kalohenic:A big congratulation brother. Your application was well "in reasonable light" . All the best! |
For those of us who by virtue of one reason or another had our application refused and intend to re-apply again, please, kindly order for your GCMS note. Honestly, knowing a visa officer's actual reason and conclusion on a refused application is always a better way to avoid another refusal on same grounds. It's quite understandable the urge to reapply as soon as the previous application is refused but in so doing, it's also VERY important we significantly address previous reason(s). In all it's appearance, the GCMS file is more like a report submitted by a visa officer to a computerized management system accessible by all visa officers worldwide and most likely will be the first point of call for another visa officer when reviewing a reapplication. Good enough, IRCC has made this 'report' accessible to applicants at a little cost. This should atleast tell us something, they want your reapplication to be an improvement of the previous. The generic reasons in a refusal letter are vague and doesn't completely guide towards a successful re-application. 9/10 your application will be refused again if you do not pay attention to the submission and concern of the visa officer and the only way to do this is to get your GCMS file. It is always better to come back stronger and better than to rush a reapplication because one is not patient enough or because we feel the reasons on the letter are summountable. The truth is that the ticked reason(s) is a covering of smaller reasons. Time and chance always have a way to present things to us in a better way. We should take advantage of it and not allow our emotions or anxiety get a grip of us when trying to take steps towards succeding on something and in this case, one that will give what we are desiring. Hopefully, we will have more goodnews of approvals. |
Idowu3080:The 'review of eligibility' status has shown that your application was refused for not meeting the requirements. So i don't think there is any thing completely different. I guess they are still structuring their website. |
Igbouwanile:Use your existing account to link your new application. It has nothing to do with the previous application aside being able to view previous history and decisions. As a matter of fact, your current account can be use for all CIC related immigration applications irrespective of each outcome. You can always use it for any category of canadian visa applications. |
@CaptainCanny, While reading your post i was lost in your term "Technicalities" and was wondering what it actually means in the light of the subject matter. All the same, i feel folks here have shared and given sufficient info regarding the 'Cameroun' issue same as your valid points too. It's actually left to the applicant to proceed however he/she deem reasonable. However, i'll be particulary interested in the outcome as it concerns 'Immigration status in country of residence' if the applicant will be kind enough to share with us should he/she apply from there with a visitor's visa. Regards. |
Emmane:Funds available should be the equivalent of a little in excess of your tuition plus 10,000CAD. Also use the official rate exchange rate. You can use that of oanda.com. |
EJIZY:Knowing if the 5M of your sponsor will be sufficient for you in addition to your available funds will also be dependent of a couple of factors. 1.Who the sponsor is and the level of relationship with you. (can see your mother is) 2. Sponsor's level of commitment both to you and other dependants. While your sponsor may have 5M for you, it MAY not be sufficient if that funds is the only available funds at this time. So a good thing to do is to transfer 3-3.5M or the 5M to you out of some excess of a greater amount. Something should be left for sponsor's other obligation(s). This make sense and can appeal as convincing to anybody and not just officers. She will have to prove her source of funds as well. If your program is more than a year, this source will hold water as to how she will generate further funds for your study. So make sure she provide evidence of her income source. |
williams552:Proceed with your application. There is NOTHIN like too early. God bless you too |
bbclue:This necessarily isn't about tomorrow. Helping in this context would mean reviewing an already written SOP, making corrections and giving suggestions. Plagiarism is a serious offence especially dealing with canadians and we should not encourage it. It doesn't matter whether a person is directly involved in it or not. We should not even aid it at any instance. If chances presents a VO the duty to go through different applicants' SOP with similar content then the case of help may not be considered. So while i actually relate with what you mean, one or two persons may not. So i think we should outrightly discourage it. The consequences are always grave. Regards. |
williams552:If you have all your documents ready, you can apply. |
iamMcVince:Since you didn't get a medical mail, i'm afraid your application is refused. |
vanod:Easy bro. He probably isn't well informed. Doesn't negate his personality or his opinion. Atleast corrections have been made. |
jnyuwa02:Bro/sis, for the sake of others that will be reading this later, i had to make this point. Just as @Maziude ,@mcobex have mentioned. Legal resident status here also mean a place where you have a strong tie with. Such ties must have you engaged in your resident country. A visitor's visa won't give you such resident status. Work ,study visas or a permanent resident does give such status. IRCC website and the visa office of each country stipulates that foreigners applying from such country must hold a valid temporal permits or a permanent resident permit. (check their website and applicable visa office instructions). You cannot go to Cameroon with a visitor's visa and apply for a study permit. You do not have any tie with cameroun that will give you resident rights(Temporary/permanent) other than visiting. Your application will be thrown out immediately you apply there with a visitor's visa. Forget the long processing times you see, majority of the study permit are processed WITHIN this time frame. We still have exceptions still but averagely, applications do not extend throughout that duration. So prepare your application and apply NOW that you still have some time. Regards. |
mostblackroad:Firstly, i'll like to commend you on how you presented your profile. It shows you've been doing well reading previous posts and hence it is easy to help you further. Weldone. Now to your case, you seem to have been doing something useful with yourself since you left secondary school through your work experience which should give you a good chance. However, i'll advice you also write a good statement of purpose explaining all you've been doing, things you were able to achieve during these periods and things you hope to achieve after completing your intended program. The idea of the SOP is to further point to the Visa officer that in as much as you were unable to complete your previous undergrad study, you were still very useful, adding value and because of the limitation in your academic achievements, you have taken the bold step to see that you get your degree and a very competitive one hence your choice of going to canada to study. Use your work experience in the south african company to your advantage. That you were able to work in diversity, learned different work concept with international standards and you need a internationally recognized degree to be able to meet global challenges in your field of study. You can as well pick an area that you hope to do further research in to bring ease to humanity. Anything as convincing as posssible will make your case more deliberate that situational. Your travel history is good too but the onus of getting a very good chance will lie on how your have made your purpose of visit precise to officers. I also believe you have good hometie in your immediate family members being in nigeria. Regards. |
