Gerrard59:"Will" ? "Before others"? I hope he does though. But the world of Business is cut-throat. No guarantees. You wordings carry a deep tone of 'entitlement' for shola and bias against other enterpreneurs (as inferior). I know this is the IT age. Still, there are no guarantees all the same. Watch out though. No one's special. |
Xisnin:How's meat dangerous to human health? You do know that not all humans are above 45/50 yrs with cholesterol related health challenges right? Young humans need meat too. |
madridguy:I'll advise you not do this oh! There are a lot of sickos out in the world. Sickos could kill a popular person just to have their names publicized as having done something "noteworthy". You can't be right to all in the world. |
oluwatosink:Besides the fact that you didn't answer my question, The Best player ever in the history of la Liga was not "bought" from epl (or any other league for that matter) and even the ones you mentioned as bought from the epl were also "bought" from somewhere else by the epl teams themselves, So? |
Ryocaj:If Laliga was merely an easy place to score than at other leagues (as your theory suggests), why has the Top scorers of the UEFA CL in the last 10 yrs always come from Laliga and not these other "stronger" scoring leagues? |
NatazJuju:If the facts should be totally stated though, the North/Northerners have steadily shipped raw materials (particularly food related) to industries in the east. It is well known that the vast majority of fresh tomatoes eaten in Nigeria are shipped from the North. Sugar and the raw materials for it is also source in the N. Some products like tomatoes are particularly suited to be grown in the north better(AKA nature's bias). The N. Has a long way to go in many areas. But WE can criticize without totally invalidating. And if the North is half desert, the other half is Probably as big as the south (state for state). And yes the North (excluding Benue/Nassarawa/Jos) also produce food crops too. Forget all I have said and visit Katsina (for instance) yourself to confirm. |
Blueelf:CU has shown itself to be a fine Institution. I respect it.However there seems to be this "unhealthy" push to be seen/heard as being better than "All" Nigerian schools. Its faculty has always been substantially made up of Nigerian trained academicians (Trained by the Purportedly poor public institutions) (Some of whom I hear have been trained at CU themselves) — This should mean something, right? You could say CU has made available equipments previously not in their former institutions, but besides this being a flawed assumption, They'll have to "train up" on those equipments/practices for sometime, wouldn't they? Some argue [and it's hard to counter them totally that by private institutions employing previously tenured/trained Nigerian academicians, they are indirectly subsidized by the government] If they could train up and become proficient in the practices/equipments from CU's environment quickly that would mean to me that were already good instructors — from Nigerian Public Universities, right? I assure you that if a more detailed/funded study is conducted on all these institutions, CU may really be better than a good number of the top 90. But it seems CU looks to be okay with any position in any global ranking as long as it doesn't sit below any Other Nigerian institution. That's funny to me. CU is a fine institution nonetheless but others don't have to be/look bad for them to be good/great. |
creolehunt:If this truly happened, and the inmates were nabbed for real crimes (not mere suspicion), then the Ambassador was well in his right for asking them this question (I assume he was not being tribal). Even you and me MAY be guilty of this sentiment too. As citizens of a (Mostly) Poor Nation, Caused in part by bad leaderships, Our International image evoke contempt from other Nationals. You'll generally have to do a lot to beat this perception. You also have to accept to suffer some inconveniences (as regards rights to citizens of these other countries) as a result of being an "Outsider". Nigerians (Certainly not all) commiting crimes or "Disturbing the peace" in these mostly homogeneous white countries also make matters worse for us all. The long/short of it is that the reputation of these criminal few are extended to us all. At times they (these foreigners also have contempt for our leaders too. They may not show it much because those ones spend there and do not permanently live there) Ultimately, All Nigerians should know that their actions have an effect on those coming behind them. |
northvietnam:Hahahahaha! Most Nigerians are richer than Bill Gates? Ya Don't mean it ! Are you kidding me? So how come (I presume this money is in the Banks Somewhere) Our Banked funds don't reveal this? A little suggestion from me though, [try to use the word "most " sparringly] as it means at least ~50.1%. |
