@poster, just follow your heart on this issue, but remember, there's no compulsion as to the things of GOD. Give freely and willingly anything you want to give. |
Outstrip:Let me be very clear my dear, Child benefit is not Income support and neither is it Job-seeker's allowance. Income support and Jobseeker's allowance are tax related benefits that involves your income tax contribution and N.I contribution (England) and social security number(USA). You don't have to work to claim child benefit. You can claim child benefit even if you've never worked before. To the issue of child tax credit, this is a work related benefit that only apply to those that are working and have a child that is claiming child benefit. If you pay your tithe every month from your salary, why should you now pay extra tithe on your Child's tax credit money? The money is given back to you for the upbringing of your child and not for your own personal use. Where in the bible do we have this kind of discrepancy? Why do the issue of tithe have to be a great concern to this so-called new generation churches? Did Jesus ever instructed anyone to pay tithe? Only once did he ever mention tithe in the bible, when he say to a hypocrite that if 'you claim to pay tithe, why not do the other things that's been instructed by Moses'. We're not in those time anymore, this is a new dispensation. Paying tithe or not paying tithe is a personally thing and should not be seen as a criteria to securing heaven. If we're not condemned, why should we then condemn ourselves? |
Nwaka77:You guys should just keep your quiet. @poster has raised a very sensitive but important issue here, and all y'all could say were the highlighted words above. Psychologically, only dominants and dictatorial women chooses what side of the bed to sleep on. If your woman always say 'move inside' to you, then she's got an attitude; a hypothetical construct that represents an individual like or dislike for a thing. Authoritarian relationship lays emphasis on control and decision making. My point, the edge of the bed should always be for the guys (that means you have an edge, you're in control, you're protective of her). When anything happens, the guy should be the one to get out of the bed first, then the wife. That means easy access for the guy to turn on the light, respond to emergencies and shield the wife. If I came to your bedroom, I'd prefer to see your husband in the front, then you at the back. Forget about civilisation or equality watch, guys should always be at the front. These biological concepts are relevant to both human and animal behavior, and they can be used to explain authoritarianism in scientific, rather than pejorative terms.

|
Outstrip:The @poster said child benefit. What has gross or net income got to do with child benefit? The money is simply for your child, why tithe on it. Pls abegi, I'm tired of this so-called Christians that always uses tithe as a way of pleasing GOD! When did child benefit now becomes an avenue for Pastors to defraud these little children?. I'm seek and tired of Nigerians that can't think straight own their own without saying 'my pastor said this or that' on tithe. If you wanna tithe, then tithe on your goddamn salary, not on your children's money. Enough of this overly-spiritual attitudes of our people. I bet if you ask your pastor, he would say you should tithe the child benefit, why, because they're money mongers. Don't make me vex o. Now go and put your children's benefit back into their account quick quick before I loose my temper o. Tithe on child benefit ko, tithe on child benefit ni |
God Forbid you became broke and your wedding was just few months old, and you were told to leave your apartment due to unpaid house rent. Would you consider moving in with your In-laws in their mansion until you could sort yourself out financially? However, you still have your parents house on one side but seriously contemplating about it, as you've left there for years and wouldn't go back there. Your friends are of no good as well. Your in-laws are the only one willing to harbour you until you're ready to move on, what would you do in this situation? A friend of mine has gone through this before, but the in-laws weren't the problem on this occasion. It was my friend's wife! She became so arrogant and pompous of the situation. She was happy her husband was now under her. God has blessed my friend with his own apartment now. Let me know your thought! |
What are you now insinuating? So you mean his birth name should now be terminated, abi. Call him darling, honey, sugar and whatever you want to call him, but I know for sure that whenever you guys have misunderstanding, you'd be the first to open your mouth and call him CHINEDU x3. What a rubbish and perpendicular hypocritical joke! I think you should call your husband whatever name you're comfortable with as long as he's fine with it. |
, If she can't cook, then she's a crook! I'd starve her of my c.o.r.k so that she could crawl back to her mums house to learn how to cook before I hire me a beautiful cook ![]() |
