Romance › Re: Ladies: Any Man Who Doesn’t Know These 7 Things About You, Will Never Marry You! by AZeD1(m): 1:11pm On Dec 22, 2016 |
dingbang: Marry you – Guys need to know a lot before they marry you.Guys are weird when it comes to marriage, and from what they tell me, it’s all about timing. But I’m not so sure it is. When it comes to popping the question, guys often treat marriage like an investment — and that means they do due diligence. So here are 7 good things men check out in a lady before proposing.
1. He needs to know he’s ready to actually make the leap to a long-term commitment.
Unfortunately, timing is an issue. If he feels he’s not at the right time of his life, he’s not going to propose. You can’t force his hand, either. Usually, guys decide they’re ready when they’re financially stable and realizing that the singles scene sucks. So what about guys who got married because the lady got pregnant? dingbang: 2. He needs to know you’d be a good wife.
He wants someone who would be presentable around family and who might make a good mother for his kids. He wants to know that you won’t turn into a shrieking harpy once the ring is on, and that you will be willing to do your part to keep him proud. You should visit the family section often or talk to counsellors to know how moot this point is. dingbang: 3. He needs to know you’re responsible.
Marriage is a legal contract, and that means that it will have serious consequences in his financial realm. What most guys fear is that they’ll marry a woman who will drive them into bankruptcy through bad spending habits, refuse to do housework while they stay at home, and basically just act like an overgrown, selfish kid. They don’t want that! They want an adult who will actually contribute, and they won’t marry someone who doesn’t fit that bill. See my post on trophy wives below. dingbang: 4. He needs to know that he can lose you if he doesn’t marry you
I’m a firm believer that men need a kick in the rear before they will propose. If you keep giving them the idea that a life without marriage is fine, they won’t marry you because they’re already enjoying the gravy train without it. If he gets the idea that you’ll be with him regardless, he won’t pop the question. Same as above. dingbang: 5. He needs to know that he’s in a good financial position.
Most guys won’t marry if they are dirt poor, even though money doesn’t have to do anything with love. For them, it’s often a pride thing. If he’s broke or his income isn’t stable, he won’t feel ready to marry. Minimum wage is 18k and there are lots of guys who don't even earn up to the minimum wage and they are married. Heck some people get married without jobs.. dingbang: 6. He needs to know he can trust you to stay loyal.
Simply put, guys don’t take well to cheating. In fact, they take to it even worse than women do. If they feel like you wouldn’t be able to keep it in your pants, they will not marry you — ever. What about guys who get married to prostitutes? Or guys who caught their ladies cheating but still went ahead with the marriage? dingbang: 7. And, obviously, he needs to know that you have the same long-term goals as him.
It makes no sense to marry a woman who wants everything you hate in life. This would basically be the same as shooting yourself in the foot. Guys know this, and they will only pop the question to a woman who will work with their life plan. What about those who just want a trophy wife? you think they a give a F*&k about long term goals? Can peope stop coming up with stuffs like this? About 3 billion men and you think you can get a consensus on something as mundane as marriage? |

Almand: dubbing Chinese films into local languages will not and is not killing local films. what is killing and will eventually bury local film is the poor content and stupid pediatric that characterizes local films You are right, rather than kill local films, it would create jobs for local translators. Watching Chinese/ Indian films does not stop one from watching Nigerian films. |

The Federal government should have no business in primary health care. States are more importantly LGA's should be in charge of healthcare in their domains. We need to stop this "one shoe fits all" approach. |
Politics › Re: Anambra State Govt To Jump-start The Onitsha Inland Port by AZeD1(m): 12:23am On Dec 20, 2016 |
Newmanluckyman: ... I quiet understand your line of argument or your concerns but I want you to see it this way :the proposed airport in Anambra state isn't just for fun but to serve as a revenue generating machine for the state government. How? This is because other commercial aircrafts will be flying to the umuleri airport for refueling. Presently, no airport in Nigeria renders such services.Secondly, it will serve as a cargo airport for exportation of goods abroad. This will undoubtedly help to boost Anambra state revenue base. It is on this premise and its business opportunity that I supports this laudable project from Obiano. Great vision, great ambition. 1) Airport profitably, is based on number of flights. Right now, there's no airport in Nigeria that is profitable. 2) You don't compete with your neighbours, you complement them. There's an airport in Enugu which is underutilised, there's also one in IMO, which is also underutilised. Has anyone tried to find out why they are underutilised? You can also count the airport at Asaba and PH as competing airports. That would make 5 airports competing against each other as against the one in the South West and one in the North. 3) Ogun state is the manufacturing capital of Nigeria and has gotten the largest FDI in that aspect because it is close to Lagos not because Ogun state has an airport. This could have been replicated by the coming of the SE states to build high speed train that would hit all the SE states capital in 20 minutes from the Enugu airport. 4) Just before the opening ceremony of the 2012 Olympics, there was a forum for business men and some Nigerian governors were there. The 3 South East governors gave competing presentations because they wanted to woo the investors, Lagos and Ogun gave complimenting presentations (Fly into Lagos, build your adminstrative office in the highbrow VI, build your factory in Ogun were we have land). The South East states should be working together, not fighting against each other. |

