your points alone has discredit Messi greatly, Terrible Copa America, lost copa Del Rey to small Valencia, and humiliating defeat to Liverpool, Messi has been exposed, he only amass stats in LA liga and nowhere else
Not really.

Scoring 12 goals in The Uefa championship including 4 against english team (eventual finalists) is not la liga stats.

Even though they (!Barca) lost against Liverpool, Barca has lost fewer games in the last three champion league seasons as Liverpool lost only in last seasons UCl.

Nonsense talk...he performed for both club and country... What is Messi doing there after a disastrous Copa America and being white washed by Liverpool ....his only achievement was the usual top scorer in la Liga and la Liga title...

Infact , they displayed national team outfits for us to judge grin
Hahahahaha.

Usual top scorer.

So easy isn't it?

I just wonder how many players in the world who were League top scorer, Champions league top scorers and league winners in a Non world cup year and all these where pushed aside as "usual".

The individual I quoted said the BBC correspondent said "90% of kindnap suspects are Fulani herdsmen".

I watched the BBC documentary. What the documentarian said was that "90% of kidnapping suspects identify as fulani" not that they are fulani herdsmen.

I am not saying kidnappers are not fulani herdsmen. They may in fact be but I am saying don't misquote documentaries. The video is there listen for yourself. It betrays ones biases when we misquote.

This is terrible situation.

Why should special Police squad be using an outdated AK47 rifle that gets so hot when it shoots some rounds, and reason Police officers always use something to big the cartridges to reduce the hotness during combat cry

Can't Nigerian government upgrade Nigerian Police's assault rifle standard to something modernhuh

These outdated AK47 cannot stand the high level of militants and armed bandits rampaging Nigeria now, Nigerian security need total overhauling and upgrade not all these photo session to showoff undecided
I am no expert whatsoever in weaponry & defense systems but from sampled opinions from experts around the world, the Ak47 is the least cost most effective (non pistol) fire arm in the world. Heard about this when the Russian inventor died a few years ago.

Even Americans (who are the global epitomes of self sufficiency) admit to this (they make a powerful but more expensive M-16 alternative).

As an emerging economy you would want to optimize defense cost by Buying cost effectiveness not just "raw fire power" like the big countries do.

For some of these countries (that use more mordern equipments), Our TOTAL budget is just a fraction of their DEFENSE budgets.

Maintenance is the watchword here. It's a Very poor here in Nigeria.

Even if the government goes out to get newer/more recent defense equipments, besides corruption, they would not buy anywhere near the required quantities of equipments.

I personally (knowing) we are far from being a world power, see no reason for unnecessary defense purchases. security is Paramount, but it is better to have 100 policemen even with "rusty" AKs, than just 10 Policemen with more expensive equivalents for cost reasons.

It is pure display of inferiority complex, slave mentality, colonial submission and tragic foolery to validate an African leader based on invitation to a meeting. Feeling shamelessly excited because your President shook or hugged another human being who happened to be elected the president of another country is just going too low. As Africans, we sure have our demons like the other races do but we are definitely NOT inferior though we are different.

By the way, the REALITY of G-7 meeting is that the invitations extended to select African leaders are mere TOKENISM done to fulfil global political correctness. Otherwise, why is that these OUTSIDERS are only allowed to attend brief inconsequential interactions and then HERDED OUT for a PR world media photoshoots? The truth is no 'free lunch' will come from these superpowers without gaining much more in return.

So, Reno please enough of this unnecessary noise.
We are (from creation) not inherently inferior.
But our actual/demonstrated capacity is somewhat inferior.

Now we may argue about such things as enabling environments, infrastructural deficits and what not. But it still does not justify our inferior situations as Nigerians/Africans.

At least for NOW.

What a hypocrite you are!!!

Did you now not kinda held brief and made case for Wadume?! Jeez!!!!!

And you're pointing finger@ buhari for "holding brief for criminals"!!!!
I am not.

I am only pointing to why the Wadume case is not as "trending" as the Evans. Which the quote complained of.

In Nigeria, Politically exposed criminals are treated differently. NOT because of their tribes. But for political reasons.

Evans was not "politically" involved so the system "shined" with him. Not because of his tribe.

I am only telling the quoted that there is no marginalization in criminality based on ethnicity here (Maybe except for politically exposed persons— and they cut across tribes).

