jmaine:And some people are still asking; where Beaf at? ![]() |
I think llulipup the OP has just branded himself as a possible terrorist or at best a mischief maker. The anonymity that the web provides should be used responsibly and not in generating troublesome rumors like this. |
Blood Money is a superb game?? This is new, I found the game to be average at best. A very forgettable game indeed. Otoh, Hitman Absolution appears to rather nice but I'm not going anywhere near it till way after its release and the reviews come in. That's what Blood Money taught me. |
It is only proper that a man as a husband is able to provide for all of his family. But as usual some women will want to hide their lazy intentions under this responsibility and that’s just plain terrible. |
Mobinga:Dude that's totally untrue, where did you get that? All the GSM providers have less than stellar bandwidth services not just MTN. |
OAM4J:Its no longer surprising the speed at which threads degenerate to ethnic bashing arenas here on Nairaland. Some people are just full of it. |

Seriously though, where is Beaf? [I'mna get a Tshirst with that line. I like it] |
By the time Beaf catch una na the time una go know. ![]() Seriously I don't know what the big deal about Abati is. I used to read his articles back in the days but didn't see anything extra special about them. GoldCircle:Nice one. |
Una never tire for this old gist? |
Dunno why some guys find it hard to do as I do when it comes to matters like this. When a relationship ends everything about that relationship ends with it. No more phone calls, delete her numbers, delete all your emails to her, remove her from Facebook friendlist. Total erasure, no contact. That way issues like this will never arise. See how the husband causes his wife unrest because of refusing to let go. |
Yeah I know there is no effective way of restricting who listens to a radio station like Wazobia. Parents and guardians just have to discourage children from listening to such stations. These are just my views but I suspect that it will be in the minority, Nigerians seem to love Wazobia and the like, it's amazing. |
I cringe every time I hear a presenter on Wazobia. I can't imagine any child in my care listening to such talk. IMO much harm than good is achieved because of their pidgin. There is little that can be of use to any child learning pidgin. I think Wazobia should be an adult only station. |
Bijemi:Personal vendetta ke. Be there smelling what you want. Somehow someone manages to link every slightest happening to political motives. Only on Nairaland. |
^ Is there any espionage loving guy that isn't a fan of Mission Impossible? Spy movies are my thing. I'm talking from James Bond to Man from U.N.C.L.E to Mission Impossible. I love em all. ![]() Oh well, will wait for December then, it just seems like an eternity already. |
I'm with the OP on this one. It is wrong to encourage kids to speak pidgin, especially at that early age. Same goes to those parents that allow their kids listen to that rat-awful radio station called Wazobia FM. Tomorrow the parents will complain that their kids are scoring sharp F9 in WAEC English exams. |

I think the moment NYSC starts listing states where they won’t post corpers is the day Nigeria’s federal character will be brought into sharp focus. Such a move if it ever happens carries a lot of serious undertones. The guys at NYSC don’t want to make the first move or as they say, bell the cat. I personally won't want to serve in the den of Boko Haram no matter what. |
iice:I understand. I just wish we don't have to wait for that long, I really liked what I saw. December is still many months away. |
Sometimes I wonder how things operate in this country. During the daytime checkpoints manned by soldiers can be seen in almost every corner here in Abuja but come nightfall they seem to disappear. At least that was my experience last night when heading to an estate along Games village road; robbers were alleged to be operating along that road and motorists were abandoning their cars in flight (I wonder why people do that even, why not quickly reverse??) That was something one never hears in Abuja - robbers holding down a major road! Where were all the soldiers and their checkpoints? Is this how they intend to secure Abuja by disappearing at the first signs of trouble? |
But seriously how long is this measure supposed to be in place? Is it till all of Boko Haram have been eliminated? |
iice:I wonder why they are making us wait till December for goodness sake for the movie?! ![]() |
^ Are the examples you cited above supposed to be good things? A man who has not seen his children in past the 15 years, an old person dying at home and nobody knows? Very terrible way to argue your case, not that I have taken sides already. Just saying. |
blankees:That stuff was most likey written by a non-Nigerian policeman. I can hardly imagine a police officer in Nigeria concerning himself with this. |
Who is Funmi Iyanda? ![]() |
OK all these pictures have gotten me started, where can one buy good cheese cake in Abuja? |
The leading cause of divorce is marriage. ![]() |
jennykadry:When you put it like that it sounds very bad. |
I hope they resolve whatever issues they have and I pray that they are not in dept or anything like that. I don't want that pretty Tolutope to have any wahala. ![]() |
I liked the Columbo movies. I wish the actor strength in the beyond. |
The Nigerian standard of education is high… on drugs. ![]() Very funny statement indeed. Someone here mentioned the fact that students in his school overseas didn’t know what BODMAS was. Like that is supposed to be a standard measure. If one went that route then how many Nigerian engineering students know what Matlab and Scilab are, softwares that have become ubiquitous with learning in other climes. The education curriculum especially at the university level needs to be updated and brought in line with current global realities. During my university years most, if not all, of what I was taught was from ancient notes recycled by the lecturers. Skills that are needed for most technical jobs today are hardly acquired in our universities. People have been saying all this for a long time now, education in this country is in a terrible state. One look at some people’s posts here on NL and one can see how deep the rot is. |
A disgrace to the Nigerian Army. ![]() |
