Dude(this means you,OP),how can you talk about respecting others when you came here and started insulting Nigerian women? If you are getting attitude from Naija girls wherever you are does that now give you the right to open your mouth and insult all of us? Does that make sense to you? |
Bankole? As in Dimeji Bankole? But i said handsome naa. . The dude puts the wo in wo-wo. *quickly thinks of all the money all those executhieves have* Well he's not that bad *clears throat* . Erm how bout Banky W? He's under 30. . You fit arrange dat one? |
Idowuogbo:Hehehe. . Tell it,sistah. ![]() |
More like digging at ben. . Do you know any handsome senators that are under 30? ![]() |
fstranger1:Hehe. . Lol @'Clueless Jenifa'. I decided not to reply anymore. It was like pouring water in a basket-totally pointless cos they'd never get it! |
Idowuogbo:Hehehe. . The gbana she's smoking is Aba-made ![]() |
fstranger1:Nope. . No age limit. And if there was,i'd only say i was older,so what difference does it make? P.s-didn't i see you in the Education & Politics section? |
*goes to open up my store. . .will be back for this!
Where are you going? Common come back here. . . Seriously i think we should hook Mobo and her up. . You know he hates Naija girls so i can't talk to him. Maybe you can. . ![]() |
pinky17:If someone puts his hand in the fire, will you put yours? If someone lumped all Sa/Zim women in the same category, must you do the same thing? The fact that other people generalized does not make it right. If i come across a post a Nigerian made that generalizes,i'd take offense. If i come across a post by a Sa/Zim chick that generalizes,i'd take offense as well. You could've made your point without lumping all Nigerian women into one category. |
But why is this girl attacking everybody na? pinky17:Don't be stewpid. If you post something on a public forum then you should expect replies from the public. I'm part of the public. Not only am i part of the public,i'm part of the category you're lambasting,so i have every right to reply you. And what does going to church have to do with anything? Stop spewing idiocy. |
pinky17:Says the person who was complaining about insults just now. . Ogun a gbue. . Shioor. |
pinky17:Whose pride and ignorance? How many of us are 'you'? 'Drag' dealer? Ko ye mi oh. And you can't possibly get married to any of my male relatives. . Pele. . P.s-I'm sure Mobo is available if you really wanna marry a Naija man. He doesn't like Naija women, you don't like Naija women-you have so much in common already! Plus,i'll bet you two would have such wondrous offspring. I do not want to bully you either . . I just cannot stand generalizations. |
pinky17:Did you or did you not say 'Nigerian ladies' in your initial post? Is that not generalization? What's with us and insults? You come here and insult Nigerian women and then you expect to not get insulted in return? You must be smoking the wrong weed. Mscheww. . Ewe no l'ovban re. . Ewobi. . Wo,you berra let your head be correct this afternoon. |
@OP,please,Stfu. How can you generalize like that? Please go and look for your brain oh. . I think you must've dropped it somewhere. Mscheww. . Bloody generalizing e-diot. . |
17-ish and i'm a May baby. . Why? ![]() |
Don't think my demands are so much that i'll need to reduce them. |
OMG that dress is B-E-A-utiful! I loove how simple it is,no long train,it's really beautiful. . *dreamy sigh*. |
koolhunk:And you=kitty digger. |
This is the third time i'm viewing this topic, and i still don't understand what the OP's saying. ![]() |
It's ATREIDES,not Astrides. And for the rest, well,i can't fit to shout. My throat is paining me. ![]() |
You want him to back off, don't ya? If being rude/harsh is what it'll take to get him to back off, then by all means,be rude. Yes,you two have history but he's lost the right to expect any niceties from you by being a dickhead. 'Accidentally' touching your behind? Staring/drooling with his tongue out and not stopping even when he's caught? That's sexual harrasment,IMO. Nobody should have to put up with harrasment. |
Well,i've never been a proponent of long-distance relationships. And i don't think thinking about a certain person 24/7 is healthy. That being aside, whether the relationship works or not depends on you. If you're really committed to her and if you really love/want to be with her then you'll find a way to work things out. yagbaboy1:Ewoo!!! |
@677ano,not only is he racist,he hates women. . Personally i think he's just making these threads up to get attention. No one can be that dumb. |
<<<*ENTERS THE ROOM and frowns @ everyone talking about food, shakes head and thinks "black people!"* LOL. Well I am off to Chic-Fil-A myself!
