Meanwhile, they have used ogboju, threat of violence & forming a parallel government to bury Buhari's certificate issue. These are the people who were forming "issue based" campaign before. Talking of integrity & anti-corruption. PDP is bad, APC is worse. |
missjenna:. True. One reason is that guys now know the truth in most cases. The girl will usually be bleeping another person while forming holy holy for the "boyfriend". |
barcanista:. You never know Pull Him Down desperados. They will still claim the contract cost could have tarred road from Calabar to Tripoli in Libya, that it was inflated. Even without evidence. ![]() |
PAINGAIN:. No be lie o. Between 2006 & 2009, each time I travelled that road, it took us up to 13 hours from Lasgidi to Benin. In 2009, we even had to risk a bush path just to avoid that very bad section. Unlucky ones got kidnapped using that bush path. That alone made visiting 9ja a veritable nightmare. |
Bugatie:. For where? And the 27 year-olds of today want to vote in a 73 year old man. The youth selling their future on the alter of propaganda & sentiments. |
blackjack21:. Nor let Oga Titus hear o. Babes forming big girls since 19..gbigidi. ![]() |
Lesgupnigeria:. Very good initiative. Suppose your a farmer and live very far from Ogbomosho. You don't intend to process your produce in the co-operative factory, can you still join in? And how do you benefit from it? |
That same Asia wey dem dey fake cloned sheep abi na dog? 4get matter. Nor be only frozen beauty, na sun-dried beauty. Na ice fish/mackerel? ![]() |
tolexy007:. But in 9ja, sincerity has no place in politics. It's about vested personal, parochial, tribal & sectarian interests. |
hatux:. Pinocchio. ![]() |
Nigeria cannot have less than 50 million people with varying degrees & various types of mental conditions. Assuming we're 200 million strong. Mental illness is not only people stark naked in the street. They include: Psychopaths, sociopaths, depression patients, OCD, schizophrenia and other schizoid pictures, alcohol/substance abuse, anxiety disorders, anorexia, bulimia, PTSD, PND etc. So your neighbour who is always fighting her husband & other neighbours may need psychological medical attention but may never get one. Social deprivation/poverty, crime: rape, armed robbery victims, brutality, bereavement, drug abuse, marital discord and so on, all contribute to mental health issues. |
Ipledge:. Consent is only possible if you have attained the age which the law deems is possible for a person to give consent. It varies from country to country. 15, 16 in some countries, 18 in some, etc. Below that age, consent is not possible. It is still a crime even if you have a video evidence of the child asking for it and visibly enjoying the act. You also cannot claim you thought the child was old enough because ignorance gives no protection before the law. I'm not a lawyer, but we encounter this in clinical practice and it's even a crime if we find out about it & we don't report to the police. |
Ipledge:. That's not what the law says. There's a clear age when a person can consent to sex. You don't guess or read mind about it. That's how it is in every country. So your observation & experience are completely irrelevant before the law. Legal experts & child psychologists know better. When I was in year 1 in secondary school, like 11 to 12 years old. I had a crush on some female teachers. But it would be illegal and they would go to jail if they then go ahead & have sex with me. But the OP failed to indicate age of the victim. |
Ipledge:. I beg your pardon? Blame the girl too? Geesos! A child has no ability to consent to sex. A child can be groomed, manipulated, threatened and lured with sweets. Hence it is statutory rape. That is automatic rape before the law. REASONS: There's easy too access to porn now, including illegal child porn via mobile internet. |
ejikeme:. It's a hangover from our shoot, shoot, kill, kill military regimes. It takes times to democratise institutions. People can go right ahead and vote. He might even put death penalty on rice smuggling. Retroactively even. He can easily force it through our corrupt NASS. It could be anybody's relative then. Hope nobody will come here and complain then. |
Bobbysworld28:. You're joking, right? So you have monopoly over knowledge and truth. You must be superhuman! ![]() The economic recession lasted over 5 years. Who was in power when Lamido Sanusi brought on questionable policies? So in your limited knowledge & narrow view, the recession did not affect Nigeria? If you had lost millions in Nigerian stock market, you'd know better. Typical 9ja mentality, if you're not personally affected, all is well. Everybody with a few mb to throw insult online is now an economic expert. Smh. |
