Health / Re: Help! My Younger Brother Is Going Mad by aribs(m): 3:27pm On May 08, 2021
CandyOps:
It's like you want your brothers to go COMPLETELY MAD abi??

You already have proof that medications work to an extent on your younger brother abi? Which other solution do you seek alert from what works already??!

The moment you carry that man into a spiritual home is the moment his madness will go into gear 4.

And deep down inside you, you already know the source of the problem. IT IS HEREDITARY! A.K.A in your blood.

Hello!! You mean to say you went through school and the words 'genetics' never sunk into your head?!

....

You see religion and superstition is really killing African growth. How can a fully grown university educated man seek health solutions from any other place outside a health facility??

And before u start quoting me, just know I also have a cousin who is mentally unstable and suffers from schizophrenia too.

My neighbor had a burst vein in his head from High BP complications and his illiterate mom rushed him to a spiritual home where he went into coma during their spiritual razzmatazz.

Before her head correct it's too late. Nigga was DOA by the time they got to the hospital.

In fact, I believe any religious home that takes on the role of a healthcare provider should be sued and probably even shut down.

...

Here is how the scientific process works:

- You encounter a problem.
- You make guesses/assumptions to what the solution could be & ask questions to the cause of the prob.
- You make guesses using the answers you got. Called a hypothesis. This guess should be something testable. Meaning anyone can replicate the tests.
- Make a prediction from the answers you get
- Now you run some tests on that hypothesis (usually trial and errors while noting what works)
- You come up with more hypothesis
- You know what works to an extent (in your case, drugs) which leads you to making a clearer prediction.

- you test again till you come up with a theory of how to go about such issues in future...

....

Now, over the thousands of years mankind and modern humans have literally done almost all these testing for us and we only have to improve on it. But NO! Not an African man.

An African man will encounter a problem and instead of following the scientific step, he will immediately say to himself, "I need to talk to God about this" or worse, "it looks spiritual. I can't do anything about it if God doesn't do anything about it"

... And just in that moment, all the creative ideas and potential discoveries that could have been made will be cut short!

.....

You see, when we cry over the dangers of superstition in Africa and how it is underdeveloping us Christians and other religious folks will rather put the devil on you by calling Atheist or Apethists (people who don't care about deities) devil worshipers than see reasons with us.

I mean, just imagine what an adult who passed through the 4 walls of a classroom is saying. It's deeper than just getting school knowledge and I don't blame anyone because it is a result of hundreds of years of torture and slavery by the white people who brought on this scam called religion to us

(Don't mistake religion for spirituality or spiritism)

Africans pls plssss stop bowing to the ducking skies and learn to use your heads

The damaging effects of religion is not just found in our healthcare system. It's everywhere. Most especially in our minds. Slavery ducked us up real good. But then we keep ducking ourselves everyday by choosing to remain in the slavery

It's like what Kanye West said in an interview on TMZ that went viral. "400 years of slavery seemed like a choice"

Sorry I'm coming off as harsh but pls I beg you in the name of anything you believe in, DO NOT STEP ONE FOOT into ANY religious home. Well, except you want to dump your bro there for the worse.

And the funny thing is this:

When you let a super-religious person in on the TRUTH about their bullshit they'll always go through these stages:

1. Denial or Ridicule (they deny it or Ridicule it/you)

2. Rejection [they reject it entirely and will become violent towards the source of the information (you) ]

3. Acceptance (they finally begin to see reason)

Which explains why I don't like having a religious convo with anyone. I just listen and nod or zone you off.

And the reason is because I hate being the bearer of bad news. And I hate being at the receiving end of the 3 stages of accepting the truth I listed above.

It's also one of the reasons why the bearer of bad news in the olden days were usually put to death by the King.

Anyone who loses a loved one also passes through those 3 stages before accepting the truth.

First, you ridicule the info.
Then you react violent to oppose it.
Later, acceptance dwells in.

It also explains why most superstitious folks HATE atheist (or rather dispise the people/persons who first told them God don't exist)

And another reason is because it goes against everything you've ever known from birth. In other words, the person is saying you're stewpid.

And no one likes being stewpid

How can I like this twice? Dear OP, there is your undiluted TRUTH right there. Mental illness is just like any other condition and in a lot of cases , TREATABLE. You won’t treat malaria by faith would you? Let’s be guided

Vaughanlanrewaj:

Please stop this seeming inferiority complex sir. The letter is far more professional and succint than any other central bank will write. The Bank of England you alluded to is notorious and known for supervising and regulating UK banks where stolen funds from all over the world are kept. Such a corrupt central bank supervising such funds, unlike CBN, will think twice before writing a letter that exposes them as culprit .

I am very proud of CBN. The objective of the letter is clear, it conveys authority and the urgency of the issue at hand. It is not meant to be a love letter from one keeping stolen money to the thief sir.

Finally a governor with “balls” to address the obvious ineptitude in the civil service. How can one state have 100k civil servants , pensions and entitlements to boot? The fact is most states only exist to pay civil service salaries and then there is little left. I hope other governors and the federal government will take a leaf from this and reform the civil service once and for all. The Oronsaye report will be a good start

sweetmelanin:
Over the 60 year period of Nigeria's "independence", a handful of approx 8000 - 10000 ministers, senators, governors, presidents etc..(most of which are recycled into the position of power over and over again), have destroyed a highly promising nation, stolen our wealth and subjected 200+million citizens to poverty, frustration and lack.

These same individuals have then used stolen wealth to purchase citizenship of other nations for themselves and their families, thus leaving the masses to wallow in a state of hopelessness.

