PoliticsRe: Ambode Or Jimi Agbaje (for Governorship) by babadee1(m): 10:07pm On Apr 01, 2015
I don't really have a preference between the two but I have a huge problem with Bode George controlling Lagos. As bad as Tinubu has been, Bode George the ex-convict will be an even worse nightmare. So no to Agbaje for that reason alone.

(Modified). Don't even get me started on that abomination called Koro.
PoliticsRe: CNN Interviews President-Elect Muhammadu Buhari by babadee1(m): 7:55pm On Apr 01, 2015
For goodness sakes it's too soon for GMB to be giving interviews to CNN. The first few days should be spent of consolidating his victory and developing strategies for governance. He's probably still sleep deprived and over stressed from the whole election process. That Amanpour interview wasn't a good look at all.
PoliticsRe: Femi Fani-kayode Releases Statement About The Presidential Election by babadee1(m): 5:22pm On Apr 01, 2015
I am personally convinced that FFK was secretly working for the APC all along. The way he went about his job made many people to dislike Jonathan and it's obvious that APC had a mole in the inner circle of the PDP. It was probably Fani.
PoliticsRe: All The Praises Bcuz He Conceaded by babadee1(m): 1:17am On Apr 01, 2015
Yes. Jonathan deserves the praises he is getting for conceding. Sit tight syndrome is the major bane of African democratic experiments and Jonathan by refusing to sit tight has proven himself to be a true statesman and set an example for future leaders of the country. He is a hero of democracy. His gesture signals the end of the experimental phase of Nigeria's democracy and the beginning of real democracy in our country.
PoliticsRe: Breaking News: Jonathan Made No History Conceding Election Defeat by babadee1(m): 1:09am On Apr 01, 2015
OP, you are a joker. Even those of us who are die-hard Buhari supporters know that GEJ made history with his concession. He had every right to contest the results if he wanted to but he chose not to do that so that peace can reign in the land. Pls he deserves all the commendation he is receiving for his noble gesture and more. When Orubebe opened his mouth to start spewing nonsense I took it as a signal from Jonathan and was expecting the worst, he pleasantly surprised me with his concession. I am now a Jonathan as well as a Buhari fan. One Nigeria!
PoliticsRe: God Bless Jonathan by babadee1(m): 12:46am On Apr 01, 2015
Goodluck Jonathan a true statesman, Nigeria's best president so far. As much as I love and respect GMB I can only hope that he will replicate the humility and democratic tendencies that Jonathan has demonstrated by quickly conceding defeat and congratulating the winner. Honestly I expected a protracted court battle after the announcement and a possible judicial overturning of the results. Now that Jonathan has conceded, that outcome is all but impossible. GEJ you try. Sai Jonathan! God bless Nigeria.
PoliticsRe: Drop Your Message of Commendation For President GEJ Here.. by babadee1(m): 12:08am On Apr 01, 2015
I am one of GMB's biggest supporters and one of Jonathan's biggest critics, but by conceding defeat he has redeemed himself totally in my eyes. In my opinion he is now the single best president that Nigeria has ever had and the true father of Nigerian democracy. The days of do or die politics might now be truly over because of him. Goodluck Jonathan is an unsung hero of democracy, may history be ever kind to him.

Yes! Better late than never!
No! One can be too late when you are the leader of an entire country. Being late has cost Nigeria 15,000 innocent lives that were needless wasted. The buck stops with the president and commander in chief to deal decisively with any threats to national security. GEJ has failed and just like those innocent lives are dead and cannot be brought back, his political career should be equally as dead after today's elections.

Boko Haram has been an active menace for five years now. Why did the Nigerian govt wait until a few months ago before trying to get weapons to fight them?
PoliticsRe: Buhari's Manifesto Vs Jonathan's Manifesto by babadee1(m): 3:57pm On Mar 27, 2015
Any politician can write a manifesto and make campaign promises. The difference here is that one person has had almost six years to deliver on his manifesto and campaign promises. After failing woefully to do so, he is now asking for another four years of the same old thing. I think it's time for us to give the other person a chance.
PoliticsRe: Buhari, A Gamble Not Worth Taking — Jonathan by babadee1(m): 5:08am On Mar 27, 2015

Apart from the insurgency, more than 60% of GEJ's admin had been focused in the north alone.Unfortunately most especially in the core north will go for buhari as they did in 2011....not because of anything bu for tribal and religious sentiments. It will give us full satisfaction to report that all GEJ needs are at least 25% from those areas. He's got southwest on Lockdown,SE,SS and NC.
Jonathan can never win the southwest this time around. That is the simple truth that will become clear for everyone to see on Saturday.

the security challenges facing Nigeria right now is in the north and in the hands of apc leaders there. we all have read newspaper reports of matchets being distributed by key northern politicians. it's these key nothern politicians that gej addressed that letter to not the village farmers
Obviously you haven't read that letter. Go and read it again. It was addressed to northerners in general.
PoliticsRe: Buhari’s Last Message To Nigerians Before Election Day (Full Text) by babadee1(m): 8:31pm On Mar 26, 2015
Buhari writes a last minute letter addressed to all Nigerians. GEJ writes a last minute letter addressed to only northerners. Lets you know the state of mind of both candidates just before the election.
PoliticsRe: President Jonathan Writes Letter To Key Northern Citizens (read) by babadee1(m): 8:00pm On Mar 26, 2015
This shameless ploy for northern votes at the very last minute is nothing but insult upon injury. After ignoring Boko Haram for five years he decided to tackle the issue six weeks to the elections. Now he is late again to the game making a case for the north to vote for him when he did nothing to improve their security situation until over 15,000 people had died.
Thinking the north will vote for Jonathan at this point is the height of wishful thinking.