And what are you? Orange? . . Why you frowning naa? Are you hungry? You can have some of our banga and pounded yam-and top that off with some good 'ol beer! ![]() |
So all the foreign women came here to 'steal' naija men? Wonderful. . snthesis:And Smirnoff. . *rushes to get some popcorn, booze and increases the volume with her trusty Nl remote*. . Oya let the yabbing begin. . *waits with bated breath* |
@Atriedes Don't mind some of d posters here they are unmarried n so have no experience of wat family responsibilities are. Any reasonable woman will expect those things u've outlined n any reasonable man knows it's his duty. If my wife somehow earns more money dan I it will not b a cause to now shirk my responsibility n tell her to pick d tab. Look its about time everyone realises dat men n women are not on equal footing.
I jus tire jhor. It's like pouring water into a basket. If expecting those things makes one a gold-digger then everybody's a gold-digger ni. |
Which part does a wife need to do? If she cooks, cleans and keeps house, why should the husband not feed, house and clothe her? If he expects those things from her then why shouldn't she expect certain things from him? Marriage is a partnership yes,but both partners have their own individual responsibilty. It is a man's responsibility to take care of his wife. If he does not then how can he expect his wife to respect him? If for some reason,he can not, then that's a different story. I repeat, whether i'm earning 10 milla or not,it is my husband's RESPONSIBILITY to take care of me. If i choose to help out then that's fine. If i choose not to(although i don't see why that would happen),then that's fine too. Taking care of me is his DUTY. Me helping out is OPTIONAL. |
Idk. . Nationwide seminars, improved guidance and counselling services, improvements in the general condition of Nigeria. That last bit means that we must change the system. We must do away with fraud and corruption. A Nigerian kid who knows that at the end of the day, nothing will be given to you based on merit won't see any need to read. A kid who knows he can get expo/buy his way into school won't see any need to read. A kid who sees his mates who are yahoo boys and who are buying plots of land won't see any need to read. A kid who sees governors, legislators and other executhieves robbing the masses blind won't see any need to read but would rather prefer the quickest way out. This country is morally bankrupt. We do not have the right values, and we will never be able to have those values as long as people are not rewarded based on merit. If reading and doing well in school means nothing at the end of the day they why would a kid even want to bother? Why would he bother to read when he knows one Chike with lots of money can buy his way into school? We are a nation of short-cuts. We like the easy(and fastest) way out. Once we begin to recognize merit and do away with short-cuts(expo etc-after all who sells expo to students? If nobody was selling would they buy?),once we build a society where you can get something if you work for it,then it will be easier for students to get their priorities straight. But we don't have to wait for that time. We must start getting our priorities straight NOW. Heaven helps those who help themselves. |
the more this topic goes on, the more I believe it's a view point and perspective issue. @atreides, why do 80% of nigerian students have low priorities? why were your priorities higher than theirs? what made you special? i'm curious.
See now this is a good question. Why do 80% of Nigerian students have low priorities? Could it be the environment they grew up in? I was raised/am being raised in a home where serious stress is laid on academics,a home where my dad bought my first Hadley Chase novel for me when i was in pry 4, a home where i am encouraged/urged to explore my mental capacities to the fullest extent possible. Do most Nigerian kids have that? I don't think so. So the next step would be,how do we encourage Nigerian Kids to re-prioritize? P.s-I'm not saying misplaced priorities are the sole reason for the mass failure,im saying they're a big part of it. |
Dude,i never said those luxuries were the cause of the mass failure,i said students not having their priorities straight are the cause of the mass failure. I only brought in the smartphones et al because someone had mentioned them as the cause earlier, and i was tryna point out that the problem wasn't the luxuries per se but the fact that students allowed themselves to be distracted by them because they don't have their priorities straight. I'm sure in your time you must've had distractions. The internet and other 'luxuries' are the distractions we have to deal with today. And even if you choose to believe that Nigerian kids are too poor to afford those luxuries, then do you think anyone is too poor to date/have a bf or gf? Even if a kid's too poor to own a phone,i don't think anyone's too poor to date or party or booze or whatever. So whether it's facebooking/pinging/tweeting/partying/dating or whatever, students would much rather do those things than read. I've said that before. And if they'd much rather do those things than read, then they do not have their priorities straight. I never said those luxuries were the cause of the mass failure, aight? |
@Zim drill, whether i have a career or not(P.s-i WILL have a career),whether i'm earning 10 milla or not, whether i'm working in C.B.N or not,it is my husband's responsibility to take care of me for as long as he is able to. |