Two Nigerian Billionaire Kidnappers.
Chukwudi Dumeme Onwuamadike (Evans) vs Hamisu Bala (Wadume)

The arrest of Evans drew national attention and was highly celebrated and Igbos were insulted and called unprintable names but the arrest of Wadume was resisted by Nigerian Soldiers but non of his people was harassed or insulted. From Wadume confession, security forces even killed police officers and took Wadume to Army base, cut the handcuffs and free him but was later rearrested by police.
We are yet to see the police advertise Wadume the way Evans was handled.
This is Nigeria for you.
Wow. Wow. Wow.

Are you now holding brief for Criminals?

Assessing which criminal was treated more badly? Because of their ethnicity? Really?

Evans was Caught in LAGOS. That's probably a big factor.

Wadume operated from Taraba (A place most Nigerians will never step foot till death — nor care much about). That may also be a factor.

These are factors as to why Wadume is not yet "trending as evans".

Wadume was (as news reveal) a generous "giver". Many Nigerians are usually blindsided by one's generosity, even if such an individual is of a questionable character. Apparently, people could die for this Wadume in his community for whatever reasons. ALL these are wrong.

Evans(from what is known) was not a popular "philanthropist" in his area, with huge following.

Evans killed police officers in an operation.

A police officer was indicted for complicity in Evans case see (https://www.pulse.ng/gist/kidnap-kingpin-police-unmask-female-officer-who-helped-evans-escape/jhwr2qh)

Criminals have NO tribal sentiments. Don't hold brief for any.

Cheers.

This life sha... Some players are favoured to be injury-free most of their active careers (Messi, Ronaldo, Alves, Pique, Xavi, Iniesta, etc), while others remain a case of "what could have been" due to injuries (Welbeck, Sturridge, Soljkaer, etc)...
Yes. But probably not messi.

He started out as injury prone too. He was lucky to have a team(and made sacrifices ) to nip it early enough.
His story might have taken a different turn.

Being injury free requires sacrifices from players too.

Barring someone like former Arsenal's Thomas Vermaelen, Barca generally fosters an injury free selection. (I.e. without players out for more than 2 months for injury regularly).

Could there be an art behind it?

Is it just favour?

Hard to tell. It may also be a footballing Secret!

No one can remember things he/she experienced in his/her birth year.

It reasonably means he was at a conscious or perceptible age. Perhaps 5, 6 or 10 or 15 or even 20.

Some of the debts will never be recovered. The company I worked with is listed here and with my boss' name and it doesn't exist again I wonder how d govt plans on recovering the debts.
It don't exist because it has been liquidated.

Liquidation means winding up.

Winding up involves SALES of the few (if any) valuable assets for what they are worth.

They are almost no closed down business that you can't realize anything from.

So the sales proceeds are used to settle creditors in a legally prescribed order of preferences.

Lol.... nairaland English..."holding"...no be owing again

Jimoh Ibrahim should be forced to pay and his assets confiscated....the guy na serial debtor

Wake babalakin should be arrested....two companies owing such huge amounts....what will happen to those that are dead on the list
Most likely nothing would be done to them.

The most damage to them (personally) has already been done by including them on this (public)list.
This hampers their reputation in the business community (including internationally) as well as their creditworthiness.

Barring those with special loan convenants, everybody on this list is acting as an agent(director) of a Limited liability company [Distinct from themselves] and as such there exists a limit to their responsibility for the firms liability.

Typically, this limit is their Shareholding with represents assets in the firm. So creditors get to claim the assets of the firm OR the firm itself and realize (sell) these assets OR run the companies as SHARHOLDERS in ways that assures them of getting their loans back.

In the extreme situation where a specific loan convenant binds a promoter [as personally liable] his personal assets could also be realized to meet these liabilities.

Beyond these the Courts may also call for the "veil of Incorporation" to be lifted on these firms for these guys to stand personally/individually liable as though they borrowed the monies for their personal use.

These guys are RISK takers though. I don't know about their prudence.

Statement of account does not NECESSARILY prove a person's worth.
Worth = Assets - liabilities.
Assets = cash+ House+car + stocks/Business value. Etc.

These things are not revealed by a bank statement.

A person's SOA can only prove his worth if ALL his assets are held as CASH in bank. Almost no human can do this since we don't eat RAW money.