RealObserver:I get the picture. Apparently, he/she is not very conversant with the trend. I'm also guessing he meant the successful upfront medical examination not knowing that CIC will still review the result and update it. Good you brought it forward to be cleared. |
RealObserver:Possibly a reapplication or PA took the success of the upfront medical as passed. ![]() |
ifeezike:To chance DLI in this context, it has to be with a new application as the one submitted already will be used to process and make a final decision. Notwithstanding, if the already submitted application is approved, your friend can change to his/her preferred school as long as it meets the conditions on the study permit. So it's either your friend withdraw the previous application and reapply with the new one or be hopefull the submitted one is approved. |
Idowu3080:Oops. Sorry about the news. If you applied online, the refusal letter will be included in the correspondence area of your account. Same thing applies if you applied through paper route and linked it online. However, the letter will still be included when your passport is returned to you. (paper route). |
Gracee101:The main essence of statement of account is to show that tuition +10,000CAD are available and also that applicant can generate enough to meet subsequent years. If your cousin intend studying in canada, his SOA must meet this requirement or atleast the sponsor's statement must meet the requirement. Concerning you, if you are able to convince officers regarding what you have been doing prior to your intended undergraduate program, then you MAY have a chance. The burden to make your case convincing will be greater on your part. Totally up to you. |
ohizzyy7:You can't do medicals after submitting your application. You have to wait for an instruction from the embassy. They will generate an IME(immigration medical examination) code for the hospital to use. Wait till you are instructed to proceed for one. |
123bio456:You just have to wait for them to get back to you. Your case involves mis-representation and often times applicants involved in it are culpable and served with a ban from entering canada. If your responses were good enough, they could soft-pedal on the purnishment. So just wait for them. They will surely get back to you. |
Folumade1:Create Mycic account if you don't have one already, on your profile, click on "Link existing application" select category as Temporary residence and subcategory as Study permit and extension. Select Family name, given name and date of birth option. Fill your family name(surname), given name and date of birth, fill passport information. Fill program start and end date as well as DLI number of the institution (found in offer letter). Your application will be found and linked. |
josafunmi:Your chances of getting a study permit with your intended program will be really tough to be honest with you. But if you really can justify why you want to study the program, they MAY consider your case differently. But sincerely, your profile doesn't look likely. Do you have some work experience in hospitality? |
chybaz:Don't let this be your worry. CIC wiłl definitely issue a visa that will cover the duration of your program if your passport duration covers the period. If it doesn't, a visa till the passport expiration will be issued when your application is approved 6 terms is also categorized under the two years master degree program. They understand their educational system better and will act accordingly. So relax. |
amnotapervert:Online through your acount. |
amnotapervert:Be expecting a medical request. The previous one is expired. The medical status on your new application means that they have not gotten to the point where the require you to complete a medical examination and since you didn't do an upfront medical, be expectant. |
wealth360:He should contact CIC and inform them about the non inclusion of the photocopy. The hospital will need the data page of his passport(stamped by the embassy)alongside the medical request letter to proceed with the medical. So let him email the embassy. |
chybaz:Most visas(TRV) issued often times last for the duration of your program as filled in your study permit application. It also cannot be issued beyond the expiration of your passport. So there is no standard rule or duration to visa issuance. It is solely for your entry and exit during your study period. You can always extend it. Your study permit duration is the main document. Extension of your TRV too will be dependent on your study permit duration. |
CanadianNurse:Depending on what the bank will write on the letter, if the available amount is stated and meets the requirements of IRCC, then i doubt there will be any issue. What you submit to the embassy will be used to make a final decision. Your main concern is to make sure any evidence in response to the request of the embassy meet the requirement of the IRCC act of sufficient funds for your first year. However you choose to do this is totally up to you. Include the evidence of the tuition payment and evidence of the new dom account in addition to the reference/assurance letter for the dollar account since the SOA you submitted had funds in naira. But then, If you were requested to pay your first year tuition, make sure you pay first before you revert back to them with assurance of living expenses fund also meeting the 10,000CAD required. Just do as you've been instructed. |
williams552:The age on your international passport will be used as your real age. If there is any discrepancy as mentioned in these documents, get an affidavit and other documents showing your real age, referencing the mistake and a birth certificate showing your relationship with your late father and if possible, the death certificate as well as all financial documents to show the fixed deposit is on deposit and will mature before you begin study. Once the embassy is satisfied with your claims, they should request for the letter of assurances of fund transferability to canada. CBN will have no business with you as long as your bank can clear the issue and request forex on your behalf. So while you go ahead submitting your application, do well to clear the issue with the bank you have the fixed deposit with. That should be your only concern and not CBN. |
Andyosifo:I doubt the embassy will respond to such request. Besides, what information do you need from them that you do not already have? You filled your application and added all supporting documents. Go through them for any information you need or better still, request for your GCMS file, you will get all personal details and other useful information concerning your previous application in doing so. |
