Gaming › Re: Suggest A Game That Beat Mgs4 And State Your Reasons. by Bawss1(m): 8:47am On Aug 17, 2011
MGS4 is a classic no doubt but there are some other nice games you would enjoy too. Have you tried Batman Arkham Asylum, Heavy Rain or even L.A Noire? I didn't used to like first person shooters (FPS) till I came across Modern Warfare and I have since gobbled up every recent COD title.
Anyways for all MGS fans another one is in the works (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metal_Gear_Solid:_Rising) its not focused on Snake anymore, don't expect it out anytime soon though.  smiley
Gaming › Re: Video Games Getting Too Hard ? by Bawss1(m): 8:35am On Aug 17, 2011
There are still many many difficult games out there. I use cheats (if at all) only after passing a particular level the hard way to see what the cheat looks like. Normally I start games on 'Normal' difficulty settings and then increase the difficulty level afterwards.
Gaming › Re: Does Anybody Here Play Age Of Mythology by Bawss1(m): 8:27am On Aug 17, 2011
Been playing AOM since '08, I started out with AOE many years ago. Its a fun game to play, I spend hours trying to build the strongest civilization (usually with the Egyptians) only for the computer to come and destroy it all. I'm convinced the computer cheats so that's why I now play the game with cheat codes - how else I'm I going to defeat the computer on Titan level? grin
Anyways my favorite civilization is Egypt even though its army is weak. For some reason I don't like the others, maybe its because their god powers don't impress me much. But I must say Greece has some cool godpowers like teleporting your army right inside enemy territory. . .

I wonder if another AOE game will ever be made again.
Family › Re: 6 Things To Never Say To Your Daughter-in-law by Bawss1(m): 7:49am On Aug 17, 2011
The thread is not about correcting bad behavior per se its more about how to go about such corrections/criticisms. Statements like My son looks skinny, don't you feed him and He was mine before he was yours are all spiteful. We are talking about things NEVER to say to a DIL.

Anyways what do I care, its not like I'll ever be at the receiving end of all this. grin
Family › Re: 6 Things To Never Say To Your Daughter-in-law by Bawss1(m): 5:30pm On Aug 16, 2011
debrief08:
Some of the things I agree with, some are just plain silly, it takes a village to raise a child ma mother in law has every right to criticise ma child rearing skills just same way ma mum has, no one knows it all and who better to learn from than the woman who brought up ma well balanced, loving and caring husband. If my mother in law corrects me I will take it the same way I will if ma mother corrects me, some I will take note and add accordingly, some I will trow away but there is nothing wrong in being corrected
Why do I get the feeling the above comment is just straight out butt kissing. If those words were used on many a woman out there it would result in an outright war between the MIL and DIL - the statements all appear to be laced with heavy doses of spite and not constructive criticism. Let’s not kid ourselves here.

Seriously its titles like this that makes one stay away from the Family section. Its shocking to see how some people reason.

Even if Sony opened a store in your neighborhood the new games will still sell for about $60. There are no significant gains in terms of prices that a Playstation Store would offer Nigerians. This is all OT by the way.
Business › Re: The Worst Telecom Networking Firm In Nigeria by Bawss1(m): 8:35am On Aug 08, 2011
rman:
MTN is the worst network because they don't give freebies!
HABA people! If that is the defination of worst network then you all don't know what telecomunications is all of about.
The same NCC you all are shouting about knows they have the best network in the country based on QoS(Quality of service) metrics.

The same way we continue to bash  DSTV knowing fully well that they have the best pay tv service in Nigeria with more Nigerian contents.

In a very competitive sector where the power to choose rest solely with the customers, we all think making sentimental statements about one provider will bring them down while they continue  to do the bussines right.

If their competitors do their bussiness right we don't need to open all this thread, they wil naturally be out of bussiness.

We all prefer MTN , what I hear most times when I see all this MTN bashing threads is '' MTN, BRING YOUR PRICE DOWN AND YOU WILL BE CALLED THE BEST NETWORK IN NIGERIA''.

Pricing is all what this basing of MTN is all about not really about service quality. Although, all service providers in the country still have a lot to do about QoS including MTN.

FYI all, you will all soon get your wish. I JUST HOPE WE WILL APPLY THE SAME ZEAL TO PROMOTING MTN WHEN WE GET OUR WISH, the same way we do in bashing them now.
Couldn't have said it better. All goes to show the level of reasoning many NLanders display these days.

^Look at this dude. You'd be better off starting your own thread instead of hijacking this one for the sake of advertisement.

The problem with the Games section is that it is has been overrun by all kinds of merchants who are not interested in games but are just here for a quick buck.  angry
