kenny1st: This guy doesn't understand himself, his words are contradicting and must he talk. In summary, and according to what I read above, you are blaming one government for fighting terrorist yet you are condemning the other for waging war against the them. If you happened to be the president, would you keep watching some bastards destroying public properties, those crucial properties that took years to put in place and gulp so much money? Destroying these public assets is like dragging the country backward in terms of development. And all these could have been prevented if they had agreed with the government on the round table discussion. All they want as their request is pointed to disintegration of this great nation. If FFK happened to be the president would he have agreed to their terms? One crate for you. FFK supports a guy who would have no mercy on terrorist but condemns the President who is planning military action against terrorist. |

It's funny that the people calling Buhari a dullard are dullards themselves. chigoizie7: This same dangote refinery that PMB admin is banking on to stabilise the inflow and outflow of fx for the betterment of the entire economy? Oga, the govt has no business in doing business, all they do all over the world is create an enabling environment and make policies and rules so that the private sectors can thrive, they are the highest employer of labour, highest producers, highest service rendering, just name it. If he thinks private sectors are selfish, he could use his office as the president to make rules that will favour the economy @large and not side lining this economic drivers The role of the economic management team is policy making. Having private people in the team gives them an unfair advantage. E.g putting Dangote in the economic management team means that he would have first hand information/input on any policy relating to cement and would therefore position his factories to reap the benefits. There's a reason why Ibeto and Bua can't compete with Dangote. |

Shallow economic policies. Milking the masses dry and letting the looters go free. The average Nigerian can now longer afford to cook meals with ordinary kerosene stove. Politics › Re: Lagos Ban: Twitter User Claps Back Ezekwesili by AZeD1(m): 3:56pm On Jul 07, 2016 |
freeze001: The bolded parts in ur post are conveniently reserved as exclusive powers and functions of the FG by d constitution. That is how the 'owners of Nigeria' fashioned Nigeria to keep other regions tied to d slow n selective movement of the unitary govt we operate.
Why do u think d cry for restructuring constantly rents d air and punctuates every national discourse? Why do u also think that all Mr President has to offer is that tired and deceptive line of the unity of Nigeria being non-negotiable? Tell me how decentralising power to d regions for more autonomy affects unity! What now informs his feverish installation of strictly northern and islamic faithfuls in all sensitive areas of governance from security to our only viable resource for now, petroleum?
Have you asked why there is no real, tangible effort to revive agriculture, education, health, power and solid minerals yet u see Buhari and his handlers going on and on about oil, oil and more oil? Why is d Ministry of Information given higher budgetary allocation than agriculture? It is to as much as possible 'sanitise' d information that gets to u so u hear only what they want.
Try reading and doing some real research. Yes, governors are rabid thieves at state level but d current system only encourages same when all they do is receive monthly allocation. I'm sure if they had to provide their own funds they'd be more circumspect and dull thieves that have no intelligent or innovative bone in their bodies would be more easily weeded out because they wouldn't even contest knowing they'd have to really work and not wait for monthly handouts from the South! Ports and railways are not for the FG only. Akwa Ibom started ibaka deep sea port and Lagos mooted the idea of the Lekki port. You do have to get approval from the FG though (border issues necessitate that). |

BazyLastard: GTB's *737# is a bit of a scam. You get charged the transaction fee even if the transaction fails. Theives, they should just wait...
Anyway CBN's decision to bar the telcos from using airtime for transactions was painful sha, even though it was not unfounded. They were trying to avoid the creation of a shadow currency in the country which they would be unable to control, since airtime is as ubiquitous as the naira. CBN didn't bar telcos from using airtime for transactions( they don't have that right), they barred the telcos from mobile money and have the licences to banks instead which was a wrong move. |

Lots of idle power plants due to gas shortages, once gas and gas lines vandalism are sorted, the rest is history. PS: most people would ask why use gas Nigeria is more of a gas nation than petroleum so with the right investments we should be able to produce enough gas to power west Africa. |
