If this is true why then some very and highly successful people can't make their marriage work the way they handle their businesses successfully? I will tell you the answer, which is because the success of the marriage doesn't lie with them. It is dependent on both parties. If you still don't get why it involve the two parties I will give you another point.

You are not getting me. In marriage two becomes one right? Which means she comes first to me and I come first to her. Once both of us understand this arrangement, then there is nothing to worry about. Which means her happiness is paramount to me and mine to her. But in a case where I care about her happiness but she doesn't care about mine. What else am I doing in that marriag. This is my point.

One thing I am very certain of and I always tell any lady I am involved with is that my happiness comes first. So if I am happy and able to manage my worries while being single. It should even be better when I am Married else what the Bleep am I doing in it.

It would have been good or perfect if it's has straight forward as you put it. Marriage needs two to make it work which why it is not easy, because no matter the effort you put. If your partner doesn't, it will still fail.

In Christianity, marriage is for the following (in no particular order):
1. Companionship
2. Prevent adultery aka access to godly sex
3. Raise godly children

So yes, husbands and wives owe themselves sex, companionship, support etc.

You just summarized what it means when the bible says the wife's body belongs to the husband and vice versa as long as they are married. In christian homes, anything you do outside this arrangement is calling trouble for yourself. But logically, my body belongs to me and I should do whatever I please with it. So go for the one you are married with.

I think people get tired of everything in life. Even living at some point, can be exhausting. We all get tired of food, we lose appetite just the same way we lose interest in sex.

However, couples don't get tired of sex to a point where they stop having sex. They will always find their way back after some time. Same thing happens after we lose appetite.

You can't compare food and sex, both are totally different. People have gone days, months and years without sex but same can't be said of food because your body will demand for it for survival except you want to cease to live which means you are tired of life itself not tired of eating.

The OP has refused to accept the truth in front of him rather lamenting on identity crisis. Until you realized that people are bad irrespective of their color or tribes. Those children or families you claim facing identity crises is because they are living with inhuman, uncultured and terrible people. Simple as that. I guess it is their hormone running high at that stage. While I was teaching in a secondary school. They practically told me how many bf and gf they had. I had to advise them on the consequences that they may encounter if they dont make it platonic and stay out of sex. They can be safe if they date their age group who is probably under parental watch. We should be concern when we see adults trying to lure them into dating and try everything possible to stop it or discourage it. I have done that in the past. The internet has corrupt their generations. You can help them by educating them on how to control their anxiety at that age and handle peer pressure. I have a young girl to raise in future, may God help me.

I am sure my sisters will not pray to marry a man like our father. He was never a good reference to copy or imitate. @OP.. you must put your words into action. Sit her down and tell her what you have observed about her and the bad attitude it is displaying to her siblings. Lists the consequences of how her acts could affects the relationship with her siblings. Tell her to stand tall whenever the other girl wants to bully her. Assure her that you will stand by her no matter what happened. You also need to tell the other woman to control her bully daughter or you talk to the father direct. I cant allow my daughter/sonr become a bully when I can stop it. Do it now before it turns your daughter to something else. You can now pray after you have done those tips i listed. Gracias...

It is easier to say lets copy the European culture in terms of sharing responsibilities in marriage. But are u also ready to give power to women in marriage and other benefits accrued to them in those European countries you want to copy. If I list them now, then you will see an african man saying it is not our culture to do such. Please just stick to what work for you and your spouse.
