Peter Okoye prays for ‘money-loving’ Igboson November 05, 2014 at 9:03 pm in Entertainment Peter Okoye of the singing duo, P-Square, has composed a funny prayer for the ethnic group of south-eastern Nigeria, popularly known as Igbo. Many do argue that the tribe love money more than the other tribes in Nigeria. Peter took to his instagram page to offer prayer for his kinsmen. Read the prayer below: This prayer is 4 all IGBOS: Dear MONEY, since all the ethnic groups in Nigeria, agree & constantly confirm that it is only the IGBOS that LOVE you so much. Please rise and visit every Igbo person struggling anywhere around the globe…visit them wit all your different clothes like DOLLARS, POUNDS, EUROS and NAIRA. You may leave out other TRIBES since they keep denying u in public .. Amen!…. If u are proudly lgbo, let me hear a thunderous Igbotic Ameeeeeen!!!. Ngwa biko bless another nwa afor’Igbo with this message. www.vanguardngr.com |
Everybody wants to be relevant....who is Dele Momodu?A national clown who has all this years fed from the thieving tables of our elites by promoting extravagancy and stupendous materialism by his so called 'Ovation Magazine'!Showing our youths that all it takes to be great is to make money at all cost, regardless of where such wealth comes from,he encouraged a culture of impunity by always featuring top civil servants, corrupt businessmen and our thieving politicians who plundered our economy and built magnificient houses, cars etc with our stolen wealth,he sang praises for their lavish lifestyles even at a time of overwhelming poverty in our dear land and he got paid for it. Dele Momodu wld be remembered for promoting corruption in a way never been seen before, only in Nigeria can demons come out as Angels of light! Btw, why doing his delusional election calculations he forgot that there are states like Plateau,Taraba and even Abuja etc and that Lagos can never be won by GMB and also how Ekiti dissappointed APC and Even APC had to relocate the entire national secretariat to Osun state just to make sure that the so called performing Gov.Aregbe can eke out a win either by crook or by hook! |
LagosShia:prophet Mohammed mandated muslims to go on pilgrimage in their life time and being one of the five pillars of Islam, most devoted muslims who can afford it,carry out this mandate. During pilgrimage muslims from all over the world visit Mecca and Medina, the second most holiest city in Islam and when Sallah is called, the Wahabbi and Salafist Imam leads other Muslim Ummahs in prayers to Allah, dont you think that one wld assume that Wahabbi and Salafist are more inclined to true knowlegde of Islam and truly practise Islam in accordance to the law of Allah. And if Wahabbi Saudi truly funds ISIS,then ISIS wont be threatening to blow up the black stone of Mecca or Kaaba, which they claim that by Muslims kissing it during Pilgrimage connotes idolatry....am nt holding brief for Saudi(Wahabbism) but i only think that Sunnis are more inclined to terrorism or radical Jihadism and one can hardly differentiate between other Sunnis and Wahabbi(Sunnis). |
aurenflani:Young man, people like you are the reason Nigeria has found itself in this mess, for how long are we going to suppress the truth.Every muslim knows that the Sunni's believes that the Shia's are infidels and must be wiped or dealth with. From Iraq-Iran,Yemen-Syria,Egypt-Lebanon etc it has been war between this two groups....but from a neutral point of view and from information available to all,the Sunnis are the most troublesome group, always killing, bombing and maiming Shia's. In countries like Iran where shia's hold sway, they dont kill sunnis, they are more innovative and they embrace science and development but go to any Area where sunnis are dominant or even less dominant, they still terrorise others courtesy of Isis,Al qeada, boko haram etc. Meanwhile where is 'Lagos Shia',come and speak for your people. |
ayukdaboss:young man,the solution to this crisis does nt lie fully on the door step of our government but also on the people who sympathise with this group,we are nt fighting an external aggressor, but we are fighting our supposedly brothers, some brain washed youths from far-North,some Kanuri's,some Hausa-Fulani's and sympathisers and sponsors from other parts of Nigeria. The man you went to mosque with yesterday, the politician that addressed a gathering yesterday,a Nairalander you charted with last week, the man man you transacted business with yesterday, the soldier you greeted this morning etc could be a boko haram member,so thats what makes it difficult to fight. Until this support source is cut-off we may never know peace and in like other climes,at a time like this we need to show a great level of patriotism to our nation and suppress the monster but nt in Nigeria, just everything is politics. |
joseph1832:oh there you come again, remember thesame opposition in alliance with the so-called Northern elders and professionals, more than once insisted that this battle can never be won in the fields since it hinges on religious ideology and they all urged the ruling government as a matter of national emergency to embark on negotiation with the terrorists and as a listening government, attempts were being made to negotiate with the recalcitrant terrorists....posterity will forgive the present government for atleast trying out every available measure at peace, even when we know that this battle is more than what the eyes can see, there are many vested interest in this battle for the soul of Nigeria. I leave you with the words of former American president JF Kennedy 'let us never negotiate out of fear but let us never fear to negotiate'! God bless Nigeria! |
