Actually Obama spent much more than 365 days blaming Bush. The first two years of his presidency he constantly reminded everybody that cared to listen that the economy was wrecked by the previous administration of George W. Bush. In fact, his political enemies used to make the same case that you're making now that he should move on and stop blaming Bush. You can look it up.
By the way, Obama has been president for well over seven years now. The economy of the US did not finally come out of a recession until less than two years ago which means it took him five good years to fix the mess he inherited. The worst part of the recession actually happened under his watch in the first two years. It is not realistic to expect a huge national economy that has been knocked into a recession to recover in one year or even two. It doesn't happen that way.
Finally, you also need to look up what Okonjo-Iweala said that Nigerians should expect during the second term of Jonathan not knowing that it would be the first term of Buhari. She said there would be a deep recession and massive austerity measures, so the head of Jonathan's economic team knows who is to blame and it is not Buhari.

APC needs to curry the SS or the SE to be able to remain 2019. The SW has put itself in a place where it will be overlooked for a long while.

If PDP zones to the north, with a SE vice, be rest assured the SS will support.

The SE and SS cannot give PDP a higher level of support than they gave in the last election and PDP still lost. The only hope for them in 2019 is for PDP to find a presidential candidate who can match Buhari's popularity in the north.

It might, but it might not. That is my point. Personally I do not care either way. Nigerian politics is not worth the effort of any serious analysis.

No one wins the Presidency without a good political alignment, that is one of the reasons for Buhari's victory after failing three times. Although I do not approve of his methods, but I cannot fault Tinubu's role in Buhari's emergence. Buhari would have shed tears the fourth time if not for Tinubu and members of the new-PDP that jumped ship.

What will happen as the race to the 2019 presidential election hots up is an alignment of political forces. All seems to be well in the APC but any keen observer can tell that the peace that exists in the party is a facade that will wear off soon. I see a lot of movements in and out of the party.

Presidential elections take more than clout to win. In fact, my uncle used to say that no one has ever contested to become the President of this country. One is picked by powerful forces to become the President. You can take a quick look at our political history, you will see the truth in what my uncle said.
