To truncate IMSUTH Orlu, Okorocha started to build 27 general hospitals to be well equipped. Every Imolite, except a novice, knows that such 27 well equipped and doctors-manned health care hospital system is not practicable, not even in the richest countries of the world.

Eight years after, only about four of the 27 general hospitals are completed today, the four are around Owerri, in Owerri with FMC, in Owerri where FUTO is planning to start a new university teaching hospital.


Today, Okorocha has practically wasted the funds of IMSG trying to duplicate nearby every function of IMSUTH in Owerri, beginning from Ochiedike and other Diagnostic laboratories in Owerri, to building empty super structures at Imo specialist hospital Owerri.

Okorocha driven by old grudge against Orlu tried everything to suffocate a university teaching hospital in Orlu where IMSG and private investors invested billions of Naira.

Okorocha scrapped more than 20km of roads leading to important economic growth centers of Orlu. He dismantled the roofs of Orlu stadium, knew that it's the turn of Orlu for IMSG water supply system already existing in Okigwe and Owerri zones, but Okorocha declared that from his administration, water supply in Imo state has become a private program.

Alas, APC Secretariat in Abuja issued a statement that many of Okorocha's actions as governor were embarrassing to APC as a political party.


Okorocha now blames Nigeria for seizing a Certificate of Returns that could have made him represent Orlu zone in the Senate.
He went to APC Chairman recently, the chairman sent security aides who pushed Okorocha our of the chairman's office.

Okorocha went to president Buhari, the presidency quickly reacted by enacting a law restraining state governors from access to LGA funds.

Abagworo/Imo1stSon and other Okorocha's online sycophants clap for Okorocha who wasted/lavished more than 95% of IMSG development funds which Okorocha could spare in eight years on demolishing and rebuilding in Owerri in eight years As Okorocha made Imo state to become Owerri, about 95% of Imo state outside Owerri deteriorated, except for the few deceptive and diversionary Naira & Kobo projects of Okorocha govt outside Owerri.

National Universities Commission (NUC) has approved another three new universities for Imo State government barely three weeks after it approved University of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences for the state. The newly approved institutions which bring to six the number of state universities in Imo State are University of Creative Technology, Omuma, University of Medical Sciences, Ogboko and University of Science and Technology, Onuimo. Speaking at a meeting to convey the approval to Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State on Tuesday in Abuja, Executive Secretary of the NUC, Prof. Abubakar Rasheed, said the institutions have met all the requirements necessary for their recognition. “All the requirements have been met, the documents have been presented and the laws setting up the universities passed by the State House of Assembly have also been presented. We hereby formally recognise the establishment of these universities,” the NUC boss said. Prof. Rasheed said the Commission would work out new curriculum for the new universities as most programmes the institutions will run are innovative and would require massive input of NUC. He, however, said that the certificate of approval of the new universities would be dispatched to the governor before the end of the day or before the week runs out. Speaking, Governor Okorocha said the universities were established through the instrumentality of the State House of Assembly, adding that the main aim of putting in place the new institutions was to bring development to rural areas and increase access to university education. He explained that in the past seven years the state has the highest number of students seeking university admission in the country, saying, “it is only 20 per cent of them that are admitted. This will give admission to the 80 per cent who are denied admission and are roaming the streets.” On the funding of the new universities, Okorocha said adequate arrangements have been put in place to ensure issue of financial challenges are not associated with the running of the institutions. “If education remains a priority, there is enough fund to run university. We are also involving the private sector because the universities are open to public and private partnership. The project started long time ago,” he said

2 new hospitals of massive size will soon be completed and commissioned by a supposed bad governor in Imo state while the so-called good governor in Anambra is still at foundation stage at Anambra's first convention centre for up to 4 years now. Okorocha completed the IMO convention centre in his first tenure. How some people consider Okorocha a bad governor is what I still don't understand. When you talk of Landmark achievements, Okorocha beats all the SE governors hands down including the former governors like Sullivan Chime and Peter Obi, argue with your keyboard. As Okorocha is leaving come May 29, my only prayer is for God to bless him and ensure he continues to invest massively in IMO state.

2) From Orlu pass Ogboko roundabout to Akokwa is not 40 kms; its 13.7 kms.

Okorocha enlarged this Owerri pass Orlu to Akokwa road for his business in Ogboko.

Orlu-Ihialla road, the economic route of Orlu to Onitsha laid non navigable since Okorocha is in power till a local representative got to its repair.

The roads to the economic nerve of Orlu - international market - have all worn out since 2013, none repaired.

Orlu stadium dismantled by Okorocha in 2012 is no more functional as the exposed seats have rotten, long after the empty stadium was re-roofed 2 yrs ago.

