Thats not how the law works. Is someone commits a crime, and you try to connect it to someone outside the country at the time the crime was commited, you will have to show how you communicated with the person who was outside the country. Without showing how a person outside the country communicated to you to commit a crime, there is no case

I often agree with Reno but on this one, he got it wrong. Kanu dissolved the UK branch of IPOB after having a meeting with them, and finding them wanting. Its his organisation, he can dissolve any branch. So whats the problem with that? Kanu has since reinstated the IPOB UK branch

So why did Reno resurrect an old matter that has been resolved, if not to cause trouble?

Then Reno said that Kanu said that any Igbo man who attends a church Pastored by a Yoruba man, is an idiot. That video is over seven years old and Kanu has since explained that they cut out the rest of what he said that Yoruba Pastors who could not convert many of the Yoruba muslims, to Christians, should not Pastor Igbos

The Federal Governments case against IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu, is already very weak even before it started. Most of the things Kanu will be charged with are things that happened when he was not even in the country.

This means that Kanu did not directly commit them, so the prosecution will have to link him indirectly to the crimes.

Lets say someone went and burnt a Police Station, and Nnamdi Kanu is blamed for sending the person. Kanu's Lawyer is going ask how Kanu in London sent him to burn the station in Nigeria. If the suspect says he was instructed on Radio Biafra, the case is dead because Kanu never spoke to him directly. If the Person says another person close to Kanu, sent him, Kanu will deny the person. If he says he spoke to Kanu directly, unless he saved the discussion, the case is dead. And even if he saved the discussion, it had better be in a format that clearly identifies Kanu.

Trying to prove that someone in a faraway country did something elsewhere, is very difficult at best of times, unless you have hard irrefutable evidence. All I see the federal government has so far is hearsay.

Well now that Kanu has been arrested, you can finally find something worthwhile to do with your life.

Britains biggest and most widely read Newspaper, The Sun, as well as media giant, BBC, have both carried the story of the arrest of IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu.

Nnamdi Kanu gained national attention when he was arrested by the Buhari regime in 2015. He was later released and left the country after a military invasion of his house in 2017.

It seems he is now set to get an even bigger international attention with his second arrest.

The News going round is that IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu, has been arrested and returned to Nigeria.

It looks like its true as Kanu has been silent for a while and Malami announced it.

Whether he has been arrested or not, we Igbos must keep going for self determination and independence.

Referendums usually come in the form of a question. When a referendum is held, two things are vital. The question and answer must clear and unambiguous. During the Scottish referendum of 2014, the question that was put to Scotland was -

Should Scotland be an independent country?", which voters answered with "Yes" or "No".

55.3% of Scotland voted No, while 44.7% voted Yes. So Scotland remained with Britain

Since Nigeria has no constitutionally recognised Regions, the Biafran referendum will have to be by Local Governments. I think the question that should be asked in the Biafran referendum should be -

Should your Local Governments become part of the proposed Republic Of Biafra? Yes or No

The Local Governments that vote Yes by at least a 51% majority or more, will become the Republic Of Biafra

Who is they? Even the first Republic of Biafra comprised most of what you are calling "SS".

Restructuring is not in constitution, it does not mean that many people are not agitating for it.

Referendum may not be in the constitution, it does not mean that IPOB cannot agitate for it.

One problem Yorubas have is they feel that Igbos must reason like, and emulate them.

I dont think that Yorubas realise that Igbo/Hausa/Yoruba are very different people who are only united by the accident of colonialism.

Nnamdi Kanu commanded mammoth crowds but it would have been useless for him to use his followership to seek political power, infact, doing that would have meant the end of IPOB

Nigeria is not structured in a way that helps someone like Kanu to achieve his aim of Biafra through a political process.


People in power do not want Nigeria to break up and even if IPOB managed to get piliticians who are sympathic into office, those people would just make noise about Biafra for a while before the trappings of office will make them forget about IPOB.

If that rule was as simple as you think it is, then every local government in Nigeria has the right to self determination.

Every Congressional district in the USA have the right to self determination, irrespective of their republic's constitution. Every of the 96 political departments of France have a right to self determination, irrespective of their republic's constitution.

Can the world or UN handle such a fractured world if their self determination rights law was so applicable with every family that wants to form its own country?

You answered your iwn question with the above. A mere pressure group can make any demands it wants on government. It is not new, other pressure groups such the NLC and NANS have done so in the past.

What is important is if the pressure group is making the demand legally and without "organised violence"

Take IPOB for example, it wants a referendum conducted in the SE/SS geopolitical zone. Chapter 4 of the constitution allows everyone freedom of association, movement, expression and belief. IPOB is allowed to demand referendum, agitate, protest and even believe in Biafra or the break up of Nigeria as long as the do not use violence to achieve their aim. They do not have to be a political force.

The question is, has IPOB used violence in its agitation to achieve Biafra ir a referendum for Biafra? No they have not. Clashes between civilians and Police/Army is a regular thing that occurs all over the world. Even the Police and Army have been known to clash from time to time. But having the occassional clash here and there is not enough to label any group as terrorists.

Having clash does not make an organisation violent, what makes an organisation violent is if they use violence to achieve their aim even when there is no clash.

IPOB, has not used violence for its aims, they dont carry arms and they have not killed or touched anyone.

They are entitled to make any demands they want, nobody said that the government must grant their demands, but they have the right to make demands.

I ask every well meaning Igbo right now, when is the best time to develop your economic potentials? Today or never!

Only free people develop themselves and their economic potential.
