our increasingly nuclear families, in old age, there can be only very few moments of joy, in between illness, boredom, retirement & loneliness when kids have left home. Sex should be one of them. |
EverestdeBliu:Abi o. I don't even know his foreign minister sef. No surprise since he said ministers are only noise makers. He never appointed them believing they are to deliver, but just to fulfil constitutional requirements, compensate campaigner donors/propagandists & to "zombically" follow his orders, however clueless they might be. Hence he delayed their appointment for as long as he could. Leaving the country without a direction in a period of difficult economy. The report card is the worse economy we have now. ![]() |
Sanchase:They said GEJ had a large fleet, that they will sell them off if voted. I thought GMB would be using KABO, ADC if they exist. Certainly Arik or Aero Contractor. That time dem never sabi how free plane ride dey sweet. Na different song dem dey sing now. |
Youngk:Really interesting that they hardly ever travel together. ![]() |
OBAGADAFFI:Name of the new Olori sir. ![]() |
Is she there to study or look for her Johnny? ![]() |
IkpuMmadu:Elaborate sir. Events, battles, figures/personalities and dates would help enlighten all of us. I can claim to be the first to land on the moon. Without it been recorded in history and folklore, it cannot be seen as probable/true 200 years from now. ![]() |
martineverest:Ubuluku (Oboro) in Benin was a vassal chiefdom to Benin Empire, certainly during the reign of Oba Akengbuda (1750-1804). It was during this period that Ogie Oboro (ruler of Ubuluku) came to Benin for confirmation/validation of his title. In Benin, he saw the beautiful daughter of Chief Ezomo of Benin, the Field Commander of Benin Imperial Army. Her name was Adesua. Adesua refused his advances, even insulting him as a bush ruler. Adesua was already betrothed to the Oba. Ogioboro somehow lured Adesua to Oboro. When she refused his further advances, he had her murdered. War was declared on Oboro, with express order to bring Ogioboro's head to Benin. And that's what happened. Like all provincial dukes and chiefs of those days, ogioboro would have been given insignia of office including Ada (scimitar), Eben (sword), coral beads, mode of dressing, etc. Those insignia (ada & eben) are still clearly designed into the back of the chair. There is a Lancelot Oduwa Imasuen Nollywood film called "Adesuwa" featuring Olu Jacobs (as Ezomo n'uti), Bob Manuel (as Ogioboro) based on it. |
naijaking1:Face saving won't let them. For now. For the time being, they will be hurling insults on those who dare to compare GMB to GEJ like this Northerner just did. In fact they will say he's Igbo or Ijaw masquerading as a Northerner. Siddon look. ![]() |
jeeqaa7:As in Schwarzenegger iyan! Leave the babe o jare. We need comic relief. ![]() |
If with Corruption Dollar was 180 and without Corruption Dollar is now 425,Brothers and Sisters, you will agree with me that we need corruption in this country..Hahahahaha! You mean corruption is a major economic sector that we failed to recognise and include in our GDP. 9ja is a peculiar place. One cannot totally dismiss this assertion. ![]() |
Sommyangel:My dear, God bless you. Madam 2Baba makes the whole thing appear like her hubby is one helpless innocent (no pun intended) boy, being seduced by one irresistible temptress. As if they have ever been alone in the relationship. ![]() How about talking to her hubby? |
jerayme:Which school is that? Well in my uni back in the day what you call 50% is Standardised score of 50%! That means, whatever exam board has set as raw pass mark, be it 96% will be weighed as 50%. So you think someone who wants to puncture your large artery 50% of the time or fail to safely deliver a baby 5 out of 10 times will be unleashed on the population? You think it works like that? The system here in the West is likely to be similar to 9ja. He did well but we seem to make a fuss about degree class in 9ja a lot. I know some people with 1.1 from unis rated top 20, top 10 in the world and nobody makes any fuss. |
Aspiregreat:Med is not calculated like most other degrees. Pass mark in some exam components can be 94%, 89%, 84% and other such outrageous marks. Some grades that leads to carry over would be a distinction grade in some other degrees. Imagine getting 93% and having to retake. ![]() |
Na wa o. Eleyi gidi. |
Before nko? Men know nothing about cheating. Men just do gragra as usual. Girls are the smooth operators. Me I don't get fooled any more. I know from female friends that most have anything from 1.5 to 5 guys at a go. The 0.5 is the occasional one. ![]() |
This made FP last week already na. |
magicminister:Of course they sell to those in power! They are making big bucks why their zombies chant change and believe all the lies. What I heard from banking sources over last two weeks is shocking. People are making a killing. ![]() It is good to be well-educated and be all-rounded to run a country. If you're not, when you bring tough policies, those around you quickly see the flaws and exploit it behind your back. Especially if you're the type that is allergic to advice and set in your ways. |
amunkita:Demon be like "Ok! Ok! I'll leave. Please just don't bring those shoes an inch closer dude." ![]() |
The hustle is real dude. ![]() The word has to be wild like a lion to enter human ears these days. And everything in the world is wild these days too, with all the orisirisi happenings. ![]() So any which way, na wild word + wild world. ![]() |
omonnakoda:Hahahahaha! Excrement & bucket. You heard stories. If only I didn't know Lagos then, I might believe it was like that all over Lagos. As if people don't poo in gutters and Lagoon in parts of Lagos now You're too angry to put your thoughts together. Until others follow Truworths physically leaving 9ja, you won't admit. He doesn't even know that most investments are not in brick & mortar. Hahaha. Mr Guru, well done. As you travel wider and educate yourself better, you will realise you currently know nothing. It is allowed, enjoy your youthful exuberance. Good luck omniscient guy. ![]() |
