PoliticsRe: Why The Igbos Should Emulate The Yorubas For Once by attackgat: 12:30pm On Sep 04, 2017
captleonerd:
ipork yoot. don't you get tired of portraying your foolishness all over NL?

Yorubas know when to fight and when to watch and strategize. that's the difference between us.

we are not cowards. we have a well documented history of war lords, generals and empires in a democratic system long before the coming of the white man. what do ibos have? nothing. if not for the white man your people will still be struggling with killing bush meat with projectiles.

why don't you give me a detailed history of the ibo and advancements made before the coming of the white man and I'll do the same for Yorubas.

in fact give me the name of 5 ibo generals/war lords from the precolonial era ad I'll give you 20 from ijebu kingdom to, egba to Oyo to Ibadan to Ekiti kingdoms.

long story shot. we have a long history of empires, wars, civil wars an war lords. we are not cowards. we know when to fight.

bonus: a certain awolowo chased ojukwu to Abidjan without going to the battle field.

brain supersedes brawn!!!
All that and you people are still begging the Northern oligarchy for restructuring? Your people are begging for something that belongs to them?

Which brain and brawns? How can the Yoruba man be begging the Hausa man for control of his own land?

That is what a coward does, he begs for his right rather than demand it.
PoliticsRe: Mbaka On Biafra by attackgat: 8:38am On Sep 04, 2017
It was a most unfortunate statement by Fr Ejike Mbaka. A man who should be telling his fellow Igbos to aspire to touch the stars is the one telling them that houses and investment is more important than freedom and sovereignty.

Someone who should be standing behind a 45 million strong Igbo nation in their quest to be an independent country is the one telling Igbos to forget freedom just because of money and property.

If Mbaka had not been a Catholic priest, I would have cursed him out!

We were in Opposition for long in the SW, Our Leader AWOLOWO was jailed, Abiola Election was annulled, he was killed, his wife was killed, his business was killed. Ajasin was put under house arrest, Abraham Adesanya was shot and the bullets went like raindrops, Bola Ige was murdered in Ibadan, our elections were rigged with provoking audacity, Tinubu was attacked politically and almost brought down but we fought without destroying Nigeria. We conquered without silly blackmail!!!!!!

There is a country called NIGERIA and DEMOCRACY has come to stay, if you can't play with common sense, you will just die of hypocritical ranting!
Do you know why most Igbos consider Yorubas to be a tribe of cowards? Because you people have never risen to fight or even confront the Hausa/Fulani oligarchy that is emasculating Nigeria.

That is why in the south of Nigeria, nobody will stand shoulder to shoulder with Yorubas for everyone knows you people have no fight in you.

We need people who stand up to the North, not those who beg for restructuring and make excuses for a failed ONE NIGERIA.
Christianity EtcRe: Mbaka: "Igbos Will Lose More, No Hausa Or Yoruba Has Property In Igboland" by attackgat:
It is a sad day when people start equating houses, businesses and assets to freedom and sovereignty.

So because of Igbo investments in Nigeria, Igbos should forget their right to self determination?

I didnt expect a well travelled man like Fr Mbaka to be still talking like this.

He thinks Biafran agitation is for poor people? Well let him know that poor people are the majority and it is he who controlls the majority that controlls power.

PoliticsRe: The Nzeogwu We Knew Sardauna’s Driver, Neighbour Recall Memories Of 1966 Coup by attackgat: 7:13am On Sep 04, 2017
In the 60's and 70's, there was hardly any country that did not go through military coup in West Africa. Military coups were popular and fashionable.

There is no way Nigeria could have escaped coup and there was already fire on the mountain.

There is no word like "osi" in the Igbo language.

I will take your word for it and I agree that the Buhari government did not handle this well.

However, my point is, pro biafrans should attempt to grab political power either regionally or nationally. This will make their cause easier and also proof that they have follower ship. Then you can get the international and political support you need. Either that or we keep making comments that will drive innocent young men to take action that might lead to death or incarceration without achieving anything.

It is naive to expect that an Hausa man would give you what you want to the detriment to his own people.
It is pointless for Biafran agitators to seek political power in Nigeria to further their cause. Infact, if pro Biafrans try to seek political power in Nigeria, it will be the end of them.

Nigeria not structured in a way that makes secession by politics possible.

Had Nigeria been a true federation where the Regions have high degree of autonomy and can vote in their regional parliament on secession, then that would be a different thing. Then, Nnamdi Kanu can turn IPOB into a political party, test his popularity at the polls, and if he wins big, can move a motion for the independence of his people.

But at this point, even if IPOB were a political party and won all the elective positions in the SE/SS area, they would still have to to the national assembly to move a motion for independence and the other 4 zones are guaranteed to use their number to vote it out. So that would all be wasted effort, and by then, elected IPOB members who are enjoying power are most likely to forget that it was all about leaving Nigeria. Some might even start singing the tune of ONE NIGERIA. Power corrupts people.

