Sincere 9gerian: Did you even read the letter? If you haven't, pls go and read the letter.
We have read the letter and there is no part of the letter that talks about the problems facing the country. So how does it affect Nigerians?

Whether Iyabo wrote the letter or not, how does that change the fact that GEJ has not responded to any of the issues raised by Obansanjo?

What ever happens in the Obansanjo family is non of our business.

There is a reason why the director said only DPR can provide the authentic oil production data.

taharqa: lol... So NNPC 'diverting' $49.5billion of its Crude Oil sales from d Federation Account, koo? I thought I even saw $49million initiali. So how much does Nigeria make in Sales of Crude Oil in a year or two, esp since they 'remitted' $15billion to d Federation Account according to this account?? And there was still money to run budgets- FG, States and LGAs??.... Abeg, make people learn how to talk lie well
Denying the story and forming smart like you did here?

If you weren't sure, why d helll did not bring such a grave accusation to a forum where there are lots of Non-Nigerians reading? If sm persons didn't demand for sm answers, wud you hv made the clarifications you just made? Why didn't you add these clarifications (DOUBTS) to your opening OP if you were not a DISHONEST person...... EWUDAN

Politics › Re: Goodluck Jonathan: The Many Battles Of A President From Minority Tribe by AZeD1(m): 10:16pm On Dec 08, 2013
Sincere 9gerian: You and I know that Vice Presidents, just like deputy governors, are powerless spare tires.

The process of producing that agreement actually started in 2006 or so under OBJ govt. Oby Ezekwesili was the minister of education that set up the committee that produced the agreement. There was no govt person in that committee, she only nominated people outside govt to represent govt. More like you sending people who do not work in your company and who knows nothing about the inner workings of your company to go negotiate on behalf of your company. That was a fatal error. That was why the agreement mentioned some ridiculous sums of money.
GEJ was part of that agreement. He became president in 2010 and had 3 years to do something about that agreement. That VP's and deputies are spare tires won't cut it this time around.
One of the traits of a good leader, is convincing your followers (detractors including) to buy into your dream. This your post as well as GEJ continuous excuses points to the fact that GEJ is not a good leader.
Politics › Re: Goodluck Jonathan: The Many Battles Of A President From Minority Tribe by AZeD1(m): 9:34pm On Dec 08, 2013
Sincere 9gerian: I read through your post to look for the lie you accused me of but I couldn't find any.

ASUU has been going on strike in the past but there is a difference between a govt that ignored ASUU strike and a govt the had made atleast 3 levels of interventions and offer towards ending the strike but ASUU remained unyielding.

The challenges the president is faced with as highlighted in my post is not an excuse for failure. I and many others have also created threads about PROGRESS being recorded by the govt but my POINT on this thread which should not be lost is that as a nation we can do without these distractions and without these distractions, we'll see faster development. Faster development is to the benefit of ALL of us.
GEJ was part of the government that failed to honour the 2009 agreement. Why should he be trusted to honour an agreement now?

As for the lie, You make it out as if ASUU is on strike because GEJ is president.
Politics › Re: Goodluck Jonathan: The Many Battles Of A President From Minority Tribe by AZeD1(m): 9:02pm On Dec 08, 2013
No matter how many times you scream a lie, it would never become the truth.

1) Boko haram started in Yar' Adua's time. Its unfortunate Goodluck has to deal with them but no one forced him to be president. He made that decision on his own. He should 'man up' and stop lamenting.
2) Everywhere there has been a terrorist attack, the leaders in those places talk tough and promise to fish out the perpetrators but own so called president told the nation to deal with it that it happens in other places too.
3) The same president with his own mouth said members of boko haram are part of his government and what has he done to them?
4) Gej problem with the 7 governors is a pdp wahala and Gej can fight it any how he wants legally, its not the Nations problem.
5) Gej problem with the 7 governors arouse from his greed. ***In 2007, the presidency was zoned to the north and they did not use their tenure complete before Gej interrupted. He chose to abandon the pdp zoning formula in 2011 and he should bear the consequence.
6) In 2003, ASUU went on strike for 6 months. OBJ did not claim it was political. As a matter of fact, every Nigerian president has dealt with ASUU one way or another with Abdusalami being the only exception so what are you shouting about?
7) If you are crying that its only GEJ that ASUU wants to release money before they resume, then you should remember that it was GEJ who brokered the 2009 agreement in which they are fighting for. If GEJ has refused to honour an agreement he was part of in 2009, why should anybody trust he would honour the one he does in 2013? The saying "fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me" aptly applies to this scenario.