omonnakoda:Are you ok? You're very angry. Not good I tell you. You mentioned Egbin & 1981 in ur post? Can you string thoughts, answer & reply together? What population does Egbin has to supply now? Development is not just about doing, but adequacy of what is done. Well, FDI has gone into agriculture. A German company Vicampro has a massive potato farm in Bokkos, Plateau. South Africans have also set up cattle farms in Nassarawa and other places in the Middle Belt/North. Then power sector to fund small power plants. The Chinese govt via their development bank has invested in railway too. These are non-oil & gas. People in a hurry to totally condemn GEJ's government like to forget these investments over the last few years. |
chidekings:Wo, tell us the miracle you expect so that we can know the prayer point. Is it that Saudi, Iran, Kuwait, Qatar, Algeria, Libya should run dry of oil & gas? Libya & Algeria become middle East when it suits. ![]() |
omonnakoda:Your abusive nature doesn't speak good of you. And you will describe yourself as coming from a sophisticated and respectful people? I always knew all that is eye service before the back-biting. Yes, many of you jambites spew trash here. You only get to see them when jamb results are released. Because they completely misinterpret the little they glean from google. What was the population of Nigeria/Lagos in 1981? Has Nigeria developed at the same rate it did from 1970 to 1983 compared to 1983 to now? Since you know it all, tell us the figures of all the investments. |
magicminister:But abused people can become compliant and fearful. She might actually have loved him and thought (wrongly) that he would change. If she complained, friends might have advised her "oh, pray for God to touch his heart" and such things. As we read from NLers here often. RIP young lady. |
omonnakoda:I don't know how old you're but I guess you didn't grow up to meet the period we had almost constant light, steady water, good roads etc. We had Michelin, Dunlop, VW and others producing or assembling in 9ja. PAN of course too. Cost of production became too high, that producing abroad and importing made more sense. You will still see remnants at Ojo. What you don't realise is how many million people died of poverty in India & China during that period of protectionism. Protectionism has to be reasonable. Nobody is saying we should import amala or ewedu. ![]() Provide a conducive environment first. Pentecostalism took so much hold because of poverty & fear of poverty (by those relatively well off). I saw people (able-bodied, young) thronging a Pentecostal church in Mushin area one Tuesday morning. How many gainfully employed people in Toronto, Sydney or New York will have time for that? God seems their last hope. Government in 9ja has no time for them. Now, for Lebanese and others, some have experience investing elsewhere like Kenya, Uganda beforehand. Some just open a branch in 9ja. We also generally give favourable terms to foreigners than ourselves when granting licences, etc. Especially if those foreigners know how to help govt officials launder money. Dangote has tomato plants in Kaduna & kano I learnt. Hopefully it will get better. Take even cement, we have limestone in abundance but cement is VERY expensive compared to most developing countries. Cost of production partly responsible. If you have ever run a business in 9ja, you will appreciate this cost aspect. Sure we need more entrepreneurs. To do good business, you need money, which banks prefer to lend to oil & gas sector instead of a an adventurous beginner. In those countries where people are more entrepreneurial, they get incentives from government, whether it is tax rebate, low corporation tax, etc. Where do you think money has been coming from if not FDI? FDI in my opinion includes investment in stock market, state govts borrowing internationally to invest, our banks having easy access to cheap international money that they lend locally at cut-throat rate etc. Usually to oil & Gas & big businesses. Not just one Paris based company setting up shop in Okitipupa. Oil boom had only one major impact: we were able to increase foreign reserve that boosted FG credit worthiness, helped maintain Naira value, so that borrowing from abroad was easier and FDI flowed into a country not likely to go bankrupt. Oil money by FG and state allocations went 70% into recurrent expenditure |
MAYOWAAK:You know psychiatric care in 9ja is very rudimentary. People affected live in denial. Family members don't want to have "craze person" in their family. Others are labelled as being weak. Problem is, there are very many socio-economic challenges in 9ja, millions of people not sure if the can even afford lunch or dinner today, poverty, illness, marital discord, kids at home for lack of school fees, joblessness, abysmal working conditions and so on. The whole cocktail is a perfect recipe for mental health issues. I think some states in 9ja barely have a single well-equipped psychiatric hospital. We are sleepwalking into a major mental health crisis. Pathetic. |
Nothing person nor go see. ![]() |
It seems 9ja condones jungle justice a lot. If indeed the man touched her, he just got away from a sexual offence & assault charge. He won't be registered and monitored as a sex offender. So other women won't be protected. She just committed assault & GBH. And got away with it. The court ought to weigh if the force she used was commensurate, since she did not deny injuring him. But to most Nigerians, this is just grammar. Supposedly educated people applauding violence is shocking. It shows that things don't work well in 9ja, whether it's light or law enforcement/justice. I had the chance to cheaply use agbero or a senior police officer relative to kick out a chronic debtor tenant. But instead I used the long drawn out legal process. Costing more money. Nobody is gonna bring change, no matter campaign promises. Changing from a lawless, violent to a civil, cultured and law-abiding society must begin with us. |
ratiken:You see, people do not know the complexity of the economy. Let's take Cuba. Cuba has no money to import. And embargo is just being lifted. Now, Cuba has had to improvise, aside plenty of health care professionals churned out cheaply & high literacy rate, has isolation & so-called looking inwards helped Cuba? NO. Nigerian economic boom since 1999 has been based on FDI. Foreign money came aplenty. We have a market economy. With infrastructure, especially electricity & good roads/trains, local industry will rise again. Right now, locally produced goods are more expensive than imported due to adverse environment in 9ja. India & China once practiced protectionism, it did not help their economy. |
Onijagidijagan:Up to 2.3k o. |