The best thing for Kanu to do is to keep up the pressure through non violent protests and civil disobedience until Nigeria agrees to grant referendum.

Already, it is working for we can see the Arewa youths calling on the federal government to grant the East referendum because of the Biafran agitation.

We are getting there

Just think of ways to get what you want without violence.

Nobody should sit down and decide to start a war and then blame the Yoruba man for not risking his life to join in a fight that was never his.
IPOB has never been violent, it is Nigeria that has been violent to them

IPOB has never killed anyone, it is them that have been shot and killed

IPOB talks about referendum, Nigeria talks about war.

Your advice should be to the Nigerian government, not IPOB

PoliticsRe: Why Was There Little Call For Biafra When Jonathan Was In Power? by attackgat: 9:53pm On Sep 03, 2017
OkunrinMeta:
So my questions are:

why is the demand for Biafra more pronounced now?

Did the agitators forget what they wanted before?

Did they not want it at the time?

What exactly is the reasonable expectation currently?

Do you want the Hausa man to go and face his onions and cow while leaving the oil for only the east to enjoy because they are very selfless like Jesus?

Would it not have been easier to ask Jonathan to do that?

Are we willing to go back to 1967 to make it happen?
The call for the return of Biafra was an upward swing as soon as Nigeria returned to democracy in 1999. It was kick started by Ralph Uwazuruike with MASSOB in the same year.

However, the Biafran was really galvanised when two radical elements in the name of Nnamdi Kanu and Benjamin Onwuka broke away from MASSOB and formed IPOB (Indigenous people of Biafra) and BZF (Biafran ZIonist Federation)

Unfortunately for Benjamin Onwuka, he ran foul of the law and was detained while Kanu who was in London used his Radio station to build an international network of followers.

By the later half of GEJ's tenure, Radio Biafra already had a large followership. But GEJ largely ignored them.

Buhari was the natural catalyst that moved the Biafran movement the next level. Buharis 'born to rule' mentality, his lack of understanding the dynamics of Nigeria, his analogue mindset and the fact that his administeration made Nigeria harder for Nigerians exploded the Biafran agitation.

Igbos now marvel at having their own independent nation where they dont have to worry about Northerners like Buhari any more.

It is now all about freedom by referendum.

PoliticsRe: If The Igbo Ethnic People Do Leave The Nigerian Federation! by attackgat: 4:37pm On Sep 03, 2017
There over 40 tribes in the Niger Delta, most of which have landed borders with Igbo land. I dont think anyone should speak for all 40 ethnic groups about how they feel about Igbos and Biafra. An Uhrobo mans perception of Biafra may not be that of an Efik man. For anyone to claim to speak for the entire minorities is stupid. These minorities have not had a fair deal in Nigeria anyway abd it is them that have taken up arms against the Nigeria government more than anyone else. People might be surprised that if faced with the choice of leaving with Igbo and staying in Nigeria, leaving with Igbos makes makes far more sense.

But assuming that Biafra turns out to be just about Igbos, the so called 5 SE states cannot be used as a template for referendum for 2 reasons.

1)The 5 SE states contains minorities such as the Igala of Anambra and the Idoma of Enugu. Those minorities cannot be forced to go with Igbos.

2) Igbo land is muh larger than 5 states. We have the Igbos of Benue or the Umueze- Okoha people who number over a million. There are Anioma elements in Delta and Igboid elements in Rivers.

State creation is not what makes a person Igbo

There are many advantages to Igbos being independent

1) We become sovereign and control our land.
2) Igbos will be removed from the constant battle of supremacy between the North and South
3)Igbo land starts to control their resources, human and natural. Enugu should control its coal, Ukwa should control its oil, onitsha should cobtrol its River port, Otu-ocha should control its Gas etc

4) Igbo land as a sovereign nation can now go across the world and sign trade deals and compete with others in the comitte of nation.

5) Life without freedom means nothing, Igbos will finally be free.

An indepedent Biafra makes far more sense than being part of the failed country called Nigeria.

PoliticsRe: Disintegration Is Our Greatest Fear: Arewa Youth Laments by attackgat:
The Northern youths are hypocrites. They issued quit notice so as to ensure the unity of Nigeria? How laughable. I dont think the Northern youths realise how much their actions helped to make Biafra more popular.

That quit notice opened the eyes of our people to reality on the ground, that there is nowhere they can count on but home.

It also exposed the hypocrisy of ONE NIGERIA. That people can get up and ask other people from other Regions to pack up and go yet the people who made this call get away with it scot-free. The same people then demand the rearrest of Kanu.

So Kanu is the one who should arrested because he wants Biafra but the Northern youth who make treasonable statement are giving adequate protection and hailed?

Wether the North likes it or not, the Igbo nation will one day become an independent nation.

