Efe, lunch at work can be expensive.
I have a coworker whose meals at work are fancy eats. For me, I just take a salad bowl and an avocado to work. Some days I go with my own cooked meals. I have 30 minutes for lunch so that's a good excuse not to go with them grin to get lunch outside.
My breakfast is an avocado...quite filling for Breakfast. Mid morning snacking is one organic brown egg and some nuts...I thank God for not adding any blobs this year cheesy
***Teamworkingout***

EfemenaXY:
Haha! Yes na - I need to source some ideas from you.
I was thinking, I could put that £50 - £60 I save weekly on buying lunch, etc from work into a Cash ISA every week. That's been my honest intention but then I found myself shopping at Boots embarassed embarassed Which isn't such a bad thing oh! As they had this deal going on last week or so at the Canary Branch - Spend £50 or more and get £10 worth of Advantage points on your Boots Card. I managed to get up to £52 worth of points and guess what? I found that bike my daughter's been asking for since the beginning of this year. £35. Now that's come in quite handy for me. Don't ask me what I'll be getting the others - it's a completely different story! cool cool

Not even cooking all the world ofe onugbu (bitter leaf soup) would bring him back. If you force him to come back, you'll have yourself to blame. Let him go.
Don't start joining and taking up a role in his church just to win him back. Your own african brother is on the way. Ofe ose hot sistah, we ri nwayo.
Family › Re: Advice Needed: His Wife Will Not Allow Him Rest. by armyofone(m): 11:52pm On Dec 26, 2015
Your wife should be the one doing the hiring not you. She knows what is best as far as getting help. You should hands off the hiring process. You can't just bring in someone else into your home without her having a say. What happened to you getting involved in running your own home while your holds down a job ?

She should work hard to get his green card revoked, sue for polygamy etc. Get a good lawyer who is good at making up lawsuit names....make sure life is unsuitable for him in the UK.
Work and forge ahead.
No long thing.

@Sagamite

Ummmm well alright. But hope you won't expect her to wear lingerie or something sexy to bed. With all you wrote, your marriage to AA or white lady won't last long. You will end up paying the alimony you so loathe grin.
Family › Re: My Wife Wants To Buy The Following For The Baby by armyofone(m):
Thank you for doing justice grin by breaking it down. I agree he should make sure he goes on birth control.
The part that got me was i can't part with 100 kissk this Christmas like Christmas is more important than getting things his own baby would need. At least madam wasn't asking or specified a certain amount. Instead she gave him list of things. Just give what you have and discuss about the next items for the baby. Babies are expensive not a child's play. He wanted posters to accuse his wife. Wifey that he should be supporting 1000%
OP, i hope you have given your wallet and Atm cards to her with no questions asked grin

EfemenaXY:
Not agitated man.
Just telling it like it is.
Family › Re: My Wife Wants To Buy The Following For The Baby by armyofone(m): 11:00am On Dec 19, 2015
For your own baby you are talking like this ? shocked
You can always ask for the most important things that are needed first and mark the rest as next on the list. With that your "I can part with 50 k this Dec and not 100 k " attitude are you sure you are ready? You better be for your child/children.

NORAD:
Thanks for your suggestion. I can part with 50k THIS DECEMBER but not 100k.
By the way, the baby is due in March, (plus or minus two weeks). I hope we can still go about this in piecemeal fashion.

Family › Re: The Family Section Fun Room!! by armyofone(m): 3:08am On Dec 12, 2015
No don't, let kids have fun as long as they like thinking about imaginary man and Rudolph. That's the most exciting thing left for them in December with its bitter cold and sunless month. I'm just dreaming of Santa land in Texas. Imagine driving through 3 million lights grin can't wait to visit.
damiso:
grin grin grin grin grin to be honest though I was sincerely looking forward to getting rid of the whole Santa charade smiley but I was hoping for another 2/3 years so by then her brother would have been a bit older and we just get it over and done with once and for all grin
Meanwhile her brother thinks Santa is Bill Gates with the ever increasing list of train toys/track sets grin

If the marriage is childless, then everyone should go away with what they came in with. Things accumulated during the marriage including debt should be shared. If she is disabled in the course of the marriage, then she should get half his money for life.
If there are children, ofc most if not everything goes to the woman grin

grin Especially Patience. Her omugwo drama is something else. I personally don't see the needs for omugwo if you have a caring, loving husband and a weekend paid helper.
cococandy:
cheesy those nollywood people.

Spoiling reality for us.
Family › Re: Child Visiting(omugwo):why My Mother-in-law Refuses To Come by armyofone(m):
Lol, mama watched a bit too much of nollywood. Who wouldn't be motivated to drink minutes maid and eat Mr. Biggs after watching Patience Ozukwo enjoying peri peri grin
Anyway Op, DIY. You should help your wife, take turns to sleep at night and caring for the baby. Caring for a baby should not be a job for madam alone. But both of you can do it.

cococandy:
Does she even have your best interests at heart? undecided

Snoop is a cool guy. I thought I read they separated/divorced at some point and came back together again.

His dance steps are grin awesome. I just love his dancing.
You are right but who wouldn't try so hard given his personal experience.
Timbuktou:
I think Snoop tries too had some times. Saw it just once anyway. But I'm glad he's very involved in his son's life. Better that than no interest at all.

Family › Re: Will You Let Your Wife You Intend To Marry To Be A Full Time House Wife? by armyofone(m): 8:52pm On Dec 03, 2015
grin if you marry at 30, and waited for your kids to be 10 before working, then you are on your own. Look for jobs with flexibility and juggle both tasks.

Ginaz:
I'm seriously thinking about my future as a wife and mother (no ring yet) tongue I would like to be a full time house wife till when my kids are up to 10years then I can do something.

Just last week, I and my friend are talking about housewife stuff and she outrightly insulted me saying I'm a foolish girl for thinking about it. embarassed
My aunt's a full time house wife, she joins her husband occasionally to assist him in his business and her home is the best ever. Children are well taken care of emotionally and everything. My boyfriend's mother was a full time house wife till the children turned 15 before she stared working, her children turned out responsible and focus.

Now, I've seen the examples and I wanna take this step, what do you think guys? Is it advisable to be a housewife or would you allow your wife to be a full time housewife? Ladies will you consider it? If yea or no, give reasons sad . Sorry my post its lengthy lipsrsealed

Modified.....Look for your own fun such as join a gym and women's clubs. No kids yet so spread your wings.
You have to try and be a small social butterfly for your own sanity. If you go to church, connect with someone who could pick you up sometime.
