Next season Akwa Utd will win again. After next season, Rivers Utd will win again while Akwa Utd will be warming up. South-south teams be turning NPFL into farmers league while kano pillars and co are busy paying fines for rules violation. This i have seen.

I will say it again, wike is a baby politician where okowa is both at the state and national level. Am sure you are one of those who believe that the decision to pick kowa was reached last week. The VP arrangement wey dem don cook since last year when wike still dey busy dey sponsor parallel excos for states. Soon you go say wike is bigger than Atiku because Atiku nor dey talk.

Okowa has more electoral value than wike. A delegate election is different from a general election my brother. In the delegate election, a few persons represent everyone while in the general election the sins of your fathers and his fathers before him will be used to sway the minds of voters after all nor be only him get money to spend. Okowa also has oil money to put on the table too. The battle will not be about money at that point but value, respect and acceptability. In the south which we all call wikes fortress, he doesn't have states like Anambra, Edo, Delta, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom, cross river and imo with him. So where is the so-called stronghold for gov wike in the south. Maybe ebonyi, Enugu and Abia.

Udom Emmanuel would have been Atiku's best option but Atiku was trying to play smart by picking Okowa a Delta Igbo to split Peter Obi's vote because Atiku knows he really need SE and SS vote.


If he chose Udom Emmanuel, that would have been far better for him

sincerely speaking their is no presence of APC in river state, people here hate the name Tinubu, the kind of political followership down south is different from the one practice by the westerners.

That cult followership of someone is not here. No matter how most of you view wike popularity outside river state is not same here.

It will be stupid of wike to work against a more assured victory of PDP in the presidential election than a pipe dream of Tinubu.

i live in rivers state, i don't know where wike love is coming from, river state is PDP loaded, as good as tonye cole candidate looks like ,the support of PDP in the state is making it looks like PDP will win the state irrespective of who is in charge.

The igbos formed the major support base of wike ,so if you in agreement that the igbos supporters have left him ,that means is finished, Bayelsa delegates gave him zero votes, just incase you forget, ijaws don't support someone without benefit, same with his ikwere brothers.

His genuine support group have left him, those shouting his name now are the ones that were personally involved.

Wike is a money bag whose test of popularity (albeit overhyped) in the South South revolves ONLY around Rivers state money and nothing more, that's why he got little to no solidarity from South South governors and other major stakeholders in the region when he lost out to Atiku on the party ticket (that should tell you something). We are talking about a man who fought and insulted next to everybody of high repute in the South South including political heavyweights within the region who would have had his back, right now Wike is boxed into a corner like a squeamish little fighter with no punch left in him, he has no solid political foundation in the South South, he has no friends or allies among his South South colleagues, the man is just living on borrowed time until his tenure ends. So even if he strikes some imaginary deal with Tinubu, the Wike of today isn't even powerful enough to deliver a 25% vote in his own Rivers state, not to talk of the whole South South...the quiet but deadly strong man of the South South is actually Ifeanyi Okowa, if you doubt me, go and ask anybody who is familiar with South South politics.

Far better than Wike. All those wanting Wike as VP nominee wants Atiku to lose. Wike is dangerous, loquacious, mean and everything evil. Aside Rivers, no one else would vote for a Wike Ticket

This much is known. Atiku/Okowa appeases the Igbos who has been neglected by the other main political party, APC. This ticket ensures Igbo representation at a critical time a civil war is looming from their continual neglect. There is no way a sane SOUTH SOUTH and South East person would rather vote for a Muslim Muslim SW/North West ticket

With this ticket Atiku would sweep SS, SE, NE, NC and do well in NW. I cant see him losing this to APC's SW and NW
