When a man or woman says no to something and you still want it by force. A man who could deny 4 kids can deny anyone or anything. He said he didn't want a child. from that point the lady should know she was more or less on her own marriage or no marriage. |
rokiatu:. Na true. The West won't say nothing. Let it be one of their own affected now, you will see it on CNN & BBC 24/7 with world leaders lining up to condemn it. |
Whatever you think of Jaonathan, he knew another 4 years would have been a nightmare. I was saying this even two years ago. Nigerian politicians are dangerous and deceitful. Only deceitfful people like OBJ, IBB & Tinubu & co can truly master the game either openly or behind the scene. That's the limitation of people like Fashola & Ribadu. They are too straight for the murky waters of Nigerian national politics. |
baysure9001:. Chai, you wicked fa. ![]() 29 years old car? You want him to spend his school fees repairing the car? |
Hehehehe. This na "snake in the fashion shadow" kinda shoes. ![]() |
Some musicians don't do voice training. It's very important. I don't know if we have professional voice trainers in 9ja. As angelic as Whitney Houston's voice was, she still did voice training. Virtually all Opera singers do it. Even some actors do it. |
cap28:This "Judge made law" as it is usually called as against An Act of Parliament, if you read it carefully, is not meant to be a stand alone excuse for murder. Only if an intergral part of a series of triggers. Even then the chances of acquittal in a retrial are still small. I doubt if such obtains in the law of the US state where the killing happened. |

. So the new greatness is the capacity/ability to kill? My mum was a great woman. She didn't have to kill a man to be one. Copycat pseudofeminists who have no idea what femininism is all about are having it all twisted. I have dated highly successful caucasians: a lawyer, a senior executive, a senior nurse, and a teacher. All still under age of 27. All obviously upwardly mobile in their respective areas. None of them let it get into their head. Even when I was still finding my feet as a foreigner. |
Justfollowit:Since u hv no evidence of any abuse, do not claim such as if it was biblical truth. At best be neutral since the dead is not here to dispute such claim. A woman apparently capable of physical harm to the point of killing, who's to say she wasn't the one abusing him physically and emotionally hiding behind the western legal system that favours women? What stopped her from leaving? A man stands to lose more in divorce in America. |
Justfollowit:. Do u hv any evidence that he did, like police record of domestic violence? Everyone knows that "abuse" excuse is the easiest way out of trouble for women. Some women can be pretty but hv zero character. |
Daughterzion:. I think it's a rather complex thing. Not as simple as many people see it. I for one cannot see why a guy would deliberately chose a fellow hairy creature above all the succulent beauties. .Or even risk prison or other severe punishment just to live a lifestyle/fad. We must realise that as perfect as nature tries to make things, there's always a deviation, even aberration. For example, as much as the body tries to correct errors during cell replication/division, some errors slip through the net. That can result in cancer in certain tissues if such errors accumulate. You can sometimes see a bunch of ripe fruits, one may have an odd colour compared to the rest. It's most likely that homosexuality has a strong natural/genetic aspect to it BUT the environment/culture one lives in plays a part too. It affects the desire to suppress, openly express, or even take it as a normal way of life or do the opposite. In ancient Rome & Greece, homsexuality was a normal thing. Alexander the Great and other leading Greek & Roman politicians were known or rumoured to have male lovers. It really only became a big deal in the Christian era in Europe. But in Africa, it appeared rather unknown or not talked about. |
SeverusSnape:. The hut deserves no less. It should be flattened and a toilet built upon it. ![]() |
I can't believe it. Granted bail? What? The boy is sick, the judiciary is even more sick. |
The thing looks familiar. Like old-fashioned eye-shadow abi pencil. Elderly people used to have something similar. Not sure though. Let her just tell you the truth. It may be harmless. |
fretnot:I think there should be two lists. Older generation & younger generation. Older generation led by Achebe & Soyinka. Younger one led by Osundare & Habila. |
searching4love:. My dear, how many have you written as a fluke? Antibiotics was discovered by mistake by Fleming. X-ray was discovered by coincidence by Roentgen. My late professor Sir James Black (Nobel Prize 1988) wasn't necessarily looking for beta-blocker (to treat heart failure, hypertension and thyroid disease) when he discovered it. Many things were discovered by mistake or co-incidence. Achebe deliberately sat down to write a book which was a success and here you're saying it was a fluke. |
debeey87:. Abi, there's no replacement for manpower. Not yet. In fact unreliable labour has affected the extent of my plans this year. Going smaller than I initially planned. |
