OLADD: Why are you people so heartless in spreading mischief? Are you trying to feign ignorance of the factors that had stood in the way of the fight against Boko haram all this while? Now take this: 1. Efforts of the Fed Govt to procure ammunitions were thwarted by local and internationally conspirators, hence the inability to effectively arm the soldiers. The US and SA debacles are still fresh in the mind. 2. Our neighbouring countries ( Chad, Niger and Cameroon) had been reluctant to cooperate with us for a long time until it dawned on them that Boko haram is fast becoming regional menace. 3. Boko haram had infiltrated the security institutions, a factor that threw up unparalleled sabotage and soldiers' lukewarmness in taking the insurgents headlong. The table began to turn just few weeks ago due to a positive reversal in above trends contrary to the postulation of political undertone been drummed by APC and its misguided supporters. Pls be informed and stop spreading lies. Ok? I wonder what you're smoking if you believe all that nonsense you typed. Which US and SA debacles? Boko Haram started six years ago, they have killed over 13,000 Nigerian citizens. All the crap you referred to only happened last year. GEJ has been president for five years now. What was he doing for the past five years while Boko Haram was massacring people and taking over large portions of Nigerian territory? |

You must be high on weed . so how did the tape showed that it was rigged? making noise from nothing. Fayose have told you to take it to court. just do that Have you listened to the tape? They were trying to bully a high ranking military officer to arrest members of the opposition party using the name of President GEJ. That is clearly illegal activity and legally is enough to render the supposed results of the election null and void. The matter should be in a court of law right now, I don't know what APC is waiting for. |

When I first noticed this in 2014, I had to drive down to the PHCN office supporting my area and they explained that the newly built 7.5 MVA injection sub station in my area had been completed and that I should kiss goodbye to power issues. True to their word, I have not had cause to use my generator since then. I have a 3.5KVA inverter that takes care of the remaining few hours that power goes off daily and this is just about 4 to 6 hours, so frankly speaking, I have 24hrs uninterrupted power supply for over a year now. If you need more details, I will be more than willing to share Which area do you live in? |

Pvale: At times , i think we have to open our minds to see things differently from what we think they originally portray. First of all, i dont know the man of God as i am not in Delta State . But someone else would have understood it differently like, Let all those that are planning to rig the election know that God can allow the right person to be rigged into the office. Dont forget how he described the way he chose to deal with the contrary he said " To the froward I will show myself Froward' So instead of condeming a man of God that Christ has already died for, you can pray for him if you feel he deviated. Remember the sin of "Blasphemy" because God does not take permission from any man to walk with another. God bless you. What you have just said is nonsense and condemnable. God can never be associated with any kind of illegality. He will never support rigging or endorse rigging. God is holy and it is a terrible thing to fall into the hands of the living God as the bible states. Think again before you say such things about the Lord. |

Politics › Re: Why Do You Think President Jonathan Is Corrupt? by babadee1(m): 1:14am On Feb 17, 2015 |
myproperty: I am not comparing Nigeria to other countries. Now compare corruption perception index of Nigeria from OBJ's government.
In 2000- most corrupt nation in the world In 2001, 2002 and 2003 second most corrupt nation in the world behind Bangladesh In 2004- Third most corrupt nation in the world behind Bangladesh and Haiti In 2005- 154th most corrupt nation from 159 nations In 2006-142nd most corrupt nation with 9 others with the same position in 2007- 147th most corrupt In 2008-121st most corrupt nation In 2009- 130th most corrupt In 2010- 134th In 2011-143rd In 2012-139th In 2013-144th In 2014-136th Was it worse than OBj's government? No OBJ government was worse in corruption http://www.transparency.org/research/cpi/cpi_2001 and http://leadership.ng/news/392876/nigeria-ranks-136th-corrupt-country-latest-global-corruption-index This is from the Transparency International website; "What does a number mean to you? Each year we score countries on how corrupt their public sectors are seen to be." Their global corruption index measures perception not reality, meaning that there is no way their data can be used to objectively determine whether OBJ or GEJ had a more corrupt government than the other. The most we can say is that GEJ has done a better job of image laundering as far as the idea of Nigeria and corruption is perceived in the international community. |
Politics › Re: Why Do You Think President Jonathan Is Corrupt? by babadee1(m): 6:27pm On Feb 16, 2015 |
myproperty: So he is not wanted here because he has a contrary opinion to yours? He never said Jonathan is a saint.
Is there any Nigerian president or head of state that is not corrupt? If you know one that is not corrupt mention is name and I would tell you how corrupt he is.
When mentioning the person's name, please also help by giving us your own definition of corruption.
All former and present Apex leaders of Nigeria are corrupt as at when they were in office, the difference between them are the level of corruption and performance in office. some are corrupt and still have one or two things to show, some are corrupt and when they leave office you cant attribute any physical achievement to them.
Transparency International (TI) has ranked Nigeria the 136th most corrupt country in the world and the 3rd most corrupt country in West Africa after Guinea and Guinea Bissau.
In its 2014 Transparency International Corruption Perception Index released, the group said it ranked 174 countries it surveyed based on how corrupt their public sector is presumed to be.
The measurement is based on a scale of 0 to 100 with a score of 0 perceived as “highly corrupt” and 100 “very clean”. Nigeria was ranked 136th with an index score of 27.
This record is Nigeria best ranking on Transparency International’s corruption perception index (CPI) under President Goodluck Jonathan.
Nigeria was ranked 144th in 2013, 139th in 2012 and 143rd in 2011 with the 2014 position bettering that of 2013 by eight places......http://leadership.ng/news/392876/nigeria-ranks-136th-corrupt-country-latest-global-corruption-index So some countries are perceived to have become more corrupt than Nigeria. It doesn't mean that Nigeria has become less corrupt under Jonathan. |
