Car Talk › Re: Nigerians Dont Care About High Mileage? - Is It True by bellong: 9:23am On Dec 17, 2013
IdaraCHODB: Related and relevant question, its a Carfax 1 Owner Vehicle but it also has Accident/Damage reported but it looks good and runs good. Its a 2004 year vehicle and it has 130,000 on the odometer and there is no indication of an odometer rollback. Would you buy?
I wouldn't buy because I have no idea of the type of accident whether it is a structural damage or another. You can always get an issue free car for the same price.

udumosam23: Her husband was short dead in 2005 by the joint military task force accidentally, she cried for justice but was ignored, she sued the state govt. But could not get justice as the case still lingers for the past five years. I came back home and find her in a very terrible condition
I wish I can help.
Case like this should be given to those human rights activists lawyers who understand how to use every sentiment wiping media. Could you please answer the questions asked?
Car Talk › Re: Nigerians Dont Care About High Mileage? - Is It True by bellong: 9:13am On Dec 17, 2013
La mexx: Do you consider a 2006 car with mileage of 131,000 as high mileage too. Urgently awaiting your response guys.
I think the average mileage per year is even 15k and not 10k. What you should consider now is if most of the mileage are highway mileage. Some car owners purposely drive their vehicles to transverse states or coast to coast.

US is a big country with vast of miles to cover. If the car is well maintained with the periodic maintenance done, its not a bad bargain. However, you can still push your luck for a $14k/$14.5 price.

Chillisauce: You never see anything. Very tiny difference between most Nigerians and animals in Africa.
Animals in western world behaves and have morals more than an average Nigerians. grin
Like the lion that attacked and killed her welfare officer in a Californian zoo to mention only one..

I know that what you typed up there is a joke. However, you wrote it forgetting that you and the person you quoted are both average Nigerians at best... grin grin Do I take the statement to include you? grin grin grin

Mai pride: Why do bad things happen to good people sometimeshuh?

#teardrops#

Life really do sucks!!!
The same reason why good things happen to bad people sometimes....

The creator of the universe permits everyone irrespective of character to enjoy freely the sun, air, moon rain etc. He also allows everyone to pass through one trial or the other that no flesh may boast before Him...

Life is not a straight line curve but with bends, ups and downs forming an irregular curve. What will separate you from the others is the positive you take from negative experiences....

Weep not dear sister, it is well.....

Miner13: Nop.
Still with her parent coz the husband threaten to do something silly if they try sending her without a change.
Well, if this action achieves what he wants and the two can live happily ever after, then he did what is right for his home. I only hope he did it with the right intent.

I wish them both speedy recovery from this impasse and hope they both learn from their mistakes for a happy ending. That's all that matters now. Crying over spilled milk counts as nothing but forging ahead from here is what matters.

If you know the guy, advise him to seek a periodic report from the wife's family so they know he is still interested in their daughter except for her attitude. I wish them goodluck

LILBIMS: Hello everyone have been following this thread for a while and its really a good and educative thread, there has been this thing bothering my mind, I actually got engaged a lady that was depressed before she met me and the cause of her depression was that her ex Bf BROKE her heart
How did the ex-boyfriend leave her? There is something about the guy that she is still holding on to. She is yet to let go hence her constant depression because of him.

Well, she will need to see a therapist as advised.

Family › Re: Could This Be Tagged As Genuine Love? by bellong: 10:33am On Dec 15, 2013
Yemlizzy: Only men with strong hearts will stick to such a lady. Its just so rare in Nigeria to be candid, for such a decision to made by a man. Love truly hurts, there are always other options to be taken, yes thats true, but how many men want to father a child that truly isn't theirs if one advises them to adopt a baby. Be sincere, what would you do if you find yourself in such a situation?
If it is Love, it is pure and does not hurt. There is no fear nor hurt in Love. He that is hurt or has fear is not made perfect in love.

Family › Re: Pls,i Need Advice On What To Do,am Not Happy. by bellong: 8:47pm On Dec 14, 2013
Lilyluv028: Tell u the truth am just scared because a friend of mine i gave birth before her,her baby has started walking,so why is my own different.i cry everyday for God to answer my prayer.
First parenting mistake... Never ever compare your child with another, its a blunder that kills the child's self-esteem. If you do not stop this comparison at this early stage, it will sink into your sub-conscious and you will keep comparing the poor boy with his peers as time goes on. With time, you will remind him of how he couldn't walk fast like his contemporaries and how sluggish he is with life.

Please, I urge you not to ever compare your child with another. Every child is unique and take to life in their own time. Parents are only to guide them in the path to follow that do not lead to destruction and not to raise standard of achievement for them.

Even the popular baby website "babycenter.com", has this caveat in all their developmental write up, "Remember, your baby is an individual. All babies are unique and meet milestones at their own pace. Developmental guidelines simply show what your baby has the potential to accomplish — if not right now, then soon. If your baby was premature, keep in mind that kids born early usually need a bit more time to meet their milestones. If you have any questions at all about your baby's development, ask your healthcare provider."

Mrs, nothing is wrong with your baby since medical professionals have given him a clean bill of health. Be patient, you will be surprised that when he starts to walk, he will dare what those that started before him can't do.

Please and please, stop the comparison..
Family › Re: Parents And Their Archaic Mentality by bellong: 7:04pm On Dec 14, 2013
I hope you have actually tried to learn and understand the precept and path they want you to walk. Whatever you think is archaic they are doing to you, they only want the best for you. Why not have a parent-daughter discussion with your parents about their parenting methods if it displease you that much?

If you have been reading the book you termed easily deceived, you would have been good enough to educate them on some things and straighten out certain areas with them.

Meanwhile, by the time you become a mother someday, do not be disturbed when your children call your parenting methods archaic and stupid when you are trying your all to make their life better. Whatever a man sows, he reaps in abundance
Family › Re: Pls,i Need Advice On What To Do by bellong: 6:58pm On Dec 14, 2013
You don't have to panic, some children are late starters while some are early starters. The first step to do is to see a paediatrician for a thorough check to ascertain it is not a medical problem. If he is given a clean bill of health, be patient he will walk when he is ready to.

You can however encourage him with a walker. Although the Canadian association of Paeditricians kick against walker for babies. In all, do not be disturbed nor panic, he will walk when he is ready to..
Family › Re: Pls,i Need Advice On What To Do,am Not Happy. by bellong: 6:58pm On Dec 14, 2013
Eyop: @ Bellong she said the baby has not even started crawling so that's why i advice is not normal for 1year.
There is nothing abnormal about it. Some babies are very lazy and fearful, they even find it difficult to crawl. Her baby is not the first neither will he be the last.

It is not everytime we ascribe spiritual challenges to issues. She needs to be sure if it is not a medical problem before exploiting other options. Yes, I believe in prayers
Family › Re: I Need Advice Plssssssssssss by bellong: 6:53pm On Dec 14, 2013
Have a discussion with him on where the relationship is heading to.

You should also know that no sane man will think of marriage if he is facing financial challenges. Nevertheless, he should be able to tell you his plans for the future. So, I will say discuss it with him and let it be a frank talk, not emotional taunt.