Obiagelli:Does it stop the fact that your Shekau has long been killed and that APC wish to keep him alive for cheap political gain! |
joseph1832:is either you dont understand the crux of the matter or you are intentionally twisting the whole issue just for argument sake.Op made a clear point, which is on the fact that a section of the Nigerian press are directly or indirectly backing Boko Haram by giving cheap publicity and authenticating the views of the terrorist group regardless of the fact that we have seen videos and proofs by the Nigerian and even camerounian Army that Shekau has been killed in a battle, yet this press mercenaries still want to impose it on Nigerians that the said Shekau is still alive, with all surety! Beyond politics,we shld all know the limit we play with this nation, yes you may hate GEJ and his leadership style but nt at the detriment of this nation. The opposition has indirectly been fanning this insurgency and little wonder if there will be a country called Nigeria,if par-adventure the win, they ve set a new precedent in opposition for this country.Dont forget that every kin observer is watching them sow a monster and a beast shall they reap.God bless the good people of Nigeria. |
Mr President,i totally disagree with you on this. |

patriot4:The truth is that politics has eaten deep into the fabrics of Nigerians, people are diviided on political, religious and ethnic line,it may surprise you to know that even some APC stalwarts may be celebrating the perceived fall of Mubi, because to them they ve scored a cheap political goal.Funny enough, one day we may wake up and discuss Nigeria in the past, for any house that is divided among itself, especially in times of crisis will not stand. If you are a Nigerian Army personnel and you listen to comments made by some even educated Nigerians who shld know better, you will conclude that Nigeria is nt worth dying for.At a time when our support is needed most, people are here insulting their president and they army, even if Nigeria falls today, many of the politicians instigating these propaganda, will take the next available flight and jet away with their families and loots. Did you nt observe the unprecedented number of posts on the so called fall of Mubi alone on Nairaland.Boko haram is getting enough cheap publicity just because of politics. |
While the recalcitrant ex-junta,coupist and tyrant, who is known for being highly tribalistic and a confirmed religious fundamentalist, arrested Shagari the then president, subjected him to only house arrest, because he is a Northern muslim,he arrested his deputy Alex Ekwueme and imprisoned him because he is from the East and a Christian...while he was the Chairman of Petroleum Trust Fund(PTF) during Abacha's regime,79% of all projects carried out where in the North,Universities from the North where recieving busses, new departmental blocks and roads and projects where massively carried out in the North. The worst hit was Eastern Nigeria where only 0.3% of the project went to and his defence was that, when he was about facing the East, the regime crumbled!!! Buhari knows quite well that he will never get the vote to rule this country again,he is so much of an irredentist,a bigot of the highest order,he is too myopic,ill-informed,crude,obsolete to rule a 21st century Nigeria. Buhari's mentality its so low,i suggest he shld be honoured with the title of grand khalif of Kastina,Jigawa and Kano may be included! |
barcanista:lol! |
If this is true then it is a welcome development,Oja as it is called in Igbo land,is traditionally known as a talking flute,it can communicate with the DEAD & the living,it passes message of great importance to real men who have ears!In the days of yore,'when men were men',great flutist are invited to inspire warriors during intra-communal or inter-ethnic wars!....but cant you see the man in the picture,he needs financial encouragement but he is not begging, rather he is offering his services to his beloved state.....anything coming from Obiano is acceptable!!! |
His yellow teeths may be as a result of many years of chewing kolanuts, equally known as gworo!....this politicians are funny and can go to any length to get at their percieved enemies but how come i have nt really noticed his bad yellow teeths,i only observe his eyes, which even some of his enemies tagged it 'frog eye'! Yes he is ugliness personified, agreed! but Politicians shld face facts and forget looks,Obanikoro shld tell Lagosians what he has in store for them and save us all this insults. |
...when will this madness stop!! |
