dapojaja:
The poster can still bring children into the N30,000/Month game. They'll use nappies instead of pampers, plenty of watery pap instead of baby food, and as early said by some pple, they'll live one room face me I slap u, so the kids could grow very strong on time, plenty of local herbs (agbo olomo).

Advantages:
Kids will grow to start walking and talking quickly
U can take advantage of Face me Face u of borrowing anything from matches, to salt, pepper, kerosine, wife & children will watch movies for another neighbor's room, etc

Disadvantages:
If somebody slap u, u can quickly return your own slap without much effort
your wife can get bleeped by a better neighbor when u've gone to work
If u r cooking by your door step, within a split second u r out of view, your pot could get missing,
plenty things u've already experienced while growing up.

Cheers!
oh, laughing to hard. well, the best is what i wish the OP . . . the kind of life above is lipsrsealed lipsrsealed borrow everything to cook family meals? undecided

cheers.

femi, please tell her. survival for the child of 5 to go hawk, ummmm smh. pple should not get married or bear children if they don't have the means to support them. see one asking if 30,000 naira is enough to get married. imagine!!!
tmr they will send their kids to go hawk while they give birth to more, and Kandi is here saying the kid should hawk for their parents? life!!

my sistah kandi, pple should not marry or if married, not have kids until they are sure they can take care of them, common we are in 2011 there should be a change in pple mindset with changing time.

kandiikane:
@armyofone

Ok. .And what if  their parents cannot afford schooling and their only means of survival or to pay for school fees is for everyone of them to go do this type of trading. .Are you going to pay their school fees if they stop? Buy them food everyday? In fact, do you give money out in aids for these children to play with toys and watch cartoons or go to school? When you see those adverts on TV about donating for children, do you donate?
yes, i do give back and happy doing that. now stop drawing us backward cuz it's not the point of the topic here. just cuz you hawk ''ice'' years ago (i commend you for that) does not mean children age 5 should be hawking moin moin.

my second paragraph is just something i want done for traders not because i want them to use their kids.
kids should be in school learning and playing with other kids. i hope you understand me now.
Family › Re: Picture Of Young Children Hawking Moin-Moin: Child Abuse? by armyofone(m): 3:29pm On Aug 31, 2011
i knowwwwwwwwww, they should be talking abt micky mouse and playing with kiddie art and toys. . . instead they just carry heavy tray of huge moin moin on their head thinking of how to cross the road without being hit. what a life!!!

isn't it abt time they ban street trade and build stores and plazas for pple to trade? ever so a backword!!!
Family › Re: Picture Of Young Children Hawking Moin-Moin: Child Abuse? by armyofone(m): 3:21pm On Aug 31, 2011
outstrip, not to talk of how many molester go shook hand for the children yansh.

Outstrip:
Their parents should be locked it cages like animals. In that country were ritual killings in style. What easy access for all kinds of evil people. Those children have probably seen more trauma than a 30 year old in other countries. Useless parents. Why is her father not hawking the moinmoin.
Family › Re: Picture Of Young Children Hawking Moin-Moin: Child Abuse? by armyofone(m): 3:19pm On Aug 31, 2011
definitely child abuse! we can't compare those 3 kids to average kid stars. an average kid star in US has lots of money, accountants, bank accounts, charity organizations, their own made room to sleep in, elegant clothes, etc. those children are doing adult work. they are abused by those buying from them and their parents if they dont sell much etc
it's about time parents stop making their kids hawker.

most yam here could choke you up, i mean way too hard, some are real bad and you wouldn't know until you start peeling it. i just don't like buying yam here.
now that i know travelers could travel with yam, i look forward to buying better Tiv yam. not their kind of unsweetened and tasteless brown wood they call yam here. i sometimes think the yam here is from outer space undecided
Family › Re: Many Children And Stay Home To Raise Them? by armyofone(m): 11:09pm On Aug 30, 2011
dayo, same ol' same ol' gotta give it to him.
Ronke, none at all eh, wetin girl go do if not to roll eyes. you know nigeria women are very hard working. stay at home and raise kids is a full time job, that's my take.
dayo is taking 2 or 3 jobs while wifey stay home with the kids.

Kai, this one na waya, you beat average traveler grin see as she do division of labor for all the travelers involved grin grin grin.

naijababe:
grin grin grin. I admit that I'm spoilt o, I make about 3 trips a year. I have a family of four and 3 of us can carry 2 suitcases each and my lil' boy gets 1 piece. That is 7 pieces altogether.
My hubby carries garri, he only eats Ijebu garri. I carry beans - 15kg split between my two cases.
My snails and eja osan (correct dried fish) and correct dry crayfish go in one of my daughter's pieces and our clothes go in the last two cases. Shikena!!!
i.e. one basket of snails and I mean big, gianomous snails sets me back 12-15k naira ( about 22 pieces) and I have bought two measly snails for £5 here once. Abeg make UK border do whatever, I no send dem jare.

Claremont lives in toon town, yam na luxury for dia  grin
What are you saying? Which Yoruba culture? huh

In my Culture (Yoruba), you wear same outfit. . . .starts from intorduction, to engagement to wedding.

Unless introduction means, taking boy to parent vice versa, then it's not compulsory. But if Introduction means, family members dey dia, then it's a must. (No really a must, but expected).
exactly and they sell horrible stuff. i mean dirty old egusi and crayfish, sawdust like ogbono. dirty looking fish. overly smooth garri, palm oil that leaves sticky after taste in your mouth, sigh undecided
anyway, carry as much as you can.

claremont:
All those people saying there are African stores everywhere; we all know that the cost of African foodstuffs in these African stores is prohibitive as compared to the cost of these same items in Nigeria. If it were possible to bring a live goat from Nigeria, Nigerians would surely have done it. How an African shop would charge £10 for a tiny tuber of yam the size of my palm is beyond me! shocked shocked
Travel › Re: Traveling With Nigeria Food Stuffs by armyofone(m): 5:13pm On Aug 29, 2011
grin grin grin
too expensive, and they aren't clean/fresh you know.

coogar:
i can never understand the reason nigerians pack these foods on their travel.
jeeez, leave em food in nigeria - there are african markets where you are going.
pack egusi, pack palm oil, pack garri. why not carry a live goat and a live cow along to complete the armoury.

oh buhahahahahaha, tongue missile huh`

harakiri:
@deal_ordea, The answer to your questions is in your post. Women will readily conform to rules and regulations at the work place coz they know the stiff penalties that await them if they break the rules e.g being queried, demoted or outrightly sacked! A woman will respect (and even worship) a boss who pays her peanuts for a salary and yet,he treats her as a househelp and talks harshly to her at the slightest irritation. . . That same woman would go home, transfer all the animosity to her loving husband who gives her THRICE what she earns for monthly upkeep, she will nag him to death, disrespect him in front of family and friends, hit him and even cheat on him (with her boss of all people!)  What am I trying to say? As much as you're keeping healthy relationships with the ladies, you must have set rules and stiff penalties if she decides to test you by intentionally breaking them. [b]As much as you love her to death this moment, you must be ready to get rid of her the next minute (it's best she knows this and thus, she remains on her toes). It might sound harsh but if you want a solution to the problem, that's the blue print right there (unless you can live with "accepting them as they are"wink. Nuff said!
oh you all malenazis are way too funny, buhahahahhahaha
