I neva for once trust that Atiku guy.
I won't be surprised if by tomorrow it is announced that he has joined pdp.
We know that our politicians have no ideology or principle that guide them. Progressive, social democrat or conservative, all have no meaning in the Nigerian political jungle. It's winner takes it all.

But Atiku's political prostitution stinks to high heaven.

What can anyone pinpoint that Atiku stands for politically? Wheeler-dealer or carry-go politics?

At least rightly or wrongly, Buhari has an anti-corruption slogan that seems plausible to some people. Certainly enough to win a national poll.

I think confidence matters most.

In fact ladies have commented how I got the confidence to ask them to remove her earphone and talk to me. Or leave my seat in a train and come sit near her to chat.

I dated nice young ladies as an immigrant/student with barely a dime to my name. And I'm not exactly Denzel Washington look-alike either. grin cheesy

I don't think lots of people share our passion for this PKO biz or if they do, many are not showing it.

Do you know of any PKO buyers in Benin area (Edo State) or nearby?

I think the right word is Chief....each village in Edo state has their Chief..some rotate it from one family to the other after death..while it rotates withing a particular family in some villages..I am a proud Edo guy...but first,I am a Nigerian.
You are right, but since the loss of Benin Empire in 1897 and the coming of colonial rule, former vassal chiefdoms began to gain more independence.

In fact, as one of the conditions to restore Benin monarchy in 1914, the British insisted that Prince Ovbiudu (later Oba EwekaII) should sign away his control over former Benin Provinces in Ekiti, Ondo, some parts of current Edo State that are outside Bini speaking areas, Delta (including Warri). And he had no choice. Control over Lagos was already lost in the 1860s with the removal of Kosoko as Eleko.

But later, the British realised that the idea wasn't that brilliant as succession dispute became common. The British then realised that the best place to solve such disputes, is in Oba of Benin's palace. Since most of those chiefs/dukes were created or confirmed by previous Obas of Benin.

Some of those former vassal chiefs/dukes gradually lobbied their way with Nigerian establishment to be raised to second class and gradually even first class king.

Really? You obviously don't know Yayi. Boni Yayi obtained PhD in Economics in France well under age of 30. And that's with two masters degree in the bag already, from Benin & Senegal.

A banker of repute, both commercial & central banker. Even rising to President of West African Development Bank.

Those Francophones are not loud like us, hence we tend to underestimate them. Each time I was in Cotonou, I liked the humility & calmness.

Must we be crazy about another man's native tongue? When you're not a lawyer, journalist or a professional along those lines.
By the way, I have good command of several European languages. It learnt because I needed to.

But I'm not crazy about them, including English.

Well, why not try to see if his post has any merit? I mean for us to move forward in this country, we cannot succumb to bandwagon effect.

We should be ready to hold even our friends and family members to account if they are suspected of inappropriate conduct.

What is with courts granting injunctions against legal process?

I think people should rather have a chance to prove their innocence in court.

By the time they finish dealing with us, we will have no land. With the corruption in high places, we won't know when they change leasehold agreement to 2,000 years. Africans will have to pay a king's ransom for a plot of farmland. @hotmas, this thought came to my mind when I saw you with Indians inspecting farmland to plant cashew.

Agriculture › Re: How Can We EXPORT Our Agro PRODUCTS. by AreaFada2:
castruccio:
Hello... sorry i saw this late but i thkink the little information i will share here may be help ful

Exportation of your agro produce is not difficult at all. I will say all you may need to know as time goes on is the export language but that is not a problem.

What I am about to say here does not need you to register with NEPC or having a company with CAC registration

All you need to do is to register with AMEN Association of Micro Entrepreneurs of Nigeria. Why will you do this? This is because some agro commodities may need little processing, so you will have access to their machinery to process your agro commodities.

Another fact why you should register is, in the case of nafdac and son number, you can get that easily through them.

Please note that to register with AMEN is so easy and cheap as they will welcome you.

Then what you must have to do is to look for buyers. (I am going to satisfy this area soon.... watch out for afiaafrika.com and afiaafrika.com.ng cool) buyers for your agro commodities are not difficult to find with the use of gthe internet. Infact I have a collection of african restaurants and other industries in UK and the U.S. if you them please give your email address.

Then you can also use the internet as a leverage to get buyers abroad.

Hope this answers your questions, if it does'nt then ask me any questions,

N.B- if you are a farmer, please watch out for afiaafrika.com.ng while exporters and food processors should watch out for afiaafrika.com

Thanks
.

From AMEN website, they do ask for CAC registration or you can still register without CAC reg? And they mentioned an interview with the intending member. With 15k registration fee.

JayJustus:
couldn't agree with you more...people on here just comment without proper knowledge of what they saying...that's how someone in one thread claimed oxygen tanks work with electricity...phewwww..
.

Those fees are inaccurate:

I visit 9ja with European friends. Multiple visa depending on European nationality is up to $260. Then comes £20 embassy processing fee.

The anomaly of issuing a Visa in UK and putting visa fees in dollars shocked

Many Arab countries pay very little fees.

Black diaspora countries like Jamaica, T & T pay little or nothing, naturally to encourage tracing their African roots.

Germans, French far less than British, Irish, USA & Canadians.

Now, the anglophones who are more likely to consider visiting Nigeria for leisure have to pay more, why? Are really serious about tourism?

I fly to Morocco, Tunisia visa free with European passport. The Visa fee for 9ja visa alone buys you a ticket to Marrakech, Fez, Cassa in Morocco. So where do you think the average European would prefer to visit on holiday? Even before considering our security challenges, no light, expensive yet poor quality hotels.

All this gragra about raising visa fees, when nobody buys oil anymore our eyes go clear. Serious developing countries like Kenya, Uganda, even Ghana & Benin Republic have simplified visa regime and cost to encourage tourists from high income/strong currency countries.

Nigeria is still sleeping and beating chest because of oil.

Abraka in Delta State is a case study. It went from a sleepy small town to a University town. Many people are no more farmers. But they still eat a lot of banga soup & Owho soup. Without the traditional labourious work.

A professor a cardiology mentioned a study on it as one of the places with highest rate of heart disease. I was surprised to hear. A white professor here in UK. shocked shocked
