PDP condemns Buhari’s stand on insurgency December 3, 2014by Olusola Fabiyi 7 Comments The national leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party says it is not happy with the stand taken by a former Head of State and a presidential aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari(retd.), on insurgency in the country. It said it was wrong for him to state that the Federal Government was not tackling the issue head-on. A statement issued by the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Chief Olisa Metuh, in Abuja on Wednesday, said it was also bad that Buhari promised to end insurgency if elected president in 2015. Metuh said, “PDP is constrained to take on former military ruler and four-time aspirant to the office of the President, Buhari, on the insinuation contained in his declaration that the Federal Government has failed in tackling the problem of insurgency and that he will end the scourge if he is elected President. “It is unfortunate that Buhari, being a former head of state, has continued to play politics with a very serious security challenge which has claimed the lives of many Nigerians by always trying to use the pains of the people to score cheap political points at a time all patriotic Nigerians are joining hands with government to look for solution.” Metuh added that rather than show patriotism by collaborating with the Federal Government, the APC presidential aspirant prefers that the nation has no solution until the time he is able to step in as president with his magic wand to end the insurgency. He said this was not only exposing a height of insensitivity but also a clear absence of genuine love and concern for the people. He said Buhari, who he described as a prominent citizen of the country, ought to have put the country first before any selfish political agenda and personal aggrandizement. Metuh added that the Federal Government has shown what he described as “incontrovertible commitment ” to ending the insurgency by deploying troops and equipping the military, but regretted that the opposition leaders including Buhari, have continued in their “desperate attempt to sabotage the efforts by making statements that encourage insurgency and which are capable of demoralizing and dividing our security agencies.” He said that he was happy that Nigerians appreciate the fact that the Federal Government “has been able to sustain the battle to repel the insurgents through the gallant efforts of our armed forces, who have continued to put their lives on the line in defence of our nation and her people. literarymathy:i suppose you ve seen the book written by Pierre s.Freeman,'The prisoner of San Jose(Prisoner of Amorc),he was a member of Amorc for 24yrs,he spoke about of the mind control slavery practiced in Amorc, the cult-driven hallucinatory indoctrination, the ritual initiation etc.He even wrote an open letter to Christian Bernard, venerated imperator of the Rosicrucian Order.....he raised a serious question on the justification of the application of section 9 Number 24 of the occult faculty of Assumption during initiation. You know quite well what am talking about, since you are an initiate and have spent better part of your life as a Rosicrucian...can you put more light or hold out for it? |
literarymathy:but we can agree on the fact that Amorc is highly mystical, every devoted member seems to possess an extra-ordinary ability, which hinges on mysticism,a case of a Rosicrucian who had problem with a man, while the man was ranting, the Rosicrucian smiled and got back inside his house and before you can say Jack Robinson, the man that was ranting, ran mad.I have also seen Masons get out of freemasonry without being perturbed by members(am nt holding brief for Masonry) but there has been reported cases of former members of Amorc seriously tormented after they denounced their membership. |
literarymathy:We all know that Amorc has signs which are subtle to insiders only but that in itself doesnt make it an occult because even fraternities have theirs, but i have observed something that seems a little strange about Rosicrucians, they tend to grow either a finger, hair, mustach etc and like they are compelled by the group to do so and it serves a purpose, thats just by the way.Why do Rosicrucians insist on paying the last homage to a dead member and with insistence that the family of the bereaved must excuse them.Even during Bola Ige's funeral, this script played out, along side other issues that came up. |
literarymathy:I strongly have my reservations about AMORC,i try to balance what people say and what Rosicrucians do,while growing up as a young boy with friends,i met few 'Light bearers',thats the children version of Amorc,i also know some Rosicrucians now,but i only try to judge them by the strength of their character and not by their membership of Amorc! I suppose you are quite aware of the celebrated case btw ECWA church and AMORC,in which the supreme court of Nigeria declared that AMORC is a secret society...can you in all honesty say that AMORC by your membership of this association, that its not a secret society?I will come back with some events that happened in the past and try to prove to you that AMORC is a highly occultic group. |
ibedun:...like serious any Igbo man that lives in a compound built by a yoruba man must really be poor in every sense of it.Those 'hide-outs' the call houses is inhabitable and the few yoruba owned houses i know in Lagos were inherited from their great grand fathers, most has stayed 100yrs or more,red-zinc,no toilets, drainages pass through rooms etc......dont go and work and take care of your family, keep hoping on the 'hide-out'called house your great grand father left in Ajegunle before he passed on.btw be very careful the way you lust for igbo women, some Igbos in Lagos has also learnt to lace their wives with 'Magun' Yoruba infidelity charm, dont waste ur life, your family is still young. |
ChairmanOment:am surprise that you guys are still responding to that frustrated young man,i can see that the closure of Igbo businesses today in Jos is running him mad, probably he gets his crumbs from running era for Igbo business men,we are quite familiar with the slippery and ludicrous nature of his people...whatever they cant get, they criticise! |