ebujany:Is this your response to not being able to rope Buhari into this decision (if it is not fake news)? A cop out? I think we all should realize that there are government officials in Power capable of making decisions that affect the country on their own (whether right or wrong) mostly without Buhari's interference. Even though I am not a supporter of this admin I know this. Decisions like this (if true) exemplifies this point better. No need to come up with the Compensation story, that's just a joke and you know it. |
ebujany:Is this your response to not being able to rope Buhari into this decision (if it is not fake news)? A cop out? I think we all should realize that there are government officials in Power capable of making decisions on their own (whether right or wrong) mostly without Buharis |
setobaba:I think it is Analogy/ Symbolism . These literary devices essentially use different objects /scenarios in ways representative of a current situation to drive home a speaker's points. It looks to be the case here. They are Commonly used literary devices. But it's also easy to see the Metaphor in everything written. |
goodnessme1:Really? But then Isn't 31 yrs is too long a time to feed one's cow? Even literally, the average Cow lives for between 15- 22 yrs. Or Probably you implied figuratively. but then Isn't 31 years too long a time to prime one's target? (Of course, assuming the story's totally true). Sometimes it's hard to accept what goes against our strongly held beliefs. but we just have to let go. Not everything we have in our heads is, in fact, consistent with reality. Cheers. |
mushystuff:Really ? You think this is her first exposure? She's literally been exposed for 31 yrs. Aren't (Not saying you are, but just asking)you part of the cohort that remind us about how "Hausas people" would give a foreigner away (deny & expose to harm) in the event of crisis no matter how long that foreigner has coexisted with them ? Even if you aren't you must at least have heard of this sentiment, right? |
Akachukwu42:True but Make no mistakes the vast majority of goods on AliExpress are sourced from China. Those "European sources" where created for tax planning reasons and to reach European shoppers. As a Nigerian it would typically cost more to ship from those countries than from China. |
Conner44:No. It's not so much about being happy than it being about providing pictorial evidence to those who often ask: "What does the North bring to the table?" Here. Clearly, they can see it. |
Kenistry:That's incorrect again. Only Tevez missed his penalty and the team lost against Uruguay. The game was played on the 16/7/2011. Agree? |
cr7lomo:You certainly didn't get me. I just replied the guy who said that if scoring penalties were easy Messi would have had an International trophy (Alluding to Messi missed penalty in 2016). My point being, Penalties are a part of football. Great. But don't twist their relevance according to when it suits you. Ronaldo once missed a penalty in a final but guess what ? His team still one. Cr7 is a great player nevertheless. |
JOHNSONSOLAFUNMI:Well factually that's not correct. In 2015 COPA America, Messi scored the only Penalty for Argentina but the team lost after others missed theirs. I guess it is very convenient to forget this and move on to the 2016 miss forgetting the one before, right? |
Wickedtruths:How did she think twice when she was ready to die herself? |
Mymynd4u:It's important to push the investment gospel to worker bees but this shouldn't be to the detriment of facts, namely; "That you can never be rich when you work for money" Of course you can be rich being an employee as history has since shown. Coca cola's Roberto Goizueta became a billionaire from being an employee (CEO granted). Uber's Ryan Graves became one too by being an employee. Jamie Dimon & Lloyd Blankfein and all their Senior executives have become multi-millionaires just by their employee compensations. You could easily say that all these we're achieved abroad... Well we are not as transparent in corporate compensations as in the US but if you pick up many a Financial Report from top Nigerian listed companies and have a glean at the compensations section, it becomes clear that indeed people can become rich through employeeship. Investments are great but you can become Rich by being an age old "Labour" factor of Production. |
Sunofgod:Arthur isn't educated? Wow. Say what you will of the guy but he sure is educated. Besides hearing him speak he supposedly bagged an Engineering degree from California State University. |
Davash222:I am not even a Muslim. But does Islam infest with Poverty ? Some of the richest Businessmen that ever walked this country were Kano Muslims so your point is a bit bland here. Besides the Richest man around town happens to be one. So? |
