IamQuins: Lol! Nigerians are gullible pple, its inevitable coz even in d purest of country's pple still steal.
It can only be reduced n not stopped, d sooner u wake up d beta. What a joke! Nobody is talking about the kind of minor leakages that occur in every country. That is inevitable. The kind of wholesale stealing that occurs in Nigeria is unusual by any standard, it is emblematic of the kleptocracy that Nigeria has become and is certainly not inevitable. What is inevitable about an unelected public official converting money in a government account for his own personal use wily nily? By the way I knew this Oronsaye man when he was in the private sector. He was a very honest person full of integrity. Within a few years working in the Nigerian public sector he had been transformed into a rabid thief. |

IamQuins: Money must change hands, money must flow, money must be stolen in Nigeria
These ain't new no more to us so why bother, even if the money is being recovered the govt still won't do anything useful wit it. You are a supporter of evil and that makes you an evil person. Nigeria must make progress by fire by force, whether evil people like it or not. Imagine saying money must be stolen in Nigeria as if it is your father's money. |

VictorRomanov: But seriously, this issue could have been solved once and for all after the civil war. How? Simple. After the wall, Gowon would have done what the Assyrians did to their captives: Transplant them! Carry people from the middle belt and move and mix them with the people in the west, carry people from the west and move and mix them with people the north, carry people from the north and move them to the east, etc. After 50 yrs or more no one would remember their village. The language would change also. You cannot transplant people within a country. Especially not one as small as Nigeria. The Assyrians controlled a global empire, they could move people to very far away places from where they would not be able to return. |

Politics › Re: If U Knew Things Would Turn Out Like This, Would U Have Voted Out Gej? by babadee1(m): 12:57am On Apr 12, 2016 |
Yes. GEJ never deserved to become president. He didn't want the role and he never cared for it. Also part of the reason why things are this way today is because GEJ mismanaged the economy, just like almost every single president before him. |

If you really love her then you wouldn't care much about her size. Size is just the packaging the real person is inside. That doesn't mean you can't have a preference or you can't tell her to lose weight. However, if there is truly love there then it shouldn't be a deal breaker for you. |

mekaboy: Just wondering, if buhari decides to step down as president, will Gej take over as second runner-up?
People are saying things would have been worse if GEJ had won, but how can we tell if GEJ is not in power?
One this I know is that the Gej administration and economic team had seen the tough times coming and probably made plans to cushion the effect.
On the other hand, Buhari and his team were blinded by power that they did not see it coming. Therefore they made no preparations. That's why they went on promising heaven an eat, which they can't deliver. People like you are the problem with Nigeria. I wonder how this country can improve with people who think like this living in it. |

dare2differ: You are welcome
However it hasn't changed my opinion. You and I know that your leaders do not care about loyalty to Oodua. I have met a few Yorubas from Ilorin, who claim to be Yoruba yet would tell you why you cannot really call them Yorubas. Some of them even told me that they belong to the NC if anything should happen (that would be your leaders stance if we break up today), some of them couldn't wait to tell me the number of Fulanis and Hausas in their families, some of them have told me how other Yorubas are different, some of them told me how they prefer to marry a non-Yoruba girl, some tld me that the traditional Ilorin outfit looks nothing like our Yoruba traditional wears....I am sorry but a true son or daughter of Oodua will never hold such opinions.
I understand you might not feel the same way but as along as your leaders themselves are not willing to fully associate themselves with other Yorubas, what you feel holds no weight. Arewa forum (I suppose) have once held that you belong to them. There is so much going on with you guys. I know there would be those of you who are Yorubas in thoughts, culture etc but I don't see you anywhere. It is no big deal to be part of NC. I am cool with it but I wouldn't want us to be dragged into your issues anytime you feel like it.
You are still Yoruba however in the interest of politics and the general interest of other Yorubas, you are not Yoruba.
Ermmmm....Alaafin still owns your lands though
Babadee1, shey you grab now I don't believe one iota of your statement. No Yoruba person in Ilorin told you any such nonsense. And even if they did, well in every tribe there are always a few sellouts. That Sunday Ogochukwu Oliseh came out to categorically deny being Igbo doesn't in any way mean that he automatically ceases from being one. |
Politics › Re: Jonathan With The Son Of Martin Luther King Jr by babadee1(m): 5:32pm On Apr 06, 2016 |
Stop misquoting the bible my friend! Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. Matt 7:1&2 odeotito: "He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy." Prov 28:13.
"He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy." Prov 29:1.
Junketing the world to launder his image while the dirtiest of his rags serve as window and door blinds to welcome him back home when his folly comes full circle. Unless he repents of the evil he did us it will be his lot generationally to be an example to other irresponsible leaders and mankind of God's judgment executed on folks who oppress others in a manner Pharaohic. |
