The loudest Buhari apologists didn't really witness his regime. They bask in stories of nostalgia told by parents and grandparents.

I was very impressed when I briefly met GMB in 1984 (he was Head of State) but his policies created much unemployment and did nothing to improve infratructure.

He inherited some problems from civilian goveernment but also a strong currency and a good manufacturing sector: automobile, tyre, consumer goods etc. But he imporoved nothing. He was busy cancelling capital projects, clamping down on press freedom, closing govt departments, selective justice and applying for OIC membership.

Even the debt repayment touted did not help Nigeria because other policies weren't sound.

IBB's devaluation of currency & SAP was an attempt to stimulate the faltering economy inherited from Buhari, which didn't work.

Consumer confidence was very low. Even our frequent family visits to Leventis reduced.

My own Saturday shopping at a local supermarket for caprisonne, cakes, buscuits, and yoghurt to entertain friends in my room reduced greatly too.

I had one like that. He squatted for over a year. He was working near my house. He was to spend a few days initially. He was just the friend of a friend o.
Though he went away on weekends to where he rented a house. He only kept that house because it was near his elderly girlfriend. Fairly common then in Europe for some to date any potential papers-giving babe.

He was spending heavily on that lazy oyinbo lady I gathered from his friends.

I generally expect sharp memory from people I deal with. I have a relatively good memory, so poor memory is hard for me to take.

From my experience as a student in Europe, your course is tailored towards real life relevance.

In many professional courses, problem based learning (PBL) is now the norm.

You learn using case studies that actually occured in a hospital, pharmacy, dental clinic, GP surgery, medical lab etc.

Things you will have to deal with daily as a nurse, dokita , dentist, physiotherapist etc. Even when doing theory.

I'm sure PBL can equally be applied to engineering, computer Science, architecture if not already the case.

I think in 9ja, we may have to streamline the curriculum and make some of those irrelevant course units elective. As a way of broadening universal education according to individual interests. It will save cost and time and focus students better.
