He forgets that if the economy is stable and growing, investors not only leave their money to work for longer, they invest new money. Keeps companies growing, employ more people, more companies float on NSE to raise money & expand/diversify. All this creates an economic boom, more employment and a stronger currency. With a stronger/stable currency, inflation is minimised.

We have too many economic illiterates in this country.

Actually very important. A large country like 9ja should be investing and controlling certain economic sectors in neighbouring countries instead of leaving it to France.

More Nigerians with technical, management PLUS linguistic skills will help. It will make our economy even bigger and increase regional economic influence.
At a personal level, I have found visiting Benin & CIV much more fun talking to locals in French.

It also opens a whole new vista.

For example, when I meet Francophone Africans in diaspora, speaking a common language quickly breaks down that barrier & suspicion that arose from different colonial brainwashing.

Men should also stop paying for love. Love is not a business transaction.

Not trying to blame OP, but that lack of love could have partly driven him to seek it outside.

Fact is most relationships are now based on mutual benefit than love.

In fact there are more men who love their wives than women who love their husbands. The reason is simple.

On the average men have more economic power. More women marry because of wealth than men who marry because of wealth.
On the long run, many find out that money is not enough for happiness.

Clearly, this loveless relationship might never have happened or lasted this long if the guy didn't foot the bills.