Optometry is good. Many universities don't offer it so there's no saturation. It's a professional course and you can practice on your own. |
Considering the huge increase in number of graduates now and the fact OBJ took over from a military regime, the need to hire staff was higher then. Then came the world economic crisis just as OBJ left power. Then came the banking sector crisis in Nigeria with thousands sacked. The room to create jobs has been far less in GEJ's time. The sectors creating jobs like Agric is not popular with many graduates. GEJ has not done bad at all. |
dotna:. Different but Psychiatry is being increasingly called "Psychological Medicine". Much like Morbid Anatomy is now called Pathology. Just to reduce the stigma. Psychology has more focus on social aspects like childhood, growth, development, attachment, behaviour and others. But the specialist area of Clinical Psychology compliments Psychiatry very well. In fact, Psychological techniques are now very much part of Psychiatry: like CBT, desensitisation, etc. In fact during Psychiatry phase back in the day in University, I wished I knew more about psychology. |
When you say standard, what standard? By Nigerian Standard or comparable to world class Hospitals like Guy's & St Thomas' Hospital London, Klinikum Grosshadern in Munich, Hopitaux Universitaire Pitie Salpetriere in Paris, John Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, USA, MCGill University Health Centre, Montreal, Canada? |
sharonbolly:. Cool. |
That Charlie own don be! ![]() |
Fact is where there are no real ladies, real men will never be available. |
Just like in politics, young ones are not groomed for responsibility, so old people keep doing the jobs. |
CHM11:. Wrong regarding Igbo don't marry outside. My cousin is married to an Igbo man. We have several Igbo ladies married to extended family members, some since 50 years ago. They have been excellent wives & mothers, and genuinely part of our family. We couldn't have wished for better wives. It's good to keep an open mind. The one truly meant for you would be different from all your negative experiences. |
yinkus4u2c:. True. Some people can smoke 40 cigarettes a day, eat mostly oily food, no exercise, hardly eat fruits, never do any medical/dental check up and live till over 90 years old. But how many per 100 people manage that? Such is called "outlier". Occurs but not the norm. |
AdeniyiA:. @OP, let's see the dented side for transparency. Very important. & pics of engine too. |
kay1one2:. My brother, village or town, even, chicken sef nor deserve to live in this kind of place. ![]() |
cityhood:, OP, please answer questions above. |
Please give you quotation per bag, 50 bags, 100 bagas etc & cost of transport to the South. |
Dude, it's easy for people to say go ahead and marry her. But it's not that simple. From close observation of people in my environment, I found that: (1) If the stepdad makes it in life, he gains respect from his stepkids. Even if he didn't really care for them much. (2) If stepdad is just managing, even if he uses his meagre income to look after stepkids, he gets no thanks. (3) If the woman can make the kids see their stepdad as proper dad, there's normally peace. But most women cannot do so if the husband/stepdad is poor. The woman being good is not enough in most cases. I know several cases. One trader used his money to look after his 4 stepkids. Sure things were tough but the man was good. 25 years on, the wife is dead. One of the stepkids came from abroad, he drives past the house of the now elderly & sick stepdad. He doesn't even stop to say hello. But he grew up in that house. The man did nothing bad to them, just that as kids, things were not rosy, they felt they suffered growing up. But so did the poor stepdad. Several other cases. The kids a man brought up don't every greet their stepdad. Many stepkids suffer psychologically that absence of biological dad. They always feel biological dad would have done better. Even if their biological dad was a lazy loafer. The cases where the kids even now bear their stepdad's name & all is well, the men are all well-to-do. In our African culture, blood is what matters. The next most important thing is money. I'd rather adopt a child just to help that child than marry a lady with kids already. Women should use and insist on contraception & not bear kids anyhow, otherwise it can be tough out there. |
So nothing a decent person can do again without church or religious approval. Our underdevelopment is really in our minds. Not just politics or poor infrastructure. All begin in our enslaved minds. |
