Your analysis has nailed it spot on! Aside the fat that the interpretation of the requirement of 25% in FCT is deliberately mispresented by Obidients, in reality it does not make sense that the indigenous populace of FCT most of whom constitute the bulk of the voters there ( even politicians go back to their constituency to vote) are superior to any voters from other parts of the country. If anyone knows of any other country where a similar law is in place can they kindly educate us Iamgrey5: In my years alive, I have never seen a more brainwashed set of people than the supporters of labour party.
Firstly, the problem been referred to here is the likely pandemonium the 25% in Abuja debate if ratified by the Court will create for future Elections.
> It will elevate Abuja voters above all other states in Nigeria.
> It will go against the constitution of Nigeria that states all votes cast in Nigeria are equal because it will mean casting your votes in Abuja is more important than casting it in Akure, Onisha or Kano.
Secondly, a runoff doesn't itself guarantee that the winner of the runoff will still get the 25% requirement in Abuja. So will we simply continue to go for runoffs until the winning candidate get 25% in Abuja even if he gets 25% in all the 36 states of the federation.
Furthermore, this will put a weird spotlight on the democraphics of Abuja in future Elections which might create an ugly situation. Politicians might just import people from other states to make up the 25% in Abuja which might create an unwanted national debate in the future. Tribes will begin to fight over who should be allowed to vote in Abuja etc.
In conclusion, Tinubu's lawyer in his final written argument to the judges is only pushing his legal points with real life likely scenarios that might come out of the judgement. |

You can easily recognise hypocrisy once it surfaces.... where is the threat in this statement?. Datti Baba Ahmed was more explicit in threatening violence after they lost the election but heaven did not fall, Mr Obi himself in 'Yes Daddy' audio tape was referencing a religious war and people were happy to downplay it, the so called Area Fada was openly calling for a youth insurrection , yet the LP had no issues with that. Some people must have failed English Comprehension multiple times in secondary school. This article is so straightforward and self explanatory but people with mischief who just always want to criticise for fun cannot fully comprehend or chose not to.
The Army is talking about the so called amnesty package of state governors being given to bandits and other terrorists.... which might have been done in good faith but which apparently is not working. This is what is hampering the operations of the Army to effectively combat these elements and not that Army is asking permission of state governors, because irrespective of whatever plan the Army has in place they must still consult with and agree with the respective governors as the chief security officers of each state.
The military cannot just go into a state with guns blazing without proper consultation with the governors, this is democracy and things dont just work the way some people imagine it ....... |

The good thing about freedom of expression is that anyone can say whatever they like and it counts only as THIER OPINION and not necessarily as the absolute fact. All you have written here are your own takes from the tribunal. It might indeed be the case that two people watch the same film and yet draw different conclusions from it, In my own assessment which is also just my opinion also: 1. Obi has failed to establish exactly how he scored more votes than Atiku and Tinubu and why he should be declared the winner instead or alternatively show overwhelming evidence of irregularities that could warrant asking for a re-run election. 2. Obi and his team did not PROVE BEYOND REASONABLE DOUBT the case of certificate forgery or drug conviction against Tinubu and so cannot hope to get a technical disqualification based on this ( note the emphasis on BEYOND REASONABLE DOUBT). 3.IF at all the technicalities of drug conviction and certificate forgery are upheld by the tribunal and TInubu was disqualified, Atiku will automatically be declared the winner having come second as declared by INEC and so here lies the deficiency of the case brought by Obi. 4. For you information also, the number of witnesses called does not necessarily prove the solidity of a case, after all how many witnesses did Obi's lawyer called to the stand and how many did they promise to call initially You and I are entitled to our opinions but the ultimate decision lies with the Judges who incidentally do not work on sentiments or assumptions but rely only on well established incontrovertible facts and evidences otherwise they will rule to maintain the status quo which is that Tinubu continues as the President. Kudos to you however, you have done a good job of giving a false hopes to your fellow Obidients who will be looking at your write up as the opinions of a legal luminary who knows his onions, knowing not that you are just a casual observer like anyone else Bigkoko: Anyone following the legal fireworks at the PEPT, within the past few weeks can predict with some high degree of certainty that Mr. Asiwaju Govt would be thrown out, permanently or at least temporarily.
The reasons are quite clear; they could not articulate a grand response to the accusations of electoral heists, qualification questions, perjury, frauds and INEC non adherence to guidelines. The three respondence; Asiwaju, APC & INEC could not respond appropriately. To compound their woes, EU, a major financier of Nigerian elections have released a damning report; in summary, INEC under Prof Yaks cheated for the ruling party!
Even if the judges want to help them, I'm pretty sure their hands are now tied because the whole world can see how shallow, myopic and stupid their legal response was. Witnesses were simply indicting Asiwaju faster than you can drink fanta! The only option they gat was to hurriedly closed their response before more witnesses further compound their woes!
This is not to talk of the embarrassment their legal team led by Oga Wole Olanipku faced when without warning all three witnesses refused to show up in court at the same time! The only witness who agreed to come; a fake pastor who refused to even touch the Bible he plies his trade with, and some other lewd fellow; a so called senator with background in Law. This senator called Bamidele, who I believe had some up bringing in the States, not only destroyed the little doubt left, but also confirmed what is public knowledge. That indeed Asiwaju is a convict whether civil or criminal, that's not the issue. He's a convict. Whole hwa!!!. So much for Jagaban of Bourdilion! The end is truly near for this mercurial politician who held Lagos in a vice like grip since 1999!
On the other part, Obidients should Start Preparing for a possible Rerun: Asiwaju knows this! This is the best he can get from the honorable judges!
LP & HE Peter Obi have proved their case beyond reasonable doubt, and APC, INEC and Asiwaju could not even acquire 3 willing, sane witnesses each against the PDP & LP.... So much for the paper tiger of Bourdilion.
All Lovers of democracy worldwide wish there won't be a rerun, but rather a declaration that HE Peter Obi indeed won the election fair & square!
So what are we to do? Firstly we must retrospect and understand that obidients have achieved what we call "Critical Mass" in physics. This Mass is formidable in enforcement of the Right way of doing things.
What is the right way? A credible INEC, with an unbiased posture, and a guideline everyone must strictly adhere to. Elections must be collate, announced under video at PU and upload real time for anyone to view, 20 minutes after close of elections. Simple.
With this set up, a crooked, highly dishonest Prof like Mahmud INEC chairman won't have the time to manipulate the figures or if another crook is sneaked in, the figures won't add up. Imagine after months elections was conducted they couldn't upload all results because the figures refused to add up!
Next, we must exert pressure on INEC. The campaign should be, Prof Yaks should go! Mr. Okoye should go! All top management that allowed this broad day light heist should go. They should be made to face prosecution, at least for derelict of duty! All of them. That way a msg would be passed to the new INEC chairman, eat corn, go to jail.
A credible team from ethnic minority should be assembled and the election entrusted to them. Don't forget the ethnic minorities are the most oppressed in Nigeria. Think of what is going on in North Central & far North. Time to allow these folks determine the leaders of Nigeria. Igbo, Fulani, Yoruba don try.
No Yoruba, no Hausa-fulani, no Igbo as INEC chairman in the coming fresh elections. An election guideline should be issued. A date announced and let the party begin. Anyone who tries to induce voters with money, or cart away ballot box should be lynched on the spot & feed to hungry lions at the zoo. Even if he's a soldier or policeman. If suffer no dey tired am, make he continue am for lion belle, heaven or hell or anywhere he see himself.
Any result that is not uploaded real time after close of voting should be collected from the PU officer, announced and the PU officer made to announce his name, rank and the results before giving it back to him to take to the collation center.
If you dey do charm, make sure you load your with it, as guns are not allowed. There's a reason why the West allows individuals to own guns..... Since guns are allowed, charms, amulet, are a veritable option! Anyone who disrupt the election whether uniform man or not, after the election, make sure to do a follow-up on the fool!
Nigeria must be reset by 🔥, by force. |

