Can you believe that the pix below is remains of someone who had limbs like you and I? After burning the person to death, they came and were cutting large chunks for home use and the one dey ate in the spur of the moment.

How do you expect the hausas to forgive these people. Its sickening. I haven't been able to eat meat since this crisis.

May God help us

agbotaen:
many things happen in history and it depends on who is writing the history , there is a version of history from benin tradition and there are the ones told by agbor historians , lets take a look, if you read agbor history and tradition written by agbor elders and historica group, you will find the story there , but if you look at benin history or books written by other benin scholars you will also find out that agbor and benin fought a war around the period of late 16th - early 17th century and benin was said to have won over agbor ,but it was said to be one of the toughest rebellion that benin ever had around that time.
even of recent when the oba was celebrating his 30th year of coronation , he also highlighted the war between benin and agbor in which he said benin defeated agbor ,after a long battle , it is important to note that east of benin kingdom, agbor was the most powerful and elegant kingdom with a territory extending to many towns in todays edo and delta state.
nyandel said in 1702 , many families from benin where migrating into agbor and obior. he also left many notes presently kept by agbor palace.
the link between the dein of agbor and the benin monarchy is not in doubt as up till now ,no one from the agbor royal family can marry from the present benin royal family ,because of blood links.
the story of most ika kingdoms or agbor with benin ,is like the story of yoruba and benin ,and oduduwa, as there are many versions to the story .
the founding of many towns or kingdoms in nigeria have many versions.
however i have this to say to some propagandist who want ika people and owa in particular to be igbo, -
onu ile rie kpokponim,
onu wu oseka le obolo,
ojuwu jen kon de gi eson yimen onu ewuru,
ihien uyaghami ebihiakor agbon onu,
onu jen kon da hun egho le efe,
mani onu asaka kwondon e ,
ebi ebi kor nu ghe gbe,
iseh.
2. to the question of those who want me to tell them why ika is not igbo ? what do you want me to say , to you igbo propagandist , the other day your elders asked for ADADA AND ORIMILI states , they did not ask for anioma and they did not include any ika kingdoms , i think they are very wise , they know where their territory starts and ends, this was just last week,in the papers.
i have stated similarities between ika and igbo ,and i also stated similarities between ika and benin , and what makes ika ethnic nationality different from igbo or any other group, but trust this propagandist ,they will turn a deaf ear and even turn non igbo names into igbo names ,just because of their selfish interest, .no amount of name calling or intimidation will change the stance of majority of authentic ika people.,
3 .the highest ika socio-cultural group is headed by chief fortune ebie from agbor , he is the ika leader , he is over 70 years , and the secretary is major general usiade rtd. from owa almost 70 , leader of ika elders forum is rtd.justice ehiwarrior from owa ,all these men are championing the cause of ika ethnic nationality .
4. i have written on ika kingship, chieftancy, culture, tradition, language, history and world view , i have also dwelt on the criteria for being ika .so may any person who wants to read should check previous articles of mine.
5. i did not start the onu and ogua ika assemblies, so those accusing me ,should also note the our former revered leader was DR george oka orewa, before the mantle fell on chief fortune ebie.
i have ignored this thread for long but for the bolded it shows you have no brain.the people that were asking for adada and orimili states are they not indegenous to the geographical area the proposed state covers?

you think someone from orlu or ngwa will be clamouring for those states?

use your head!

Disappointed. i honestly am ashamed of my great country Nigeria and her leaders, judges, politicians etc and their relationship with this woman Robin R. Sanders

former americna ambassador to Nigeria. u never read anything like this about ghana, which leads me to think nigeria is centuries away from colonisation and

civilisation. imagin yaradua, paying nigeria judges 57million dollars just uphold his election when 150million people are hungry, destitute and hopeless

if u ask me the way forward for nigeria, i will say its best for nigerians sell nigeria and distribute the money amongst themselves so that everybody can

immigrate, and make the country into a giant massive zoo or a games reserve.

I'm very happy about this development because it will go a long way in convincing all these separatists that the problem exists even in their own region.Take Mujaheed Asari Dokubo for example,he is an Ijaw Moslem and has gone for Hajj in Saudi Arabia.I can vough that there are more Igbos and other Southerners in this Boko Haram. So the issue remains fixing our problems as a Nation rather than thinking that seccession is a short cut.

as with the 'federalism' we are running now what if the fg is not making any serious plan to tap a resource that is in commercial quantity (like bitumen in ondo and gas in anambra)?

Over 20 Feared Dead In Fresh Jos Violence print

Despite beefing up of security in the state, at least 14 persons were feared dead in fresh violence that erupted in different parts of Plateau state today.

Today’s killings, P.M.NEWS learnt, brings the number of the dead to 25 between yesterday and today in two separate attacks in Babale and Dabwak villages in Jos North and Jos South local government areas.

Eye witnesses told P.M.NEWS that the alleged attackers who raided Babale village Sunday midnight came in three Opel Vectra saloon cars.

According to him, the attackers suspected to be Fulani herdsmen shot arbitrarily and killed more than 14 people and burnt houses, they kept communicating using torchlight.

One of the survivors, Tabitha Danjuma also confirmed that she heard the assailants communicating with some persons she described as members of Special Military Task Force on Jos crisis.

“I think some STF members helped the attackers to carryout the killings”.

Tired and sick of incessant violence and killings, Chairman of Jos North local government council Barrister Timothy Buba described today’s attack as horrible and sad.

Buba hinted that the state and federal governments will do everything to get to the root of the matter and punish the perpetrators of this heinous act in the area.

At Dabwak village near Kuru in Jos South Local Government Area of the state capital, eight people including a 74-year old man, his wife and two grand children were shot dead around 10 p.m. yesterday night by unknown Fulani assailants in the area.

Crime › Kidnappers Kill Musician by asha80(op): 10:02pm On Sep 05, 2011
Kidnappers Kill Musician print

A popular juju musician called Bayo Ade who was kidnapped yesterday in Benin was found dead today by family members and policemen who went to give the kidnappers the N5 million after they had earlier collected N500,000 as ransom.

The musician was kidnapped shortly after he performed for the Esama of Benin, Chief Gabriel Igbinedion, during his 77th birthday anniversary at GRA Benin.

P.M.NEWS gathered that the 55-year old Ade, whose career spanned over three decades, was trailed to his house at 76, Lagos Street, off Lagos Road, off Mission Road in Benin after he had finished his performance at the Igbinedion house in the afternoon .

He was abducted while dropping off the van that conveyed him from the show.

They whisked him away at gun-point to an unknown destination. From their hideout, the abductors called the family of the musician and demanded for a ransom of N20 million which was eventually reduced to N5 million.

His family pleaded with his abductors to exercise patience till today when the banks would have opened and they would be able to give them the N5 million ransom.

Early this morning the family members went to withdraw the N5 million from a bank, packed the money in a sack and with the police went to the kidnappers’ hideout.

But before getting to the point where the money was to be delivered to the kidnappers this morning, he was found dead at Ewa Junction off Ikpoba Hill in Benin City.

A call to the Edo Police Command spokesman to comment on the incident could not get through as his phone was switched off.

Efforts to talk to the wife of the deceased also failed as she continued to cry with other family members at his residence.

A neighbour who declined to be mentione, said that before Ade’s death, the muscian was not in good health but managed to perform at the Igbinedion party.

from some comments here it is no brainer why federalism has been turned its head in the country.

Hmm, if this is the case, how about the FG step aside from the state natural resources and rather the states remit a portion of sales revenue to FG so it can fund other priorities?
