HIV is the least thing that should make you commit suicide.

Medical breakthrough in this field is enough for you to know that you can live healthy and can procreate.

You have to make up your mind to live on drugs.

The guy should let her go. She is materialistic and conscious of society's applause. This will spell doom for the union in the future.

Her conscience has been eating her up for sleeping with another man. She willing confessed to her husband and asked for his forgiveness, now he wants to end the marriage. Is the husband right in the decision he is about to take. Were is the place for forgiveness in a marriage. is it not for better or worst.

MY opinion, she deserves a second chance. please your advise would be of help.
It is good that you put it as your opinion. Your opinion does not bind on the man, he is at liberty to decide the outcome and the lady should also have been prepared for the consequences of her action.

I am not saying he should divorce her but it is his decision to make.

Please how can one do a trial point run test online to know possible points accords to HND holders..
Your HND may likely be assessed to be equivalent to an Australian Associate Degree/Diploma.

You can calculate the point test with an Associate Degree.

If i get married to a PR/Citizen for PR, I intend to live wit that person oo.......
I can only come for her if I'm able to get PR via 180, .... Or other point test... But how easy will this be? thats my fair...

I dont think it will go down well if I marry her and afterword we ar not able to get PR...that means we ar coming back to Naija.

Suppose we ar already married before now, it would be a different thingy
Do you have a BSc?

Do you have work experience in your course?

What did you score in IELTS?

The truth is you can start the PR process if you positive answer to the questions I asked. You need not wait till after studies before applying for the PR you seek. The Spouse visa is a very long route that is tiring and too stressful according to what I have read.

For now, get enough evidences that can proof the relationship between the two of you. You will need them in your application. If you have the resources, let her get her own student visa to join you.

Whatever you decide to do, never marry a citizen with the sole aim of getting "Papers".

These people are not robots or machines, they are humans with emotions. Don't give false hope of marrying anyone for a selfish end. Don't turn anybody to a tool of achieving your personal ambition and later abandon them.

Except you want to marry the citizen because you want to live with her all your days, Do not follow that selfish and ungodly route.

OP,

Your friend should do a serious background check of his sister. I want to believe it isn't Kegite that she joined because violence is not a message preached by the said group.

It is either she has been initiated into a secret cult or she is a girlfriend of a Capone.

Meanwhile, the father was wrong to slap an adult but by tradition and morals, the girl committed a grave offense.

Since this is the period of CHANGE, she needs to CHANGE her ways, seek forgiveness from her father and ask him to pray/bless her.

Whoso curseth his father or his mother, his lamp shall be put out in obscure darkness. Proverbs 20:20

The father too should apologise to his daughter for the slap. It was a wrong approach to resolving the issue. He should find another effective way of correcting her erring daughter. Violence will only strengthen her already hardened heart....

Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged. Colossians 3:21

Since you have changed girlfriend.... Let her remain CHANGED..

Happy Sunday Bellong, hope all's well.

Actually I mostly disagree with your position - even if the wife if somewhat uncouth.

When a man marries a woman he is meant to cover and protect her. The first person he has to protect her from is herself, the second is himself and the third is everyone else. Her supposed uncouthness is his to deal with as part of his service to her.
I am doing great and fine.... Thanks for giving a detailed advice to the OP.

I actually didn't give any advice to the guy but to point out the error of his wife. No matter whether she is the first in the man's life or not, engaging an elder in a physical combat is an act of irresponsibility. I stand by this word.

The guy since being married to his wife has not really shown the leadership needed in his home, reason why what is happening is happening.

As you rightly said, he should protect his wife but the wife too should know the boundary not to cross.

Thanks for the piece of advice to him.

Have a great day.

Thanks, Cococandy. Your advice is always appreciated on this forum.
As to the reasons behind their animosity I cannot say but I do suspect my wife believes my mother is against her and may want to harm her.
The other women present tried to separate the fight to no avail. Even neighbours assisted but they just won't let go until I came.
I've always advised my wife to avoid any situation that would lead to a quarrel or fight with my mother. I guess she chose not to listen.
Your wife does not respect you. She knows your affection for her will always affect your sense of good judgement in being firm with decision.

If your MIL has not been abusive to her in the past, I see no reason why this simple issue should cause a world war. It only means your wife lacks respect for an elder. Even if your mum slap her without offending her, it is left for your wife to wait for you and not engage in physical combat with an old woman. What if something bad happened to any of them in the process?

You need to get to the root of the animosity between your mum and wife.

Above all, your wife acted like an untrained woman. Apologies to use the word.

I have read this work of fiction somewhere but can't remember the title.

Meanwhile, if a woman or man cannot trust a spouse of many years, I wonder the kind of union it is.