IleIfe2:am now convinced you are truly a clown, you are only good for comic relief.Even your brothers will be hiding their faces in shame because of ur post....but one good thing i liked about your post,is that you kept merging Yoruba and North together in your quest to challenge Igbos,to me that was enough respect for igbos, therefore i hands up for you,no comment. |
Mr president being the chief mourner, must be in a very bitter mood,i no this is a very difficult time for him,i sincerely condole with him and his family, they families who lost their loved ones and Nigeria as a whole....just like the president assured us,'no stone wld be left unturned in his quest to get to the culprits'. God bless Nigeria. |
IleIfe2:ordinarily i didnt want to contribute to this thread but i happen to be in Jos plateau state now and i can tell you that the state, especially the business area can be classified as a ghost town, all roads now leads to crest hotel, venue of the igbo day celebratn.from Ahmadu bello-way,to farin Gada, massalacin Jumai to old Bukuru park, from Rukuba satellite market to fadama market, everywhere seems deserted. When i glanced at ur moniker and realized that you are Yoruba,i shaked my head and said to the guy by my side 'Yorubas and their usual struggle to compete with Igbos',he smiled and asked the bar man to bring more bottles of 'hero' beer and he exclaimed,'who God has blessed,no man can fight'...God bless Nigeria! |
DrJoe1:as much as its nt possible for we Nigerians to change the way we speak or write because we derive pride and even greater national identity from it,it doesnt give you the justification to speak of other nationals in a derogatory manner...talking about reverse racism!!! His friends love Nigeria and wish to participate in our forum. |
abbakacici:a b o k i,even after the explanatn above.....and almost 80% of Arabians care about us. |
RIP to a nice man,i remember some months back while in Jos with some military boys,we all went out with Mr Okoye to Hill-Station Hotel, along Tudun Wada and it was a nice evening exchanging ideas and opinion on varying national issues, football, music etc...rest in peace for your soul has created a rapport with heavenly bodies. |
9jaforlife:thats my problem with you muslims, the more you try to defend this arrant nonsense the more you expose your deep rooted hatred and usual intolerance for others.i forgot that your Allah can not be worshipped in jewish language, you shld be blaming your MURIC for always raising issues that stand to divide this country rather than unite us and dont forget that the 'denial of our right is an invitatn to fight for it',because MURIC raised this, other national issues regarding religion must be raised...why must sharia be in our constitution and in the same constitutn we talked about upholding the secularity of this nation?why was Islam and muslims mentioned about twenty or more times in the constitution and not a single mention of christianity in the constitutn?why wld a secular nation mention anything grand khadi in our constitutn? The truth is that muslims by their religion and nature are meant to cook up problems where there is non,if this issues in our constitutn had been in favour of christianity or any other religion, hell wld long had be let loose by muslims.I advice you to keep quiet and meditate over your religion and its oppressive nature. |
Muslims and Islam is the single most dividing factor, not just in Nigeria but world over,i wonder how this national clown became a proffessor....only in Nigeria have i seen a situation where an oppressor cries more than the oppressed.Listen to him,'that the Arabic inscriptn has been on all the denominations for many years and that the inscriptns on the lower denominations were unceremonously removed, but that of the higher denominations were left',in essence what this nitwit, imbecillic prof.is saying is that Nigeria is an Islamic country.Whenever this things favour muslims nobody shld talk except when it swings to the other side. The president must as a matter of urgency demand that all those devilish islamic inscriptn on our notes must be removed,Nigeria must withdraw its membership of organizatn of Islamic countries(OIC),the demonic Islamic mosque like tomb on top of the national assembly building, must be removed forthwith because Nigeria is a secular nation.some times i imagine how nice a place the world or Nigeria wld have been without Islam. |
smada13:I thought you were right on point until mentioned GEJ,i shaked my head in disapproval and said, you got it all wrong. This is beyond GEJ,this is an agenda orchestrated over so many years by a section of the old order in the core-north and other islamic neighbouring countries.it happens that GEJ who is a minority christian from the south turned out to be the president and they the boko haram was ordered by their benefactors to 'unleash the dragon'.Boko Haram may never stop their terrorism against this country until the Islamic core north withdraws their direct or indirect support for the group. Dont forget what happened in Mubi, when our soldiers left town, many muslims took to the street and were hailing and praising boko haram, infact a report likened it to the 'triumphant entry' in the bible, people were singing their praises and some took them to the houses of few christians in the town and they effectively eliminated their neighbours who are christians. |
sendmeonly:..are you a member of brotherhood of cross and Star, why do you people place ur leader O.O.Obuh in the same level with Jesus Christ?can you explain better for me to understand? |
Source:Osun Defender! hmmm!!! This unholy marriage between the Gambaris and a section of the south-west,will do Nigeria no good!Thesame block that held this country down with the shackles of poverty and retrogression are at it again. |
....true talk Mr.FFK but how come you escaped our preying eyes,we declared you'persona non grata'in the East, but they men at the helm of affairs shielded you with enough body guards!indeed i now believe the saying that 'in politics there are no permanent friends or foe, only permanent interest'! |