There's no such thing as 'SPIRITUAL MOTHER', ok! Romans 8 is self-explanatory and doesn't need a pastor to translate it. The bible is not Catholic and neither is it a ritual book. We're the new generation Church that perfectly and intellectually understands the will of God in our lives. Forget about the 'Hollier than thou' thing, the ancient and orthodox doctrines, the Jewish and the man-made ways. A sister is a sister and a mother in the church is a mother in the church! God and Jesus should be our all- in -all. Not sure of your faith though. But don't try to bring ambiguity and heresies here, ok! |
Closing of eyes in Nigerian Churches and all other Black Churches is a perpetuated misconception that has for decades turned Churches into being stereotype. The Pastors should know better and stop forcing it on everyone. These are some of the genuine reasons why we close our eyes when praying; 1. So that you won't be carried away/arouse by the a.s.s of that sister standing/sitting in front of you 2. so not to feel inferior/condemned by the vibrant prayer of that brother/sister beside you 3. We close our eyes sometimes for the Pastor's selfish mission (can't expand on this, pls use ur initiative) 4. To give 100% of our attention to God 5. To avoid talking to another whilst prayer in going on 6. To avoid seeing the overly-emotional sisters/brothers sentiments. , to be continued, |
dominique:@ dominique, why the finger triggering/pointing to @poster, huh? Abegi no personalize your comments towards me o. Na warning i dey give you so o. Mind ya self o. I fit vex now now. Until u beg me, i go continue to dey vex o. |
paris10:I totally agree with you. And to those who are criticizing @poster, I guess you lot don't know Nigeria. These Pastors would do 'anything' to gain recognition. Rings comes in different shapes and purposes. Some are wedding/engagement rings, some are fetish/herbalistic and while some are for demonic oppression on subjects. |
Sadly for you, if you're looking for a religion, then Christianity ain't for you! Christianity is not a religion, but a way of life! A way that shows you the true reflection of yourself in the mirror. Religion is all about fanaticism and most times leads to aggressiveness and destructions. Christianity is a way that convince and tell you the difference between good and bad through the Spirit of the most High GOD ( not Allah). Go for Christ and you'll witness no more crisis in your life. |
The topic should have been "I invite You To Accept Terrorism" You low expectation, ignorant, midget, kalakuta drunk terrorist. |
I believe you should concentrate more on the baby and search yourself peradventure you've done him wrong. If not, sit him down and talk sense into him. If that doesn't work, call elders, Pastor/Spiritual head to solve your issue. This is UK, if he refuses to change, threaten him with 'removal/get out of the house notice'. Don't threaten him if you're renting o, only do this if you're on mortgage or have bought the house out-rightly. Nuff said |
mama-gee:Unfaithful? ![]() |
@poster, you know what, regardless of your findings and research, people would rather engage themselves in something they think is more prevalent to their issues than comment on your thread. Don't get me wrong, some would comment, most wouldn't. I believe you're an outspoken person and kinda bang on the point. Muslims will slay you! While Christians would argue and peacefully dialogue to any criticism to their beliefs, Muslims will aggressively approach the subject and destroy or kill the critics. They simply fight for Allah and not the other way round. God fights for Christians. That's just the difference between these two. |
frosbel:My bad! Sorry Mister. |
@poster and some of y'all supporting his view should just keep quiet and listen! (not an insult) I believe some of @poster's family member's here in Nigeria are also jealous of him, let alone his friends. They're not jealous of you but rather mad at your world views. You were once like them but now trying to be someone else. Western knowledge should not change our moral values, beliefs and the bonds we've for so long shared. Out of frustrations and to some because of limited resources, home coming has not been easier for Nigerians in diaspora. The people in Nigeria should try and appreciate Nigerians in diaspora for their little contributions and also pray for their sweet home coming. I tell y'all, never easy in those western countries. Think about the racism these people have to overcome, the job discrimination they had to go through, the settlement papers they had to fight for. Pls think about these things! The longer you stay abroad, the more reason you wanna make it big b4 returning back home. Respect |
As for me, I make it simple, I receive this food FATHER with thanksgiving in Jesus name. , 1 Timothy 4:4-5, As for blessing those that doesn't have, HE blesses them anyway! |
For me sha, I'll forgive, emm, em, let me think jare, |
AqRiUs Age:Even on your Pastor, my dear? |
Aahh, that is because they are tired of the old Kitty-Cat and need a new one to clear their minds. Men should instead try as much as possible as they can to start recycling their old Kitty-Cat and make it new, because if it ain't new, it ain't good! |
Na only number she give u wey u don quickly dey wonder if she dey cheap. What about if she come give u the real thing on her first visit to ya house, I sure say you go call her ashawo or man-monger!
