Your partner = Your husband

I wonder why it has to become something to be posted to the social media before giving him. You guys are supposed to be one if the meaning of marriage is the same to you.

It shouldn't even get to the level where he is the one asking you for your password. Same for him as well. If husband and wife can't have access to each other's social media account, I wonder the type of relationship that is.

You should have told your mother-in-law to tell her son her wish because he is the one responsible for donating the Y-chromosome.

You have no say in the gender of a child but your husband. Whatever comes from him is what you will have.

slimyem: how many times will he wake him?
This is as good as being a night watchman. He'll never get any sleep.
Not really, some after adjusting sleeping position do not snore again. His room mate could be in that category.

Do you need a seer to tell you the answer to your question?

I wonder why you are still having a second thought about this issue. I wouldn't know how a boy can manage a full grown woman successfully without letting hell loose....

I hope you make the right decision for yourself.

mrsincredible: All my frnds are getting married and the pressure is too much cause I am 27years old. And I am not getting good admirers
One of the rules to stay happy in life is not to compare your life with others. Comparing themselves by themselves, they are not wise. There is what is called individual uniqueness. We are all different from another and can never be the same.

You have a unique and defined path in destiny which comparison can jettison it. Live your life being happy and not looking at how others run their race. Do not put yourself nor allow anyone to put you under pressure for marriage. Marriage is a beautiful thing when joined with the right person but it is hell when otherwise.

Be patient, prayerful and active with life, the right guy will come at the right time.
Family › Re: Places Where You Can Find A Serious Relationship by bellong: 12:16pm On Jan 05, 2014
mrsincredible: thanks. What about social networks?
The people on social networks are those offline. However, the issue there is, are you sharp enough to know genuine intention of people you meet on social media?

There are lot of people who met their spouses on social media and are happily married today. In like manner, there are so many stories that touch. If you understand the rules of engagement in relationship and social media hook up, I guess you will sail the ship.

In all you do, never ever let down on your own instinct and artificial intelligence. You will surely need them.

Family › Re: Places Where You Can Find A Serious Relationship by bellong: 11:29am On Jan 05, 2014
You can always meet people in your day to day activities. There is no restricted place to meet a potential spouse. All what you need is to keep developing and adding values to yourself while waiting.

Most of the beautiful things that happened to us came when we least expected them. Do not put yourself under any pressure for a relationship, when you meet the right guy, you will find peace with him and God.

Meanwhile, you can do well to be active in your church, official get together, connections and links from friends, wedding parties etc....

It is well

Not until you decide to walk with God yourself, you will keep getting confused about a lot of issues. Choosing a life partner is only one of many events that will confuse you.

What exactly do you understand by prophecy and vision? How do you think God operates in the lives of people? What are the things you think you should watch out for in a potential spouse? If you can't answer any of these from God's word, then I can assure you, confusion is an understatement about your present situation.

NB: Be sure that if you had slept with the lady in question, it will surely affect the spiritual perception of your prophet except he is meticulous enough to probe further.

The issue of marriage is your cross to bear and not for any pastor or seer....
This isn't in the past yet. They still do it. Anytime I'm in the same place as them, I'll get beaten for my so-called "offense" all in the name of discipline. And I dare not talk back.
Miss, they still beat you at your age because you have not found courage to stand up to them. When next they raise their hand to beat you, stand up to them. It will take them by surprise.

You will be threatened with discontinuity of your school fees, do not bother, only statement born out of shock. You are at a stage where you have to confront your demon. Overcome your fear, stand up to their aggression and torture. I wish you could be as stubborn as I was in your age to deliver myself from parental ignorance of suppression. It should get to a point where you need to ask if they are truly your parents.

Sis, this battle can be won before leaving their house finally. No parents have the right to become a dictator over their children. Their duty is to lead their children in the right path to follow while children chart their own course.

If they quote you bible to honour your parents, show them the part that instructed parents not to provoke their children to anger. The right time to confront your demon is now.

Family › Re: Advice Needed! by bellong: 4:03pm On Dec 31, 2013
ellamines: Bellong, you are not helping either. Of course a woman must support her husband in every way that she can but is d man ready to support d woman in this case? Or will his ego get in the way and suddenly remind him that he's d man of the house? For instance, when a woman brings in more money, it's not an issue but when the man has to help out with some other stuff like say house chores when the woman is not available, it appears on the headlines (big issue). So what would u advise? This person needs help, so if you have any, offer it. Don't be harsh.
There is no way I can advise someone without any information about the character of the man involved. That was why Efemena said you didn't give enough information.

I do not know the man nor your friend/you to know whether the man will see it as a big deal. My sister, you are the one not helping matter here. Can you talk about the person of the man?

ellamines: Bellong, speaking from a woman's view, I think it may be too much for her to handle. If a woman is going to be the bread winner of a home, carry pregnancies and bring forth children, wouldn't it be too much a load for her? Would it b just as easy to submit to your husband under these conditions?
Though you have not answered my questions, I will respond to what you raised. Is a woman not supposed to be an help meet to her husband? How then will the person you mentioned become the breadwinner when the husband is not jobless?

The fact that she earns more money in salary does not make her the breadwinner. How sure are you the man doesn't have other means of income to supplement what he has?

If you/your friend cannot look at the bigger picture in a man's life other than money in marriage, I am afraid you may miss the best thing union can afford.

Op,

What do you understand about marriage?

What are the real things to consider in marriage? I am not talking about ephemeral things you listed here.

If you can answer these two questions, I will take it from there.