If 9ja govt is serious, fines/levies should be imposed on SA companies in 9ja to compensate families of any Nigerians killed and to those whose livelihoods were destroyed in SA. It should run into millions of Dollars. If they refuse to pay, let them leave, other companies will take up the opportunity and vacuum left. Glo can expand/grow and hire more workers. |
whytepawn1:. Na today? It's only the sheeples who put the whole church thing on their head. Pastors & their famiiies dey flex like no tomorrow, from mansions to private jets. Nose ring & revealing wear na nothing. |
alobam1:. Nigeria just cannot do things without inviting everybody to come and eat. They will soon tell us it's from each of the 35 States, with only FCT not represented! I hope they will also not run a cumbersome cabinet with ministers of state everywhere. That's what we have been accusing PDP of doing. |
Wicked or no wicked, it's wrong. Her life maybe at risk. Nobody is better off dead. At least individual citizens don't have the right to make such a decision. The same people in that queue will pray the loudest in whatever religious house they visit. Their wickedness surpasses that of the troublesome lady. If she dies, the married Igbo lady could face manslaughter charges. |
Ibadan & Enugu make sense. The weather is the only concern, heavy rain and scorching heat and humidity. Not conducive to outdoor activities. That's what put mediterranean climes ahead. As for South Africa, if you're tired of having your head above your neck, you can go there. With Mandela gone, and economic conditions likely to get worse for the poorest South Africans, African solidarity that help force Apartheid out will be lost to history and fellow Africans will be hated more. |
SirShymexx:That was the original title of the early Benin-origin rulers of Eko beginning with Ashipa/Asipa/Esikpa. During Akintoye & Kosoko time too. Eleko wasn't considered the rank of an Oba as Alafin or Ooni for example under Benin influence until Dosunmu (called Docemo in British documents) signed over Lagos to the British. Even in the 1922 Lagos crisis period, it was still mostly Eleko. Kosoko hated the British imperialist ambitions just like his kin, the Oba of Benin despised the British. It was more like a duke then. The Oba title was initially an elevation in name to be at par with other first class Obas. Of course nobody would dispute the first class status of Lagos monarchy today and rightly so. I know ethnic jingoists will soon descend claiming Oba of Lagos was first son of Ododuwa. ![]() Luckily HRH Oba Oyekan was honest enough about the origin of Lagos monarchy when he was alive. His son was my classmate. |
Aminat508:. Amina, It's just that lots of women don't wanna see that we men are getting fed up with all the fake accessories: fake hair, fake bra, fake bum etc. Many guys just want it natural, dig it? But we dare not tell our ladies because they'd would say we don't appreciate the effort they put in to look good. You can look good and be simple. Without layers of make-up & foundation running into a metre deep! |
docsholz:. They are not yellow pawpaw & dem nor bleach their skin, u know na yellow pawpaw be fine these days. See the pressure women are under. Women like these are our mothers, aunties, teachers, neighbors, doctors etc. These are Nigerian mothers, similar to people we see everyday. People like to form as if na Oluchi or Agbani look-alike na surround them. SMH. |
Josh1000:. The smartest doctors I have seen are Anesthesiologists. By a mile. Not neurosurgeons (though very meticulous & manually superb) or cardiothoracic surgeons as one would expect. Their knowledge of the human body, physiology and pharmacology is encyclopedic. Some of the best teachers I have ever had. By the way, even in the last minute, an anesthesiologist can declare a patient unfit for surgery. And the surgeon can do nothing about it. Also, most deaths during surgery happen due to problems with anesthesia, not necessarily bleeding as a lot of people think, except where obvious accidents/injuries with considerable blood loss is involved. |
@Jethro, can you manage on one's behalf from A to Z? Like a watermelon farm. And how much will each phase cost till harvest & marketing and what will be your commission? |
Ura:. That's very true. We intend to do the poultry stuff by God's grace for about 5 years or less. Then raise the building and use for something else. The area might be very developed and complain about odour might start coming from neighbors. Considering what the scale could be then. A school is already under construction next door. It is being done such that not too much modifications to structure will be needed to turn it to flats to rent or some other commercial usage. Hopefully by then, one has acquired more space/acres out of town for poultry & piggery. Praying to God. Anyhow, one will start small, then hopefully invest more depending on how it goes, especially growth of broilers, point of lay chickens' performance & marketing. Otherwise feeding, medication and all can be overwhelmingly dear. |
EZEUDENE:. Lol, depends on size. I'm currently doing one. i want it to be relatively standard and durable structure with enough space to expand built in. 1.2 m is unlikely to finish it as things are going now. But I know others who started with 25 chicks or little more in a makeshift coop in the backyard with less than 20 to 30k. They have grown big now. |
