cornel994:People are chanting "the guy is black o", have we been so brainwashed to despise anything black? When did black people come to be expected "not to be black"? Of late, I see even men in their 50s suddenly looking yellow, do we hate black skin so much? I never hear white people say some of them are too white. Na wa o. Sad. |
It takes a lady to know a man. Sadly, most females who say they want real men are mentally kiddies themselves. To them, a real man is a guy with a lot of money and already made, provides them all the good things of life. In return, all they have to do is just look beautiful and open their legs. Well, that maybe ok for a man looking for a trophy babe. Otherwise, it doesn't work that way. You cannot expect respect when you're just a leech. ![]() |
The hurry to implicate GEJ by proxy is making EFCC do a shoddy job. Shame. |
Sorry dude. Tell the world what happened and move on. 50% of firstborn kids belong to another man outside: this is how it happens. 30% of all kids belong to another man outside. A lot continue cheating after marriage. Enough said. |
TOSINSESI:No o, dem say na him go rescue this country. We dey siddon look. ![]() |
Sultanchidi:Abeg make she born one pikin put jare. Dem say money wey you spend on woman wey born for you nor lost. Make Edo State get one pikin at least. ![]() |
EggovinMma:Clothe weaving from cotton and other materials has been around for a very long time o. Heat & affordability may have prevented some from wearing them. When Ana de Sousa Nzinga Mbande (Queen Anna Nzinga) of Ngola (now Angola) died in 1663, expensive clothes made in Benin Empire were among the precious materials like gold, silver and others used to bury her. It was recorded by the Portuguese. Like most things about much of her life as Portuguese had been in Ngola for a long time then. I have no doubt they also made cheaper clothes for the average person in the empire. And nothing stops other tribes and kingdoms/Empires in current Nigeria from also having the ability/skills to weave clothes then. |
jordyspices:Abi, na today nyansh dey for back? |
Now this country is heading for serious religious trouble. Serious one. We're sleepwalking into it. |
Tunami:One thing I don't understand about some Yoruba people. If any of them follow a different path and doesn't follow what others follow, they tag him " not proper Yoruba, omale, lack Yoruba training, has taken bribe". Yoruba is a massive tribe and it's even in Yoruba interest to promote diversity of opinion and not all running in same direction every time. If all Yoruba were PDP and all praising GEJ, there might be no APC government now. I may not like APC's government & the lies they told to get to power, but at least we now know that one party cannot just remain in power forever. It can be voted out. That alone is a good thing. This respect for elders, even corrupt and erring ones no matter what means that old out-dated politicians keep leading us astray in 9ja. |
See the cheek & effrontery of people these days. To even come public with this. This OP will also blame a thief beaten unclad in the street. Is it not the same looking for short-cut to achieve something? |
I commend her courage & confidence. Nor be like some people wey dey die to get man but yet go dey form when nice guys approach her. There might be some guys out there looking for marriage without any hanky-panky too. |
Dis wan wey u dey go UK hope say no be home video dem go act wit ur Kingdom oooo? If ur uncle has the heart of Chinwetalu Agu ( ovoko man), wahala go dey oooo
Hahahaha! You be confirmed werey! ![]() That Chiwetalu ehn. Na one serious clown. Ovoko! Very fine actor. Honestly, if just to write A level in UK, that's OK. May be only till August. But better to stay in 9ja for university. UNN, UNIBEN, UNIZIK, etc. Somewhere not too far from Ubulu-Uku. |
engrwilliam5000:what about a smaller pool just for kids? How much? Like 3.00 x 2.00 x 0.80 depth? |

Is it by force to have a lion in a zoo? If you cannot look after it, don't keep it. Haba! |
Painful loss. From experience, one feels very deflated. But never give up . |
APC senate president. Kwantiniu. ![]() |
Many people who castigate Jonathan do so from ethno-centric "na we get 9ja" position. If you travelled on that road about 8 to 10 years ago and spent 12 hours from Berger to University of Benin, you will appreciate GEJ's work. That road has never been as good as it was around 1990. Until the last few years. Many NLers are Jambites. The most they remember is Abdusalam Abubakar's govt. ![]() |
Ebayray:I have said several times that Balottelli's behaviour is partly due to racist childhood experience in Italy. He had to be hard, petulant, rebellious, defiant and tough to survive in such an environment. Of course he won't say that because of political correctness. |
Areas with frequent ritual killing like parts of Ogun State should have a special police squad/unit to study, investigate and prevent this. If it affects even one village, LGA, or state, it affects the whole country. No need to tribalise this wickedness. ![]() |