Why wld anyone or group waste its time responding to an uncircumcised son of perdition, whom only contribution to this country is spreading terror and fear, just to keep leeching on the national cake.Junaid and his ilks started feeding from the corridors of power right from the first republic and yet his people held sway in the presidency for upward of thirty something years but all they could give their NORTH is fifteen million Almajiris loitering the streets and hence from these Almajiris, boko haram has enough man power to tap from.some us find it hard to forgive the amalgamation of 1914 that brought us together with those who has held back this country with the shackles of poverty, extremism, terrorism and complete retrogression....well i cannt questn God for allowing the amalgamatn. |
himkers:never mind, there is a shift in age going on in plateau state this time around...the anointed candidate is senator Kwajok,a berom man in his late 40's or early 50's....RIP to the late Senator!!! |
himkers:never mind, there is a shift in age going on in plateau state this time around...the anointed candidate is senator Kwajok,a berom man in his late 40's or early 50's. |
There is a difference between taken over a town and retreating into a town for safety, they ve nt shot at people, according to the report,it means they are running away from a greater force(Nigeria Army) and they may wish to melt into the populace as civilians!I can tell you that Sambisa is right about now almost being surrounded by Nigerian and international forces, though very extensive mass of land and very difficult to manoeuver, the military are doing a lot and aerial surveillance is going on...but i also wish government shld recall about 28 thousand Nigerian military men on foriegn mission,to make up for the required foot soldiers needed to wipe away these sons of devil from the surface of the earth. God bless Nigeria! |
The same imbecilic sickly looking man is so corrupt that you can perceive it 100 miles from where he is,he suddenly started loving Nigerians while as a minister of FCT Abuja,he rendered so many Nigerians homeless,he was the 'god of the manor',he hears no plea and acted without human face, the same national clown alloted plots to a one week old baby and boasted of his aristocratic upbringing and said that Abuja is not for poor Nigerians....What moral justification does this man stand on to condemn the present regime. o! I forgot he has lost his plum job, lets see if he can even win APC primaries in his native Kaduna then we shall all witness his fatal disgrace at the general elections. My people use to say 'he who the gods wants to kill, they first make him mad'! |
I knew it was only a matter of time before our special force take back mubi, the pressure shld be on until they go on the defensive,Mubi is certainly going to be boko harams grave yard!i know the God that i serve. |
OrlandoOwoh:You speak as if the solution to this war lies on building memorials for soldiers, when it suits you guys you use America and the West as an example, have you ever research on the behaviourial pattern of an Average American during wars? The encourage their soldiers by way of praises, they help the government propaganda machine online,by posting news of military successes rather than their failures,in other to demoralise the enemies, youths walk to Military headquarters seeking to be enlisted into the force regardless of any benefit, they think America first, they forget if they are republicans or democrats.Dont forget the Vietnam war which America tactically withdrew because it became a grave yard of American soldiers and yet they were all thinking America first. Our case is even more serious because you are fighting an enemy from within and you try as much as possible to limit collateral damages. You mentioned JF Kennedy in your post but you forgot to give us his notable quote and advice to American youths,i quote him 'do not think about what your country can do for you but rather think about what you can do for America'. |
Arch1:Am nt here to blame anyone but rather to sympathise with a fallen hero,he has played his part and may God console his family. But this point must be made straight, the North are nt being honest to this country called Nigeria,Ihejirika did a yoeman's job while at the helm of affairs of the Nigerian Army,he matched the Islamic terrorists, man for man, blood for blood, then they powers that be in the north, rised against him for brutally suppressing they terrorists, they said he was being too bloody, that in some instances rather than arresting the boko boys,he opted to waste them,he took no prisoners! Today, every other Army chief treads with caution because of the volatility of the North and they are learning from Ihejirika's supposed mistakes inother to retain their job!Today territories are lost to they terrorist cause you never can tell if the North will take you to ICC for human rights violation when you kill their prodigal sons who are boko haram members. Never in the history of Nigeria have we heard of any region taking service chiefs to ICC even in cases of obvious human right violations but now the North for first time has been on the recieving end and they quickly ran to ICC....dont forget the Biafran Genocide,Asaba massacre,Odi ethnic cleansing,Katsina-Ala(Benue)mass murder etc why now the core North? or are we no longer interested in this union called Nigeria!!! |
So sad,the Babatunde man may even pay his way out of this case and then, waiting for another innocent victim to devour! |
May be he is on self imposed rest and will be coming back soonest!wish him all the best. |
Descartes:must you respond to a 'lost soul',those who think that in all situation they must bring in their bitter politics and ethnicity to it...young people who have sold their souls for little crumbs that falls off their political mentors table. That guy and his ilk irritates me a lot! |
...'the driver has been buried according to Islamic right',what bullsh*t is this, how then can full investigation be carried out,its as good as saying that the investigation has been closed and buried!no forensic test, postmortem examination, weapon type and bullet and location specification etc.A victim of murder buried before investigation started, what nonsense!Islamic Religiosity shld give way for orderliness to prevail. RIP and may God divinely comfort his family! |
Pa Oritsejafor always saying it as it is,the enemies of Nigeria and all agents of retrogression will always be against you but the truth that you stand for will prevail. Long live the very amiable, hard working, patriotic and visionary can president. May the love and peace of God whom you serve be with you as you continue the battle against evil in our society. |
