Its a shame that Ebonyi is the only less known Southern State.

Nassarawa

Ebonyi

Taraba

Jigawa

Yobe.

If not for Yerima's sharia and Atiku, Zamfara alongside Adamawa would have been there.
nna de abagoro do you have any idea to the question i asked here which is the last comment

Honestly policemen in the east are a different case (no offence intended) my brother's wife is from Abia state and everytime we visited our in laws we usually take a police escort along! Even at that on several occasions they have challenged our police escort accusing him of being a fake police officer! They are very desperate probably the most desperate people I've ever seen in my life.
you are not offending anyone here because 70% of the police men in the east are not from the east.

If you are Hausa Fulani living in Delta State, it will do you a lot of good if you start packing your load now and relocate to your home state because the level of anger against you people is very high now and any little spark will lead to massacre of Hausas in Delta.
A deltan killed in the UN building by Boko Haram was brought in recently and the people are still very angry in spite of all effort by the state and federal government to supress the matter.
Even if the British, America and others decide to support Hausa against us, they will not be able to win the battle that is coming. The people have made up their mind about Nigeria there is nothing any body can do to stop it.

Holak:
We are still lagging far behind in this country. Let us assume that the CCTV will even deter crime, why should somebody turn it to publicity campaign. WHat innovation is therein. CCTVs are found in most organizations today. So, what has a state governor done by purchasing and installing some gadgets (with contract inflation) and the rest? Our yardstick for measuring government is so low that any dumb can be a governor and still be adjudged a performer. Just build one or two roads, install some gadgets here and there and you are a hero. They will thank you for not eating the money. The point is that we are still very far. Chime understands the psyche and knows how to get at the public to start dancing around while business goes on. Enugu metropolis is not the only place in Enugu State. What has Chime done in places like Nsukka? Paid apologists on NL should just pipe low please. It is not yet Uhuru in Nigeria especially the States.

Yes I'm talking to people in Anambra (Onitsha and Nnewi specifically).
Peter Obi is also dealing with the erosion menace.
An irresponsible governor would be polishing Awka the capital alone. Obi is handling every part of the state.
Folks in Nnewi are most critical of him because they believe he is punishing them for voting for Ngige. I don't believe that one bit. I am a trained professional in development and I know that sometimes, you have to stick to a program of action to succeed. I think that Obi will get to those parts by next year. Anambra is not producing oil or gas yet.
But we will soon. Most importantly, he is not accumulating debts. If he succeeds in only attracting huge private investors and keeping the state debt free, he would have achieved a lot, and the next governor will have an easier job.
this brings me the issue of enugu.is there any other developement going on in nsukka, awgu, igboeze and other places in the state apart from enugu city?

@asha 80
About the structural plan.
I think that the new structural plan (including the Anam new city) will play a critical role going forward. Sometimes I understand what Peter Obi is trying to do. He is juggling a few priorities being that Anambra is developing a new Capital and other two major towns, while at the same time trying to open up the rural areas with roads. Everyone I've spoken to confirms the same thing.
Anambra is one of those states that will explode overnight one of these days because things are being put in place gradually but steadily. That is why I counted it among the progressive Eastern states. I am one of the harshest critics of Peter Obi, but that does not mean that I cannot see what he is doing.
are you talking about people based in anambra?

another issue anambra faces sadly it this issue of erosion?just finishe watching an erosion seige in ideani in idemili council on a road that connects ideani with ojoto, nkpor and onitsha, although i saw obi theretelling his commisioner of works to start worrk there to save the road from being cut into two

@Roadstar,

Obviously only a fool will not know that Anambra state leads Eastern Nigeria in many development spheres. If you believe otherwise, more power to you.
I don't live in Awka, so you will not get those pictures from me. The state is steadily making investments that will pay huge dividends soon: LG electronics factory, SAB, Onitsha port, Innoson and Capital Oil, Anam New City, Agriculture at Anaku and Omor, Orient Oil and Gas, to mention but a few. If Anambra is allowed to develop their gas economy, it will dwarf any in Nigeria. With the best human resources in Nigeria, Anambra is unrivaled. Peter Obi may not be building monorails, but he is not raking up huge debts either. He understands that only oil producing states can afford to borrow like that.

So bite me!  cool
i think anambra needs to start implementing the new structural plans for awka, nnewi and onitsha.i blame jim nwobodo for not seeing the need to do that for onitsha at least when he was in power.

does capital oil have any huge investment in anambra?

also what is the state of the lg partnership with anambra?

The link you posted was a propaganda statement made by a commissioner in delta state on political, the commission even went ahead to say that Onitsha businessmen will be using Warri Port. I ask you again does it any economic and social sense that a businessman in Onitsha will leave a nearby Onitsha Port and travel the rigors of bad roads to warri to get his imported stuffs or export with all the roads full of militants. Onitsha big shots lives in GRA, Omagba phase 1 & 2, Nkisi & Trans-Nkisi Lay-outs, American qtrs all in Onitsha. So I don't know where your getting your trash
man you have attitude issues.

by the way how what i asked here?
is there any pictures of this place and the construction going on?

Your lies are from the pit hell. Anambra airport is an International Cargo and Passenger airport as licenced by the FG, while that of asaba- delta is a much more a local airport. As an estate surveyor/valuer by profession, Anambra people are presently investing in Awka the state capital and New Anamcity (http://anamcity.com/) not heavily water-logged asaba. I have been to asaba the place is hugely messed up with flooded pot-hole roads due to the terrain.
is there any pictures of this place and the construction going on?

guy i think there is some truth in onitsha traders buying lands in asaba
Most of these big time traders in Onitsha live in Asaba and most of the houses here in the new Asaba city, even around my residence, 30 per cent of them are owned by Onitsha businessmen.

Abagworo:
I read this and found it laughable that citizens in Abia are not aware that they can revolt and get Orji removed. The writer of the article is in Aba and you can feel how frustrated he is.

http://www.sunnewsonline.com/webpages/features/freekick/2011/oct/05/freekick-05-10-2011-002.html

It is with deep sorrow in my heart that I write concerning the deplorable condition of state and federal roads in Abia state especial ly in the vast metropolis of Aba.
Some of the streets and major roads such as old express road, obohia road, ohanku road, to mention but a few are now inaccessible and replaced with street ponds, waste parks and breeding  grounds for mosquitoes.

The situation is aggravated when there is rainfall or whirlwind that also puts the residents into a very tight and dangerous corner. It is not an overstatement if I say that we have been removed from the development gazette of the state and Nigeria as a whole.
It is necessity to point out here that right from the foundation of Aba the town has maintained this incontestable title of the JAPAN OF AFRICA.

It is time the federal government come to our rescue since the government of the state seem to have sworn to leave Aba and its environs desolate even as the state chief executive cannot find a place in his heart to forgive the city for splashing some sachets of pure water on him during the recent campaigns even though the residents of the city have rendered an unreserved apologia to the governor on many occasions. We therefore plead to the government to please come to our help.
And lastly, the people of Aba will like to use this opportunity to also let our dear president know that we all are solidly behind him and that he has always stood as a mentor to the people of Aba.

i am not sure they can.even if they revolt will it make orji to step down?they had an opportunity to do that in the last election but they blew it by not taking it seriously.