cbrass:Would be nice. In 1938, they returned Oba Ovonramwen's royal regalia. Oba Akenzua II is seen wearing the regalia to welcome Queen Elizabeth in Benin on January 9th, 1956. The only one officially returned. In 2014, Dr Mark Walker, great grandson of one of the invaders returned two items inherited from his family. One long beaked bird and a gong/egogo. 9ja government doesn't do much, there are better things like oil money to concentrate on. Prince Edun and the palace have been fighting, requesting, etc. Even the Greek government hasn't achieved getting Britain to return looted ancient statues and marbles, let alone a lackadaisical 9ja govt. See the two items attached below. |
Ol' boy, go join them Alibaba, Ay and co. ![]() |
Much ado. She's just another teenager, not any worse than others out there. |
tollytexy:You see, pointing a finger at GEJ was/is easy. As if the ministers (some chosen by state governors) who didn't perform were not part of the clueless population that 9ja has become. Suddenly, Nigerians had a bright idea. Let's bring back a 70+ man kicked out by his underlings over 30 years ago. In that period out of government, he never published a memoir or autobiography, no newspaper columns, no further education, no succesfully run company, no foundation, no presidential library or the like. His cv since then has been Working for Nigeria's worst dictator Abacha, preaching about his commitment to Sharia, refusal to honour Oputa panel and a return to cattle rearing of his childhood. And we all expect economic miracle. Which country with enlightened and serious people does that? Before we castigate GEJ, GMB and their performance in office, should we not check how smart we are in political decision making first? |
littlemistress:Cough.....50% of first born kids belong to another man outside. 30% of all kids belong to another man outside. Research result. Were they all fathered by holy spirit? How did it happen without the women cheating? Even good old Durex did a survey that gave 9ja women the worst score card in fidelity stakes. Men still have this illusion that only them play away. Women use this poor judgement to cheat. And quite mercilessly too. She can even get a lot of material/monetary, rapid promotion at work and other rewards from it. The incentives are huge and many are weak and fall for it. Women know how to chop clean mouth whereas men chop a little and use the soup to rub mouth. ![]() Think of it. To cheat a woman doesn't have to chat men up, make the phone calls, no buying expensive gifts, no paying for dinner, etc. She just has to say yes to her boss at work, a neighbour, local big boy, her husband's/bf's friend, an array of social media guys wooing, etc. ![]() |
benedictnsi:Lol. Especially these days that girls can date 20 guys at the same time. Until engagement, lots of girls would date many guys at same time if they have the time, energy and feel it's worth it. ![]() |
cbrass:Several reasons. Benin also has one of the few national museums in Nigeria. So logical that most Benin arts should be in National Museum in Benin. The major reason for being in Museums abroad is because when British Forces invaded Benin, razed the palace and burned most of the city in 1897, apart from deporting Oba Ovonramwen to Calabar, they also carted away thousands of Benin arts to Europe. From Europe, some found their way to USA. About 2,400 pieces are in foreign museums: British Museum (700 pieces), Berlin Museum (580), Oxford Museum (327), Hamburg/Germany Museum(196) , Leiden/Holland Museum (98), Dresden/Germany Museum (182), New York Museum (163), Philadelphia/USA Museum (100), Leipzig/Germany Museum(87), Cologne/Germany Museum (73), Boston/USA Museum (28). And many but unknown number in private collections across the globe. Meanwhile Britain have only returned just a single item since 1897. ![]() They were sold by the British to cover the cost of the war against Benin. Meanwhile, only about 50 original pieces like the looted ones are in Nigeria as a whole. Most in Benin Museum are just replicas. Many other museums/collections worldwide have replicas. Of course these replicas are NOT counted among the looted pieces. |
Agubushmenyo:If you're so crucial to their work, you're not really getting paid, and you like the current flexibility, then they should bring you on board as a shareholder. That way, you share the risk but also potential benefit with them. If they won't bring you on board, and no prospect of a decent pay in the near future, move on. Because after you have helped them to grow, they can ditch you for somebody currently understudying you. I have seen it a few times before. Everyone is dispensable sooner or later. In the early days, Facebook gave shares to workmen & others renovating their offices because they had no cash to pay. Those people made a mint years later when they cashed in. ![]() |
Mindfulness:If only we could exploit them fully. We're wasting enormous talent/creativity. First make pidgin a second official language. The Jesus film in Pidgin I watched is one of the best I have ever watched. It was like your neighbour in 9ja hood talking to you. Oyinbo will come to be learning pidgin in 9ja. We need to be proud of our own stuff, not copy, copy, copy ever nonsense. |
