Yes Fashola would have won without rigging. His main opponent was Obanikoro of the pdp and the only time Obanikoro would be governor of Lagos state, is by massive rigging.
Sometimes elections are lost not won. |

Rather than vote GEJ or Buhari in next presidential elections, i would cast my vote for someone else (read random person ). Its 2014, the likes of GEJ and Buhari should have no business contesting our presidential elections and the only way to make the political parties know is if the youths do something unpredictable in the elections. The other choice for me is to abstain but that makes no sense. |

Mogidi: You expect Tinubu to tell you of his conviction, how old are you? No i expect the person accusing Tinubu of being a convict to come with evidence not a piece of paper that any business center can reproduce in a minute. Just in case you don't know, under the civil forfeiture law, the seized item is the guilty party not the owner of the said item. |

Mogidi: Has Tinubu ever denied his conviction in the US? If theirs another e Bola Ahmed Tinubu please produce him else spin me a new line. Has Tinubu ever told you he was convicted before? Unless you can categorically say there is only one Bola Tinubu in the whole world, the document you put up there is thrash. Get a lawyer, he would explain better to you. |

Mogidi: Tinubu was a renowned drug trafficker in the US in the 80s. Many drug addicts still remembers how cheap drugs were when Tinubu ruled the roost. He flooded the US drug market so much that a gramme of coke was as little as $5.
Here's a copy of his conviction. Are you saying there is only one Bola Tinubu in the whole world? |

mobolaji88: yea, you are right on that one sire...seems this is the only reason we python coders seem to be left with..debugging python is truely easier. But, lets look at the health of algorithms in general, longer codes means more statement logics, more tokens to seperates and evitably more bytecode to analyse and execute! Also, i find that python is killing ease and code writing style democracy...thus turning programming from fun & creativity to just creativity. . The only reason why i stil use java over python is the freedom of code writin style(even though java may b a pain in d a$s smtims) I don't get the highlighted part. There is only one style for writing java (oop). Also with modern IDE's, code formatting is no longer an issue. You should try pycharm if you haven't already. |

In my opinion, the indentation is part of what makes python what it is.
Try maintaining badly formatted legacy code in Java and you'll appreciate python's indentation. |

At least I'm judging based on plagiarism, what should we say about you who judges someone based on the amount of money he has? If you had your way, you'd probably kill all poor people. This is an excerpt of what you wrote. " The guy who is leading the attack, what is he known for? has he built any solid reputation or business that is well patronised? how much money has he made from blogging since he started his venture?" To you, it doesn't matter if Linda stole his work or not, he is a hater because he might be poor and lesser known people have no right to seek justice or complain. |

Sincere9gerian: APC's Liar Muhammed was quick to issue press a statement criticizing the military and Nigerian govt when some of our solders fighting Boko Haram had some challenge that made them make a tactical manoeuvre into Cameroon.
So how come we've not heard any word of commendation or support from APC's Liar Muhammed for the Nigerian military for the successes recorded in the war on Boko Haram in the past 3 weeks?
Why is APC quick to condemn but slow to commend even on an issue that bother on national security and the safety of Nigerians?
These are some of the reasons why most Nigerians hold the opinion that Boko Haram is the armed wing of APC while APC is the political wing of Boko Haram.
APC plus BokoHaram equals twin EVIL of monumental proportion with cataclysmic consequence Why should you "commend" someone for doing what they are paid to do? |

BlackTechnology: It doesn't cost so much money when you start small
Aeronautic workshops cost billions today but started small in the beginning by the wright brothers
Most products you used today were discovered in one small unknown workshops/labs
Rockefeller built his first refinery with $4000 but died building refineries worth billions
Do not be frightened by today's huge cost but be encouraged by yesterday's small cost
A journey of a thousand miles start with a step What do you mean by start small? Build a car engine from scratch or fill up the labs with pentium 1 systems? Building a "small" research center is expensive. The company that produced ZMapp has only 14 staffs but i'm pretty sure their research facility runs into millions of dollars. |
Politics › Re: Debt Profile: Fashola Justifies N160bn State’s Debt by AZeD1(m): 10:45am On Sep 11, 2014 |
iwonbaoko: Firstly one man's frivolity is another man priority . Or is there an agreed definition of frivolity? I digress. I was hoping to get some "analysis" but your offering is disappointing. You now introduce another word; "sustainable" what does this mean in the context of Lagos state and our discussion here. These are just words "bad, unsustainable etc" very often people have very strong opinions but cannot put together any coherent or meaningful logical underpinning for these. The money "has to be gotten(sic) from somewhere" .
The real issue is how is it going to be repaid. How much can Lagos state afford to pay each mont NOW based on its current "Liabilities" profile and so how long will it take to pay ? That is the quality of debate I expect to have not throwing nebulous and meaningless terminologies aroun In regards to Lagos state, frivolities means recurrent expenditure as for sustainability, its debt to GDP ratio. Has the money borrowed created jobs and improved the economy or has it being carted away? For analysis, 1) Lagos state and Nigeria in general has a big deficit infrastructure and that has to be corrected. 2) The government has limited finances so it has to plan and prioritize. 3) Capital projects are expensive and cannot be financed from the states purse so you need to get someone to finance (loan) and you pay later. 4) When you borrow, you structure the repayments based on your current and future earning potentials. I can't tell you exactly how the Lagos state government structured their repayments but the basic idea is good infrastructure will bring in more revenue and the extra revenue would be used to pay off the loan. Obviously there are risks involved and they would have been taken into consideration. |

iwonbaoko: I don't know whether it is good or bad. I do not necessarily support it but I think we must establish the facts first and that is why I have taken issue with some critics here simply on facts .As far as opinions go what do you mean by "a state like Lagos" and what do you mean by "bad" at what point does debt become "bad" what are your bases for determining this? Bad debt is unsustainable debt or debt that was used for frivolities. If we use the figures branded around here (N40 billion) as the monthly income of Lagos state, then the State government has about N4000 to spend on each resident of the state(population 10 million). Now what can N4000 do monthly? We have also not paid salaries of the workers or considered the liabilities of the state. This money has to be gotten from somewhere and you also have to realize that while the state government has to pay salaries at a certain time, you are not guaranteed the exact time it will get it allocations. |

The level of ignorance on this thread is alarming and the sad part is most of the people commenting have no idea of finance. A debt of N160 billion for a state like Lagos is not bad. |