Hmmm.

P.S. This is why I warn people to stop listening to Phrankleen on Youtube... selling false hope that Nigeria is better than abroad. Our dear country is done for with no recovery in sight

Phrankleen says that ? Never heard him say this or maybe I am missing an episode where he said this . I know he has acknowledged systemic racism which can exist in the West but to directly say Nigeria is better is something I have not heard him say but again I may be missing something

.Let me make something clear to some ret@rds and imbeciles on this site, you can curse all you like, curse me and swear but not a single curse will ever mean a thing to me, you have spent your entire life cursing the government and Nepa but not a single curse came to pass but instead these people keep enjoying Nigeria’s money and scamming you.

I will never support your end SARS or end bad government approach because it is a foolish way of chasing victory, I have neither supported this government because from the start I warned against buhari and many of you today protesting end bad government once voted for this cow lover and may God continue to punish you for putting us in this situation and coming out today to play the victims.

You can tell all the white men about Nigeria but it will never make Nigeria better except the citizens take the courage to move and fortunately very few are ready and the rest of you are hypocrites. I remember sending a formal letter detailing a winning plan and tactics of winning the next election, I sent this letter to celebrities who I noticed were strong hold of the protest but not a single one replied…

Many of you are online warriors, many of you will not move to fight if others don’t move, many of you will not act until your celebrities tell you to, you are your own problem and you know it but keep denying it.
If you continue holding on to lekki toll gate shooting and telling the world something they already know the Nigerian government will continue to fight you because they are also as angry as you are.

Even if you didn’t agree with them in this you agree with them in big brother show because they put that show to keep you all in a zone but you can’t see it, they know that all the youths know how to do is gossip, fvck and play, so they put all three in one house and allow you watch and enjoy your madness, when the house mates come out the governors start bombing them with endorsement deals and official government offices and appointments, what did they do in that house to deserve such? Millions of Nigerian youths have worked their ass out, studied and sweat blood just to have those positions but no they didn’t get it, only for people who sent 3 months in a house kissing and grabbing ads to come out and have those positions before the eyes of every poor Nigerian. You spend millions voting for housemates to win big brother but you can’t sacrifice little time to go out and vote for the right person and those of you that went to vote voted for problem… now you are complaining why some of us do not support you, may God punish all of you in mysterious ways.

And finally A lot is currently going on in Nigeria, a lot that dwarfs the lekki shooting so if you can make a plan to win the next election then do so but if you cannot then shut the Bleep up and enjoy the president you voted for…
Sense here

This government is starting to sound really foolish the way they have been unable to get their story straight between the army , the Lagos state government and the federal government. The devil u know...
I am actually not a Muslim. Nice try. What did happen? Be specific here. I can tell you what did happen. Trump got Sudan , Bahrain etc to negotiate and recognize Israel. You would think that was brilliant til you realize it was actually fluff since these countries could not even pose any military danger to Israel and they were not the biggest worries of the Israelis. Iran remains and has remained their biggest worry and that did not change. What did not happen? The biggest deal in history ( peace in Palestine ) never happened even though the blabbermouth promised this. Other than these limp deals , can you show me how having trump ostracize allies in Europe kept America safer? Or how he ridiculed the intelligence community actually gave everyone comfort ? Quit this,Trump is never antisemitic if you really know the meaning of that word. He moved embassy of US to Jerusalem, brokered peace deals with some of their Arab neighbours including Sudan in Africa .
There was nowhere I mentioned Trump was anti Semitic. I mentioned his supporters were. That is clear and you can research those groups as I have done and we can debate the meaning of anti Semitism. I am very familiar with the different types of Jewish groups on the east coast and you can explain then to me why those who voted overwhelmingly voted Democratic despite these “wonderful” things he did or that is the media again?

[quote author=Starzo post=96069911]
and u do realize that the Dems also riled up the hate narrative to steer up their base right?
The libs used the media to make Trump the monster. All riots and crimes against blacks were mainly in cities controlled by the dems. They used naive blacks to steer up the race blame card.
The truth is there for those who seek it.
We must all rise above sentiments before we can actually see what's going on. Both Dems and reps are same breed. They use the divide and conquer tactics. It's just that it escalated during Trump's presidency cuz nobody saw him to be fit as president in the first instance. [/quote}
There is a modicum of truth in your assertions here as all parties have agendas and I do realize that BUT once elections are done , the president rallies the COUNTRY. You my be right in Dems having their own agendas but that does not excuse the deplorable behavior of this disgusting “Christian” savior. Tell me , did the media manage his tweets? Did they advise him on his racist policies ?the Muslim ban? Did they tell me to overtly promote and stoke violence against others ? The comment about Red and blue states ? I could go on and on and I haven’t even said anything about legal immigrants and asylum seekers yet. The nation has had a referendum on his performance and has deemed it a failure hence he lost. Trying to burn the whole place and instigate chaos before leaving only shows those who voted him out were right in the first place

I wonder what the “ righteous” Nigerian Christians will say to a candidate who has such such a large following of anti-Semitic people since they consider Israel the “chosen” people. Purveyors or hate cloaked in religious dogma. The very type Jesus warned about in the Bible they fail to read to understand.

The same ones who supported the KKK and vehemently resisted the desegregation of America. The same ones who believe it is their God given rights to own machine guns.

Till today, they hardly vote for the Presidency the same Democratic party that was once their own pride, for daring to pass racial equality laws by the Kennedy/Johnson administration that was a Democratic party government.