Update on the Enugu Specialist hospital Orba

The first phase of the 200 bedded Specialist Hospital located in a wide Acre of land owned by ovoko, Iheaka, Imilike and Orba is 90% complete. The asphalt pathways in the facility has been awarded and contractor set to mobilize to site.
The specialist hospital facility is a four phased construction.
The second phase which will include Doctors Quarters, medical Student Hostels etc is set to commence once the remnant 10% of the first phase is completed.

Everywhere in the world, monuments of heroes and notable people who played a positive role in the development of the place are celebrated and are tourist attractions.

Instead of Okorocha making monuments of our heroes, he made monuments of people who played an ignoble role to relegate Igbos as second or third class citizens in a country we gallantly fought for it's independence.

It is an insult to erect statues for us to revere such men who gleefully boasted how they denied Igbos and Igboland of any meaningful development and how he would continue to maltreat them with everything in his power. Those evil statues of oppressive men MUST come down when they leave power. Whether you like it or not!

When you become a governor you do things the way you want. Rochas was the person that initiated this idea in Imo state so let him mould whoever he wants for the fact that Odumegwu Ojukwu and Sam Mbakwe are there. The new governor may decide to mould Arthur Nzeribe, Kaduna Nzeogwu or Ozurumba Mbadiwe.

Thank God the idea has been created and all credits should go to Rochas.

That said, people have problems with Rochas for many different reasons. While an overwhelmed majority of Igbos (who are not from Imo State) despise him because he is in APC, they will never admit that. Personally, I don't like Rochas Okorocha because he's a coward who would rather insult his people to be tagged a detribalized Nigerian. A man who is not proud of his identity is a waste of breath and space!

However, the fact that nobody can change, regardless of how much they try, is that no governor has addressed the infrastructural deficit of Imo State since 1999 more than Rochas. He may be stolid and loquacious, but I will never forget the positive things he did.

Now, Ihedioha has to follow in the footsteps of Enugu's Ugwuanyi by taking development to Imo's rural communities. Imo State is far beyond Owerri.

Rochas does not have problem as we take it to be, everybody including me has problem but most of Rochas said this and that were doctored to tarnish and hinder his person and political progress. I used to hate him too, but when saw what he impacted in Imo state I grew in love with him.

In Orlu alone, he beautified it by expanding all the aforementioned roads, built new stadium, built an event center almost opposite the new stadium, built school of health and nursing technology in Okporo, upgrade Tesac to Imo state polytechnic Orlu campus, upgraded the Imsuth, which you've been shouting of the poor state of the road that leads to it without knowing the present upgrade of the teaching hospital, he built a general hospital beside the new stadium though not fully equipped which I'm expecting Ihedioha to do so, built new markets, dualised a road at back of Udenwa's house though not completed as at last 2yrs just like the ones beside the children park and opposite St. Joseph Catholic Church, the wife built skill acquisition center beside the new stadium and built houses for widows. Rochas built a building materials market still in same area, refurbished the Umuna central school, built the Eastern palm University Ogboko which was meant to be the new Imo state University but was rejected by Owerri people. The records are there for any one to verify.

He created a 20,000 job in Imo state since 2015 which Orlu people benefited like their other folks from other zones of the state. Orlu also benefited from free education.

In Okigwe, he dualised the Okigwe main road which is more than 8km, built a new stadium, built all the adjoining streets, dualised the road that leads to the new stadium, built the imo state University of engineering, Onuimo, the princess hotel under construction and a general hospital.

Other towns of Imo state are not left out like Oguta, Umuka, Mgbidi, Mbaise where he built the Imo state University of agriculture and vetenary medicine and Obowo where he built the Maleysian market.

He completed the blocks for the 27 Imo general hospitals which the incoming governor will equip the ones that have not been equipped.

Imo state does not have that money and this man really did magic in Imo state, so as Igbos I think we should appreciate he irrespective of his party affliction.

When Udenwa came on board newly, he was termed the Messiah. When Ohakim took over he was termed the Messiah too. When Rochas took over he was not only seen as Messiah but a Demi God himself. But now he's about to go down a tyrant. Imo state with Owerri zone is a worst state to govern. Pls Owerri people emulate Orlu people and Mbano people and discover other sources of livelihood, you must not depend solely on government and your governors will not be throwing money on the street of Owerri.

The tyrant, was it not the same Rochas that share money, school bags and uniforms to school pupils, give free education to all levels, clear backlog of arrears of salaries and pensions, built houses for widows, open up Owerri, Orlu and Okigwe, protected the right of children and handicaps. There's something that's very hard for me to understand here.

This issue of pension and pensioners, how many orlu and Okigwe persons are beneficiary of this? Is it not still Owerri and their mbaise brothers that are the beneficiaries. Let there be equity in Imo civil service, the civil service need to be restructured. O wukwa Mbaise ka ana asu there.