PoliticsRe: The Reason Why Northerners And The Yoruba's Are Against Restructuring by attackgat: 10:25pm On Sep 02, 2017
Restructuring is mainly a Southern Nigerian agenda, the North are against it.

Very few people shouting restructuring in the south of Nigeria have said how they will confront the North about this.

The Yoruba call for restructuring is nonsense because when the North will say NO, the Yoruba nation will have no choice but to return to ONE NIGERIA

Restructuring agitation is for those who are ready to confront the North and no one can confront the North without the threat of secession.

Anyone who is for ONE NIGERIA should forget restructuring because what you are invariably saying is:

"I want restructuring but if the North refuses, I remain loyal to what the North wants"

This is laughable

Yorubas should stop talking about restructuring until they have the spine to confront the North not just with words alone

Uwazuruike started the Biafran movement at a time when no one dared talk about Biafra. He brought in people like Nnamdi Kanu and Benjamin Onwuka. For that alone, he has my regard. But as a true freedom fighter, the man is a waste of time. Uwazurike finally put the nail on his own coffin when he ran like a slave, to the North with Al Mustafa to plead with his Hausa/Fulani masters because of quit notice.

DutchBruh:
I have never been a fan of Nnamdi Kanu due to his antichrist statements and belonging to the brotherhood of the Jewish founded Freemasons.
There are two options the FG has to neutralise Nnamdi Kanu Support base:
1) Expel him from the country permanently and send him back to UK and get the technology to block transmission of his message
2)Arrest Nnamdi Kanu and the Arewa Youths that issued the quit notice.
He cannot be expelled. It is aganst the law to expell a Nigerian citizen even if that Nigerian citizen rejects their Nigerian citizenship

There is no technology to block his message since the Radio station uses multiple platfirms such as shortwave, app, satelite and internet to broadcast

Nnsmdi Kanu has already been arrested and is standing trial. No point arresting him if he has commited any further crime.

Removing Kanu from the Nigerian situation is not going to make the Biafran agitation go away. There are many who will take his place if he is no longer around. Freedom is at stake here

It is absolute hypocrisy for IPOB to be insulting their host up north that they want their country and the north does not want you to go, the north decided to give you a quit notice after years of insults and name calling. You said you can't leave because you've not gotten your country and needed a referendum to get it and they said they would be petitioning the UN on your behalf for you to get your country, instead of moving and going to get your Biafra as you've always wanted, you still refused and instead petitioning that same UN that you don't want to leave again.
The arewa people never told you they wanted a separate country, it was you that wanted out so stop giving excuses
Listen well. The concept of ONE NIGERIA is that there is no host. Anyone has the right live or reside anywhere they want in Nigeria as long as they are Nigerians. There is nothing like "host". If any region does not feel happy with another and wants control who lives or does not live in that region, let that region agitate to be a separate country same as IPOB/Biafrans/Igbo are doing. When they become a separate country, they can issue as many quit notices as they want.

The north has no right to issue any quit notice to anybody while holding on to ONE NIGERIA. That is the height of hypcrisy.

Is it a new thig for people to agitate for independence? Scotland agitated and got referendum from Britain in 2014. At no point did other Regions such as give Scottish people quit notice just because they said they want to go.

Britain had referendum last year and left the EU. The EU is not giving British citizens quit notice.

It is only in uncivilised places like Nigeria that people start giving quit notices to people who have every right to be there
PoliticsRe: Biafra: Crisis Looms In Igbo Land by attackgat: 12:04pm On Sep 02, 2017
Throwback:
It was the move that proved that Igbos need the "parasitic" North. Till today, Igbo pride is still hurt that the North will expose the Igbo hypocrisy and dependence with just a single declaration that did not even require a rally. Now imagine the North staging rallies like IPOB, boy o boy, Igbos will be shitting their pants and writing appeals to even Togo and Liberia.

Even Kanu has no plan for the Igbos that would return enmass. Hence the cries and appeals to UN and US.

Have you seen any Yoruba or Northern groups appeal to UN or US over NigerDelta quit notice?

We don't even regard it as noise, it is just an irrelevant whisper? Are the NigerDeltans ready to leave the North and West?
Comedians and jokers everywhere.
How can the quit notice hurt Igbo pride? You mean people like me in Enugu lost any sleep over what some Nothern youths are declaring in Kaduna? The quit notice was laughable. Quit notice cannot work while there is ONE NIGERIA.

Nigerians have this ridiculous mindset that if Igbos are serious about their own country, they would all return to their region.
This is a nonsense that has been done before that did not work. In 1967, all Igbos went home and declared Biafra, Nigeria still came to the East to fight for ONE NIGERIA.

Igbos know that going back home will not give them their own country, all that will do is give mischief makers the opportunity to loot Igbo investments.

It is absolute hypocrisy and laughable for people to be issuing quit notice while holding on to the notion of ONE NIGERIA.

If the Northern youths were serious about the quit notice, they should declare a Arewa Republic then Igbos will know that they are in a different country and can go.