That is old news. The projection has now changed and Nigeria is no longer expected to be among the top fastest growing economies in 2015. The 7% projected growth rate is now down to about 4%.

The ones they borrowed before how many jobs did it create? Remember this was the same woman who negotiated Nigeria's debt forgiveness some years back under Obj now she is the one piling on more debt. With the way we manage our resources in this country any future debt negotiation will be unlikely.

I am from Isoko, delta state oya mention them one by one...
There are many known military collaborators and enablers of Delta state origin. An example is Chief Sunny Odogwu who was a major backer and financier of IBB's regime. He might not be from Isoko but he is definitely not from the north as well. The bottom line is that the military did not rule without civilians and the north did not rule without the south.

Bizibi:
what are you saying? Where you born during these guys regime, are you saying the northerners did not single handedly run nigeria as their private Biz? Which input are you talking about?
Sentiment aside the northerners wrecked this country in......something that happened right in front of us,some of you are twisting it
You can't be serious. Mention which tribe you are from and I will list for you some of the politicians in civilian dress from there who assisted the so-called Hausa/Fulani military to ruin this country. You think people from any part of Nigeria are innocent of the mess we are in today? All this northern vs. southern nonsense is the same strategy they have been using since 1960 to steal our money without any consequences while we continue to bicker and quarrel among ourselves. Whenever corrupt politicians gather together to share our stolen common wealth they don't know who is from the north or who is from the south.
PoliticsRe: Babangida Fumes At Anti-military Political Broadcast by babadee1(m): 7:12pm On Mar 25, 2015
Sweetguy25:
The military destroyed this country.
The major security problems we have in the country today was caused by the inability of the Hausa/Fulani dominated military regimes of the past to correct the fundamental structural issues facing the country.
The Hausa/Fulani dominated military regimes have made it extremely difficult for Nigeria to forge ahead and make reasonable progress.
They failed to lay a solid foundation after over thirty years of ruling the country.
Nonsense. There is no single Hausa/Fulani military ruler that ruled this country without any input from politicians of other ethnic groups. The idea that northerners single handedly ran the country under the military is a bald faced lie. Besides there is no doubt that ethnic politics have continued unabashed under Goodluck Jonathan.

Babangida should go and seat down. Military intervention and interference in Nigerian politics destroyed this country. The military also caused the civil war, that led to the loss of millions of precious lives.
That Nigeria is a useless country today, is due to the interference of power hungry military men.
Civilians have been just as bad or even worse than the military in providing good governance and promoting democracy. Goodluck Jonathan has definitely been worse than any military ruler when it comes to safeguarding lives and security in Nigeria.

PoliticsRe: PDP Asks Buhari To Clarify Role In Massacre Of 300 Igbo Soldiers, Civilians by babadee1(m): 4:20pm On Mar 24, 2015
Who did more harm to the Igbos during the civil war, Obasanjo or Buhari? If civil war sentiments are still a very strong factor in eastern politics then why did Igbos vote for Obasanjo in 1999 and 2003 when he was the very same commander who forced the surrender of Biafra. Remember Ojukwu himself was a candidate in the 2003 elections yet the Igbos rejected his candidacy. Now they are supposed to have issues with Buhari who was a mere captain during the war with no command over any troops. I think someone is clearly trying to pull a fast one on eastern voters in this election. Hopefully they won't fall for it.
PoliticsRe: Jonathan Doesn’t Deserve North’s Votes After Wife Abused Northerners – Mrs Buhar by babadee1(m): 8:45pm On Mar 23, 2015
It's all a figment of your overactive imagination.

Flets:
If by chance Buhari wins this election, extremely hard times lies ahead for this country.

Definitely, the creeks will go haywire again, Buhari will send the troops to the creeks and together they will set the oil facilities ablaze.

While these persists, the oil producing companies will simply withdraw their personnel from the volatile region and all foreign investment will seize in all sectors. And even if the troops kill 90% of the militants, it will take just one militant, a dynamite and just one location along the multi- kilometre trunklines to continue to wreck havoc.

Fast forward to 2019, if we remain one country and without a civil war,, we will be an economic wreck with no allocations and salaries, no capital projects, no hope with dollar exchanging for 400 naira and we are worse off than we were in 2015.

Cos the truth is that without crude proceeds for now, Nigeria is finished.

And then, we'll be screaming another 'Change' because we would have learnt a bitter lesson in the hands of the Fulanis, Tinubu and Saraki. And then we will ask.... Why were we this silly?

And before you quote me, make sure you outline in clear terms how you or Buhari will avert this obvious calamity staring us in the face

Only last week, they creek boys seem to have resumed activities by kidnapping at Yoho facility operated by Exxonmobil and have shut in 80KBD already. Are we ready for this for the next 4 years?

The entire world stands to benefit from a crisis in the Niger delta. Its not a coincidence that USA who abandoned us at the height of bokoharam is busy shouting for change in govt . Crises in the ND will reduce supply of crude to the Oil market and that would drive up the price of crude for producing countries.... But at Nigeria's expense.

Nigerians.... Be Warned!!!