May you walk and never stumble....many times at different threads I have asked the question but no one has actually given me a response and the simple question is this " Tinubu has stolen the mandate from Peter Obi is your assertion..... please tell me exactly how you came to this conclusion. Obviously for you to conclude that Obi really won the election you must have proofs and evidences. So if indeed Obi won and Atiku came second can anyone volunteer to tell me the actual vote received by all candidates, forget INEC now, tell us the real figures that made you conclude that Obi is the actual winner, because even at the tribunal we did not get anything in this regard. This conspiracy theory of stolen mandate might have originated from that lady on Twitter, NEFERTITI who claimed that Obi actually won 19 states, however before she could be queried further to give the actual breakdown of how Obi won 19 states, she deleted the tweet, but it appears some people have latched on to that and took it as the gospel truth. In the same vein I joined the conversation between two Ibo guys few weeks after the election and they both were insistent that Obi won, so I asked how did you know that ? And the answer is "we know, but you don't know anything" , I told them sincerely I don't know anything ,please tell me and the answer was " wait, everything go come out for the tribunal, don't be in a haste bros" Tribunal has come now and up till now all we heard was drug baron, no certificate, 25% of FCT ( that even did not come from Obi's legal team anyways). Make dem tell us EXACTYLY how obi was supposed to have won, dem no fit. This is the gauntlet thrown down here again now, please o ye who knew everything, tell us the ignorant ones, by how much votes did Obi actually win the election. Which states did he win that were not declared for him? Was this established at the tribunal (in case we missed it). If you are unable to provide these answers could you please mop up your tears and STOP SHOUTING STOLEN MANDATE. You are ridiculing yourselves just like the Trump's muppets Omookunnimi: Honestly I don't know what these people want. In election there is always a winner and looser. It seem you people don't consider that it's not only Igbo that voted in the last election. Why it's it that it's only you people calling for war? You did the same against Abiola and succeeded, you tried it to Tinubu and you failed. Why can't you accept defeat and move on or better still prepare for 2027.
The last time I checked Nigeria is not made up of only Igbo. It is a complex entity. Casting your votes 100% for Obi can't make him win. You also forget that your region is least populated in Nigeria. Democracy is a game of number and is a demrit to you people.
On a serious note, how you people analyzed the outcome of last election is still surprising me. Historicaly, the party that won presidential election in Nigeria always has majority in the national assembly. The last election was not different. The party that won presidential election always won majority of governorship election. This year election was not different. The states assembly also goes the same ways. Even in Anambra state where Obi came from, his party could not secure majority seats in the state assembly. Please you should come and explain what miracle will make Obi win the election without won NC, NW and NE. Even he couldn't win all the SS states and you people claimed his mande was stolen. The election that gave Peter Obi his second term as the Governor of Anambra was called "flawed" by international press, but did that stop Obi from accepting that outcome and his second term? So the question is if they will award N1 million naira to any person making such a proof, Whose money are they awarding for their media jest? Is it tax payers funds allocated through budgetary provisions that they will award for this media show that is well outside of JAMBs mandate to serve, or Is it the examinees funds that they plan to fritt away in such manner? Was this provided for in the 2023 approved budget for JAMB? Did JAMB defend such waste of national funds in their Budget presentation to the National Assembly or do we have an emperor at the helm of JAMB who just does as he pleases?