Court sacks Pinnick and NFF Executive Committee The Amaju Pinnick led Nigeria Football Federation board has been shown the exit door by a Plateau state high court on Thursday Oct 23, 2014 17:53:00The Nigeria Football Federation board headed by Amaju Pinnick has been sacked by a Plateau state high court on Thursday. In granting the order, Justice Ambrose Allagoa said the NFF election conducted in Warri were direct flouting of the orders of the court granted on September 19, 2014 which directed that the NFF congress not to hold. "I have set aside all the proceedings and decisions of the Warri Extra Ordinary meeting of the 20th September and the Elective Congress of 30th September which were direct contravention of the orders of this court as granted on the 19th September,’ said Justice Allagoa. "Nobody should foist on the court a complete case of hopelessness so that the principles of law and justice can be upheld. "It’s not enough to say that the order of court was wrongly made, no matter how unorthodox, its subsisting orders, unless set aside, remains law and must be respected. "Defendants in this matter have not filed any counter affidavits in this court to contest the facts. There is neither motion nor Memorandum of Appearance. This is a court of Record. On this note, the court has no option to protect the integrity and sanctity of court. Court orders are not tea party. Nobody is above the law. Impunity must be stopped. Justice Allagoa has fixed November 25, 2014 for hearing of substantive matters in the case. www.goal.com |
I cant help but agree with the visionary Sheik!.....and anybody that knows Kaduna and Kastina very well, will tell you that the sheik is very influential and attracts mammoth followership. The implications of his open disapproval of the recalcitrant ex-junta is that even his home base is threatened and may even lose at home in general elections. |
...though one may argue that we are nt readily prepared for it and coming at a time when the elections are at hand. Then coupled with the Ebola scare,it may be difficult for Nigeria to host it but If GEJ who is quite use to attaining great heights in very short time, decides to host it,we will give him our full support and just like his efficiency in containing Ebola, also his leading Nigeria in becoming African largest economy and present taming of boko haram,i am never in doubt of his ability to achieve things nearly impossible. |
Nigeria 'interested' in hosting 2015 Afcon Seyi Akinwunmi, vice president of the NFF, has told Goal that the country has the capacity to host the Africa Cup of Nations if asked by CAF Oct 20, 2014 15:52:16 Nigeria could host the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations if Morocco pull out of staging the continent’s biggest football showpiece due to fears over the spread of the Ebola Virus Disease, according to Seyi Akinwunmi, vice president of the Nigeria Football Federation. While the north African country is mauling over the decision whether to pass up the opportunity to host the tournament, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has already written to a few countries including Ghana and Egypt to ask if they can host the Cup of Nations. Morocco asked CAF to postpone the tournament to a later date instead of its present January/February schedule but the governing body is not ready to. Nigeria could throw her hat in the ring to stage the tournament despite fears of the possibility of teams from Ebola-ravaged countries qualifying for the competition and bringing along their supporters. Africa’s largest country was certified Ebola-free by the World Health Organisation on Monday, six weeks after the last case of the disease was reported and this could prompt renewed interest from international organizations. “I think we are interested [in hosting the Afcon],” new NFF vice president Seyi Akinwunmi told Goal on Monday. “It is not strictly the purview of the NFF alone but we have been asked [if we can host the competition] and we have said yes, why not? “I think that the National Sports Commission or the Federal Government is looking at the possibility of hosting the tournament,” said Akinwunmi who disclosed that CAF had not yet written to Nigeria. South Africa have already turned down the opportunity to host the tournament with Safa president Danny Joordan saying: "The Afcon 2015 tournament will not be held here. That issue doesn't exist. Caf must discuss this matter with Morocco.” With the Super Eagles struggling to qualify for the 2015 tournament, hosting the competition would give them automatic qualification to defend the title they won in South Africa last year. It could also be a way for Nigeria to show its leadership role on the continent after successfully curtailing the spread of the disease, something for which it has already earned the praise of the international community. http://m.goal.com/x/en-ng/news/5302301 |
Tundeajani:Mr Tunde you are just like your intolerant APC masters, learn how to listen and dont be quick to words, appreciate the truth and only then you can be blessed with the grace of light...your attitude portrays the worst form of jingo patrotism i have seen and I guess the MODs you accussed are morally conscientious than you are!!! |
Tundeajani:This is the problem i have with the opposition, being in the opposition doesnt mean that one should constantly sell falsehood in other to put a point across.Never in the history of this country has the free-press enjoyed the kind of freedom experienced now, infact the 'presidents men' thinks the president is nt doing enough(by way of bribery or intimidation)to bring the media to his side like past regimes, but this could be as a result of GEJs appreciation of the tenet of democracy and of course, his educational attainment. Some of us has long stopped reading newspapers from a section of the western Nigerian press, where a particular party(APC) as backed by Tinubu has completely bought over the press and most news are edited by Lai Mohammed and other political mercenaries.Of particular mention is THE NEWS magazine,THE NATION newspaper et all....'remove the log in your eyes before removing the speck in another man's eyes'-THE BIBLE. |