AntiChristian:You are Overreaching a bit with the attempt at sacarsm. The Rhetorics about "Islam" being marked by terrorism doesn't stem merely from the fact that those perpetuating these acts are Muslims. It arose because they (perpetuators) strongly identify religion (true/false) as the 'Reason' for their actions. They (Terrorist) Vehemently rant on about how they are called (rightly/wrongly) to do what they do by their faith. I can't remember this killer saying that God or his faith asked him to carry out any of his heinous crimes. So the analogy you seek to draw here does not really blend. N.b. I know that not all Muslim have terror intentions about others. |
Stalwert:What the soldiers did was a Terrible terrible Overreaction. But you too may be Overreaching as the "entire" Community was clearly not Burnt. Sad sad story. |
PapaNnamdi:You feel the CIA is involved? Even when Iran's President has admitted culpability you still "feel" the CIA is involved? Wow! Operation America must be blamed! |
Kendroid:You made a few mistakes though. You probably should be a little less exaggerating. Messi has score at least a goal in the last 4 years knock out stages of the UCL. Knockout is NOT just Semi finals, Quarters and finals. It also includes Round of 16s. Messi wasn't quite a spectator in the France /Argentina game. Even though he had a poor World cup, He contributed to 2 goals in that game alone. 4-3 is hardly a "shameful dumping" for a match. I should also add that that was the only match in the World cup where France had to come from behind to win at any point from all games in the World cup— As poor as Argentina was. Barca hasn't lost a comfortable win in the UCL 3 Consecutive times. You are stretching it a bit, it's actually 2. Against Roma and Liverpool. 3 years ago they didn't win any of the matches against Juventus. These guys are great players. if you want to pick a chink on their armour you wouldn't want to do so hastily as YOU may end up being the joke. |
GamalNasser:You have a point but it is not totally fair to use this point for ANY reasonable performance assessments. For one, at the Micro/Agency level the NCS should not be assessed by any index for which their operations exert no control over directly. In absolute terms if the NCS yielded more revenue Year on Year (growth%) vs 2018 AND it did so with efficiency (i.e. its cost/revenue ratio in 2019 is less than or equal to that of 2018) The Agency has FINANCIALLY performed. If you want to dig deeper again you may adopt a base year, Say 2014, or any other and determine an inflation index with which to reassess this 2019 Revenue figures with. Adopting your approach of "Dollarization" of Financial metrics would be too GRIM a perspective. By your approach for instance, Vs 2014 $ exchange rate virtually All Nigerian companies failed and by extension all Nigerian employees performed poorly(i.e. are failures) perhaps including yourself. At a Macro level though it might be okay to look at this Metric for political banter (for the President's opposition) as it helps them amplify his failed attempt at improving our exchange rate situation. I don't believe any 8 year tenured Nigerian President can Improve our exchange rate situation though as the fall too never happened overnight. Exchange generally improves with Robustness of an economy, Increased Value added— in Manufacturing and Increased investment in human capacity Over at least 2,3,4 decades to a point of reasonable international economic competitiveness. Or do you reckon there is a Potential Nigerian President sitting somewhere now who can RAMP up our exchange rate to US$ to N1 in 4 to 5 years (even though the current president funnily impliedly promised to achieve same) ? Good help us. |
themonk:Really? You would also think they shouldn't fly US Airplanes too. Isn't it. Or use US Cars too. The US may tamper with these Remotely. Or can't they? |
lovat:The same Obama who (as some argue here) wanted to install gay rights in Nigeria? Obama ? Muslim? Gay rights ? So you think it's Obama that Installed Buhari as President in 2015. No longer Amaech and Tinubu and the South west? |
SenecaTheYonger:I don't know. But it's their prerogative. Most of us easily bash the US for their "Misdeed" around the World to a point of feeling entitled to US' support when the need arises. The US, like any other Nation can withdraw it's support whenever they choose. |
Maxymilliano:So if the US disregard for Jonathan was due to gay rights has Buhari enthroned gay rights in Nigeria Now? As we speak is there respect for gay rights in Nigeria ? So the US as intelligent as they've proven to be would not be able to reckon that a Moderate Southerner (Jonathan) was more likely to Foster gay rights on than a Core (Muslim) Northerner? Our opposition for a leader should not cause us not to balance arguments properly. |