investnow2013: The Airport project is a Private Partnership in which Anambra State equity is Land and the 4 Lane Super highway that is ongoing!!! It's not about private partnership, out about using scarce resources for the good of the people. An intercity train service would have been better as it would serve the who of Anambra. |

kettykin: Please find out how many Airports are in one state in the United States of America like California then come back and argue.
Anambra having it's own state will be the best that would happen to it. The time Sam mbakwe started Imo airport despite the presence of Enugu airport the same sentiments were raised but today Imo airport is the 5th busiest airport in Nigeria and one of the best state airports although being managed by federal government. California by landmass is bigger than the whole of Nigeria. If it was country it would have the 7th largest economy in the world. Still want to compare Anambra and California? By the way, how has the airport improved IMO state? Do you know any investor that invested in IMO state because it has an airport? |

kettykin: Anambra needs both an airport and a sea port, it is good for every state in the south east to have international airports while states that have river to seas should have ports.
The idea of a state using the airport of neighbors is very poor idea This is the reason why Africa is backwards and frankly it's a very dumb idea. We should be spending scarce resources on projects that affects the populace not white elephants project like airports. The beauty of Europe/London is the movement of people via trains. |

UuzbaGuuzba: They have a similar site in UK. In fact, I'm sure that's what we copied. The UK site does warn you to only check your own number plate and not other's. I think they can get you PC IP address if you start messing up and land you in court with evidence. I doubt if they(LASG) would bother to check if people abuse the site and with the rate of Kidnapping, you sure don't want to start giving people's information out like that. |
Car Talk › Re: Lagos State Launches New Website To Verify Vehicle Number Plates.. by AZeD1(m): 12:22pm On Dec 19, 2016 |
blackberlin: I think it's a good idea but one thing they didn't consider is information security. I just googled up a number plate for a Nigerian used car and guess what, I know the person's full name. This means that once you want to know somebody's name, the only thing you need to know is the car's number plate. . . Let's hope scammers, fraudsters and terrorists won't start taking advantage of this.
Only authorized personnel like Traffic Police, LASTMA, FRSC and VIO should have access to that portal.
Even the Nigerian Army and other security outfits in the country do not consider this. Anyone can download the list of newly recruited soldiers in the Nigerian military. . . Na wa o! They didn't think it through. |

There's a pic with an "X" marked on the house, that means that house is/was faulty (no build permit, wrong location etc).
Nobody would ever know the truth but I believe it would be something like Government marks the house for demolition, a government official tells the people he can help them if they are willing to drop money which they do, government comes with bulldozers and the people feel cheated because they have been scammed and are about to lose their houses.
I feel for them though. |

For those investing in Bitcoin, please note that there's a limit to the total number of bitcoins that can be mined. I think 4 million(not too sure.) |

To so called money the NFF is withholding came from the FG. The money came from the FG because the FG decided to intervene. NFF like MDA's? Seriously? Who appoints the head of NFF and who appoints the heads of MDA's? |

If PMB calls Pinic or whatever tonight, he will pay those girls their money first thing tomorrow morning. NFF is not part of the government, it's a separate entity. If Buhari calls the owners of companies owing workers, they'll pay immediately, it doesn't make those companies part of the government does it? |

intrepid: COLLECT WHAT NA?
Anybody asking them to collect the money is very ignorant or hypocritical and isn't even Patriotic.
The government should learn to respect their hero's. This attitude is what makes many people to not want to suffer for the country because government will not remember you ESPECIALLY If you are NOT from the north.
Check out the names of all the players and see if anyone was from the north.
Now, what do you think would have been the story if you found that this team consists of Zainabs, Asisats, Zahras, and fatimans or Aishas?
They should go to the streets.
Remember, it might be your turn tomorrow and they'd refuse to any you. Only then will you understand what is actually happening in Nigeria The government does owe them nada. Their business is with the NFF ( NFF is different from the government). The government has done it's best by helping the NFF. |
