1.7bn translates to roughly 6million naira per day.
Are they going to be hosting banquets everyday when people are going to bed on empty stomachs?
Is that the change they lied, killed and terrorised for? Even if he completely slashes the budget to nothing people like you will not stop making empty noise on social media. Continue to dey wail dey go. I'm going to ignore you now. Have fun. |

VulgarVulvas: We read the FG is proposing cutting the feeding allowance of his ministers and appointees.
Can anyone verify if the Grand wizard of hypocrisy has cut his 1.7 billion naira kunu allowance? What feeding allowance? I think maybe you're referring to the State House budget for providing dining and entertainment for official functions and state banquets. The idea that Buhari is going to eat #1.7 billion worth of food is an illogical fallacy. |

Cafu02: One of the main priority of an opposition us to criticise. Did APC not criticise PDP when they were in power? You guys should grow up and stop all this awkward thinking. Did I say they should not criticize? Of course they are allowed to criticize. If I also see something worth criticizing about this govt I will be the loudest voice to point it out. But PDP ONLY criticizes, they have no other strategy. That is my point. It's good to criticize but it's better to promote alternative answers that Nigerians can benefit from. |

Abi d insects na new tin wey neva hapn b4 for 9ja? @otokx- Please, keep calling people children of hate, instead of holding your servants accountable. God will come down from heaven to solve the problems we've blatantly refused to solve ourselves. Unbelievable. You should educate yourself instead of reacting emotionally to a scientific issue. Have you looked online to research the causes of this current tomato scarcity? After all you have access to the internet. The crops have already been destroyed by the pest called Tuta absoluta. There is nothing any minister can do about it cos this year's harvest is already gone. The only option is to import tomatoes in the short term and wait for next year's harvest. That is the reason why tomatoes are so expensive right now. |

Grow up and learn the usefulness of an opposition to governance PDP is not an opposition party. They have no alternative ideas or proposals. Their only strategy is to criticize and make noise hoping that if things don't get better in time then Nigerians will vote for them again. They are totally wrong for this country. |

You can't be serious to be comparing Russia, a regional and global superpower to Nigeria. Why don't you research what is going on in Venezuela, a more appropriate country for your comparative analysis and then get back to me. By the way oil and gas makes up only 16% of the total GDP of Russia, in Venezuela it makes up a huge 50% of their total GDP. You know the percentage of Nigeria's total GDP that is oil based? Only 11%. That is how you know Nigeria will eventually come out of this alright. Even if we lose all of our oil revenues our economy will ultimately adapt. ( Source: World Development Indicators, World Bank 2014.) dlox147: Russia's shares common problems with Nigeria; *its economy is also dependent on export of oil and gas. *it's country is also plagued with corruption. *Russia is facing unrest with its neighbours, Ukraine *Russia is battling sanctions from the west and USA and Nigeria is obviously not. *it's weather and climate is comparatively bad with that of Nigeria. *it's currency is sliding against the dollar. *it's stock market have seen investor exit.
With the above and many more this is the current state of russia
So Nigeria and the APC led govt have No excuse! |

Its a pity that there are still daft people like you left who will politisize even the truth before you. Any mature mind will look at the issues raised but I guess you are not one KillerFrost: bros.. What are you saying now?... This stuff you typed.. Does it change the fact that he's saying the truth?.. When will you people open your eyes and speak reality as it is... Probably when a cup of garri sells for #500..right?.. Nonsense krispycash: When GEJ awarded the pipeline contract, it created jobs for many Nigerian youths... But the government didn't pay the sum awarded for that contract and he requested that The present federal government pay him the sum owed not just to him but to those who worked for the few months they did to secure the pipelines. Can u work without being paid? He didn't beg, he asked for the government to pay for the service he rendered.... U seem to be blinded by partisan politics. Please do keep an open mind and see for yourself.... The minimum wage is 18,000 fuel is going for 145, five pieces of tomato is going for 500 Naira, u want to feed a family of 6-7, how will u do this ? U haven't spoken about nepa bill with increased tariffs, and the increase in transporting ur self, children's school fees, wife's upkeep and many more miscellaneous expenses ... Do not be blinded by your love for the people in a party. The people are going through hardships u cannot fathom probably because u are still in school n therefore under ur parents or you are working and u earn more than the average man, u should go out more and see what these people go thru feel their pain, then come back and tell us here what u think is good about this government that u support them so.. Baba Fasehun is clearly just looking out for his own pocket and interests. The so called pipeline contract awarded by GEJ was nothing but political patronage in return for promised OPC support. Constitutionally, it is the duty of the NSCDC to protect the pipelines. GEJ had no business giving that job to the OPC. I have no problem with my OPC brothers but they are in no way trained for pipeline protection work. Regarding the other stuff about the economy, the hardships and security challenges, none of that is new. The causes started before Buhari's government and in some cases even before Jonathan's government. So all of you who are stuck on personalities rather than issues need to have a rethink. The Nigerian system is deeply flawed regardless of who is in power and our problems as a country transcend who is in Aso Rock at any point in time. If you really care about Nigeria stop fixating so much on what Buhari did or what Fasehun said. They're old men living on their last legs. This country will be around for you and me to clean up the mess left behind after they are gone. You better be prepared for the responsibility of the future because our past leaders have all failed us tremendously including GEJ. And the pain is just starting now, these are just the first signs of many years of failure. |