Reski:...and now that Maliki has gone, what is happening in Iraq?even with US assisted air-strike,it is always a story of more people being beheaded or lost or gain of more territories by warring factions. What am trying to say is that extremist wars base on religious ideology is always very difficult squash because of sympathy from some interest! It needs time and continous aggression on the enemies and certainly, some day, they will be defeated. I agree with the Bishop where he said that christians are the main target, killed and churches are desecrated by the uncircumcised children of perdition. |
AIRDIG:......'life is a story told by id*ots, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing'!A situation that best describes the author of this ridiculous article. |

From Obi to Obiano,Anambra indeed is a blessed state....now that we have started harnessing our potentials towards creating a state that will serve as an harbinger of great things to come in Eastern Nigeria....God bless Anambra! God bless Ala igbo!! God bless Nigeria!!! |
'success has so many fathers, failure is an orphan'! Just everyone wants to key into the great things happening at the moment in Anambra state, regardless of party affiliations.....i honestly think that the greatest opposition to the ruling party is when opposition parties delivers dividends of democracy, rather than carrying out bitter propagandas and politics on the pages of Newspapers and in some instances, sponsoring insurgents just to discredit the ruling party. |
Anambra to Synergise with Agric Ministry to Boost Agriculture Published on Monday, 06 October 2014 13:39 By James Eze Following the soar away success that the government of Anambra State has so far recorded in attracting significant investments into the agricultural sector of the state, plans are underway for a high-level Townhall Meeting on agriculture to be hosted by the state government in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Agriculture. The planned meeting was one of the highlights of a close-door meeting that recently took place in Abuja, between the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Dr. Akinwunmi Adesina and a special delegation from Anambra State Ministry of Agriculture led by the governor of the state, Chief Willie Obiano. The meeting came on the heels of a string of Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) which the government of Anambra State recently signed with big time investors who are currently setting up shops in the food-belt of the state to commence large scale mechanized farming. Giving assurances of the Ministry’s readiness for the proposed Meeting, Dr. Adesina said, “we are going to have a special agricultural engagement in Anambra State. I will come with a strong team and we shall have high level deliberations on Agriculture.” According to him, the Federal Government has just approved an Agricultural Mechanization Scheme estimated at N50bn which would finally weed out the dependence on hoes and cutlasses by Nigerian farmers. The mechanization support grant will enable the farmers to hire tractors and engage in more modern farm practices. The Minister also declared that the Federal Government would fast-track the full realization of the proposed Staple Crops Processing Zone that has been designated for Omor in Ayamelum Local Government Area of the state, describing the Mill as very important to his ministry. Dr. Adesina also lauded Governor Obiano’s achievements in the past six months which he said had fully restored the confidence of the investment community, leading to the recent acquisition of the moribund Omor Rice Mill by Joseph Agro Limited and the planned investment of $150m to revamp the mill. Said he; “My Ministry is one of the first few places you visited when you were sworn in as governor of Anambra State. You are one governor that got it right. You came here to share your plans for the agricultural sector and I could see that you were very passionate to make an impact there. Your administration is moving at an incredible speed. I think it comes from your private sector background. I followed your efforts to provide security in Anambra State and I am happy that the benefits have started pouring in now.” The Minister also assured the readiness of the Ministry to partner with Anambra State in Aqua-culture, promising to lend critical support to governor Obiano’s plans to make the state a leader in the production of fish fingerlings in the country. Earlier in his opening remarks, governor Obiano had appealed for the assistance of the Minister to ensure that Anambra State is adopted by the ministry as one of the leading agricultural states in Nigeria. The governor further explained that his administration had set a target to make Anambra State the leading producer of fingerlings in West Africa. Outlining the achievements of his administration in the area of agriculture, governor Obiano maintained that with the inflow of investments into the sector, the state was well on its way to becoming the first agro-state in Nigeria. He also sought the assistance of the Minister to allow the state take over the Lower Anambra River Basin which had been lying fallow for a long time and integrate it into the overall master-plan of the proposed Omor Crop Processing Zone. www.elombah.com |
