koruji: Might have doesn't cut it. You are hanging by threads to the words of a murderer who strode the landscape carrying out the intentions of his benefactor Abacha.
He didn't have to hide any potential tapes because he already promised it - only the delivered tape wasn't what he promised. He doesn't have jack, and is only trying to hoodwink people by muddling the waters. How does it help his case before the courts to claim to have tapes on the Abiola & Abacha murders, and the case of bribery against these Yoruba leaders, and then present a feeble publicly recorded video? He said some people were paid money, but his evidence was a request to the CBN for estacodes by the FG.
BTW, the last I heard was that Ribadu left Afghanistan after the hotel where foreigners usually stay was massively bombed. Ribadu has already described his allegation as a joke.
May his days in detention never end for attempting to sully the name of great people who stood firm even when they were confronted by his & his masters evil machinery. Didn't Bola Ige openly tell Abacha about his political parties being five fingers of a leprous hand? I share your view. Well said. |

Whaaat? We all loved our grandma's cooking in my family, we still do to this day. Her stews were probably one of the best stews in the world. Her vegetable soup was the bomb. Nobody used pepper like she did but the meals were still out-of-this-world delicious. Its a pity I haven't tasted any of her cooking in recent times but my childhood memories are filled with exciting trips to Mama's (pronounced mar mar) house for holidays and great food. My mother's own cooking was great but comprised mostly of western dishes, my grandma's cooking was entirely of African dishes. Best of both worlds is what I had. |

See how people continue to display their ignorance in public. Their haste to comment on something that has already been proven as false overcame their better judgement.
In case you guys missed it I'll say it again; the whole story is a fabrication! Read the preceding pages of this thread.

Mustapha was probably gunning on the public's love for sensation to find a way out of his predicament. He should come up with another story, Chemical 1 isn't working as he expected. |
Politics › Re: Al Mustapha Video Showed In Court, Claims Ribadu Tried To Assasinate Him by Bawss1(m): 4:38pm On Aug 04, 2011 |
miky: Not trying to be a jackass, but please what do you think with??
1.) I am starting to think this al mustapha might be wrong, HOW DID RIBADU GET TO THIS
was ribadu known then
Ribadu was probably not known to the public, i expect he did not spring up like a vegetable, he towed his line. He did his time/work perhaps the evil that threads so much around him nowadays.
2. the video according to the reporter did not show money exchanging hands. thus no bribery.
I hope you weren't expect that, because no !diot would allow themselved to be taped while collecting bribes, (i.e probably meet at a neutral position). You just can't withdraw the bribery suspicion because of that. Come to america and pray your hair follicules doesn't fall on the wrong corridor, or it could be LIFE!!! in prison. You cant rule out the bribery case, infact he is automatically a suspect, just can't be found guilty.
3. Because he wrote a letter to Bola ige does not mean bola killed abiola Undecided
I think your assumption is basic (i.e elementary); of course it can't prove anything. But in a court of law, if the lawyers are able to infuse reasonable suspicion of guilty, or even the slight possibilty that ige was aware or accompanied in it, then he is just as guilty.
I might be wrong but this is not adding up
A letter written to a killer cannot show a killer Excellent points. If this is all Mustapha has as his defense then his case is a hopeless one. Nothing has been proven here, all we see are more circumstantial scenarios. |

I think the fight against corruption should be carried out along clean and honest channels, to do otherwise will be to play right into the hands of that which we want to eradicate - unless one subscribes to the belief that the end justifies the means. I will always take any report coming from SR with a large pinch of salt. |

dipo2much: Its a very depressing shame that some journalist will resort this level of calumny. What were they thinking? That Nairalanders will take in this hogwash of a report hook, line and sinker? It really is a form of disability if one lacks perspective before holding opinions. When I first read the OP, i believed there were bribe checks. But having read more, those checks aren't the checks that we want to see. And to think they tried to paint a picture of fraud with this misrepresenting report is very shameful. Sahara reporters should hide their head in shame This is not their first or last attempt at malicious reporting. What amazes me is that tomorrow they will publish another story with wonderful "evidence" and people will come here and swear by it. |

eGuerrilla: I take back my last 2 posts. Although my call for circumspection in these matters remain (since both principals - Obasanjo and Uduaghan - are bona fide crooks), I was wrong about the 1st cheque - https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-464713.0.html
The Commissioner for Agriculture, Dr Tony Nwaka signed on behalf of the state Government while the Managing Director of Obasanjo Holdings Elder Daniel Atsu signed on behalf of their farm.
The state Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan at the ceremony presented a check of N778.6 million as the state’s counterpart funding to make the programme a success. An honorable and rare gesture here on NL indeed. |

eGuerrilla: With fossilized minds like yours, there will never be probity in our political system. So far the evidence available is in support of the Obasanjo Farms & Delta state government argument. Any talk at this moment about the said money being used to buy a tribunal judgment has not being proven and remains conjectural. SR have a history of malicious reporting and we all know their vendetta with the government It’s not like I care much for OBJ or GEJ but falsehood is falsehood no matter what. |