In summary, leaders lead so GEJ should start leading and so buck passing.

** I abhor any form of zoning agreement.

Politics › Re: Onitsha International Airport? by AZeD1(m): 11:02pm On Dec 06, 2013
when ojukwu was sick, the fact that enugu international airport was close by helped his quick evacuation to treatment overseas
most international business people would want such quick in and out access
the SE has lagged other regions in international investment mainly because of that
If the Airport money was used to build a good hospital would there have been any need to fly Ojukwu for treatment? Now Ojukwu is one person. Think of the millions of people who cannot afford to be flown out?
no, you don't understand, probably because you have never moved anywhere in the world
if you have, the first question you ask yourself before going there is "how fast can i get out of there?"
most investors ask that question before going to any country
any region that has international airport access, has faster access to foreign investors
and even foreign ideas that transform cities and countries
Asaba is 30 minutes in a car, it would be 10 with high speed rail.

Wall street is 32 minutes from JFK airport same time from Asaba to Onitsha. You want to tell me why a state should spend scarce resources on something it doesn't really need?
Politics › Re: Onitsha International Airport? by AZeD1(m): 10:32pm On Dec 06, 2013
it is a lie to say that nobody moves to a city because of an airport -an international airport yes they do!
yeah the only people that move are those that work in the airport.

PS: The majority of the Oil in Nigeria is in the Niger Delta but the expatriates are more in Lagos
Politics › Re: Onitsha International Airport? by AZeD1(m): 10:31pm On Dec 06, 2013
you are assuming that Asaba is an international airport, not a local one
because i would take an international airport anyday over any infrastructure
you need international access to bring world class development to any city
Just to disprove the bold part, Ikeja is closer to the airport in Lagos than Ikoyi/Lekki and VI and those places are more than 30 minutes away from the airport but hasn't made the 'rich' people move in Lagos move to Ikeja.
Politics › Re: Onitsha International Airport? by AZeD1(m): 10:27pm On Dec 06, 2013
Oh and for the record, the money spent in building Asaba, Jigawa, Gombe and all those useless airports and stadium would have built world class hospitals/ infrastructures which would have greatly benefited the various states more than this airport will ever do.

PS: Nobody moves to city because of an airport but people move because of access to quality health care, education, security et al.
Politics › Re: Onitsha International Airport? by AZeD1(m): 10:20pm On Dec 06, 2013
Its funny how people think building an airport or stadium translates to development. Anambra does not need an airport nor a stadium. Nigeria is under developed because people do business with emotions and not their brains.
Several points i'd like to state here
1) A good intra city transportation network will develop Anambra state and any other state in Nigeria than an airport would.
2) No airport is Nigeria would survive without government funding which adds to our very large recurrent expenditure.
3) Locally, MMA2 is the busiest airport and it has not recorded a profit yet. Remember it is private owned so there's no government bureaucracy. That's the reason why Bi-courtney is in court against the opening of the general aviation terminal.
4)Recent report in the US shows 45% percent of Airport revenue is generated from non aeronautical services. In Nigeria, you can scale down that to less than 10%.

In a nutshell, i'd rather land in Asaba and drive 30 minutes to do business in a well planned and constructed city than land in Anambra and do business in a city with terrible infrastructure.

ROSSIKE: Where did GEJ preach hate and divisive politics? Some of you guys really have problems. Last picture I saw of GEJ he was donning a full Babariga with cap on his visit to the Emir of Kano.
How come the level of trbalism in Nigeria right now is at the highest level ever? Or you think its a coincidence?
Politics › Re: President Jonathan Is Our Mandela ~ Doyin Okupe (on AIT) December 6, 2013 by AZeD1(m): 4:53pm On Dec 06, 2013
ROSSIKE: Yes, he is our Mandela. You don't need to be jailed for 27 years to be a 'Mandela'. Which other Nigerian president has expanded agriculture, fixed the railway, remodelled 22 airports, repaired thousands of miles of federal roads, transformed the power sector, banking sector, telecoms, construction etc, all within a space of 2 years? He is even better than Mandela sef.
Mandela is considered great because he transformed South Africa economically or otherwise, he is considered great because he did not preach hate or divisive politics also known as 'he is our brother' mentality.
GEJ and Mandela in the same sentence is blasphemy and treason.

Stopping at Ojota is your best bet. From Ojota board a bus going to Ikeja/under bridge and drop at cantonment. At cantonment, ask for charms city. If you still have to come from Akoka, still look for bus going to Ikeja-under bridge or one going to Maryland.
