Happy New day to all....

Reading through comments in the politics section, Facebook posts, online newspaper posts and all other discussion forums about Nigerian politics, I realised that this young generation is more depraved than those old men who plunged the country into economic misery and infrastructural deficiencies...

When issues are raised, we rather attacked the messenger than address the message. How can there be solution to problems when we choose not to address issues but personalities..

Which way forward Nigeria. I weep for this my generation of warped minds and thinking. Whatever, I still believe the nation will flourish in my lifetime.

taryour: @ efe and cc. You need to see when a to be bride is begging me to please deliver her wedding cake cause I usually wunt deliver the cake till I get my full payment but what can I dohuh
Before them label me a witch for ruining their day and making them have a wedding celebration without a wedding cake.
I really don't know debtors live with peace in their hearts.
When you start to ask for your money, they will eventually call you that "witch" you were avoiding.

In business, there is no friend nor foe but business interest. Whoever decides to celebrate already budgeted money for it, hence make them pay. I wouldn't be surprised if you had insisted, she would have paid you. She probably heard somewhere that you are santa claus and will surely be swayed by emotional appease...

Be tough sis..
Family › Re: Guys Can You Propose To A Lady Afer 3months Of Dating/ladies Can You Say Yes? by bellong: 5:56pm On Dec 12, 2013
Depends on the mechanism you employed in understanding and understudying the person in question. Even if you stay in courtship for eons without adopting the right measures, it will still not be enough.

Yes, you can propose within three months of meeting a lady if only you know what you want and what to look out for in a woman away from frivolities. I proposed to my wife within 3months of meeting her. I have got no time for long courtship.

@Phema.. You have a good heart girl..
I love the way you answer people's questions and also help them out with their budgets..
That's very kind of you..
I never knew that planning a wedding can be this stressful..
My wedding is on 2nd Jan 2014..
Lol.. Yea i know it's already close..
But I'm having the wedding jitters..
I'm scared mehn, sometimes i feel like it's just a dream..
That I'm not about to lose my freedom and privacy.
. Lol
And the date is close already..
May God help us all..
The bolded part is a false understanding of what a blissful union is. Marriage does not take away your freedom and privacy if joined with the right partner, it strengthens and builds it.
Family › Re: Should I Employ My Ex Girlfriend's Hubby In My Company? by bellong: 9:28pm On Dec 11, 2013
As advised, the best shot you have at helping him is if you can fix in a different company from yours.

Meanwhile, do all you can to cut off communication with the lady. She may become desperate one day to do what is not pleasant. By that time, you would have gone far with her and it will be a story that touch.

Flee from every APPEARANCE of EVIL...

What is there to pray about? That God should change him or what? My sister God cannot be mocked. Every man will live with the consequences of his/her choice. With all the glaring evidences prior to the wedding, she shook her head and expecting God to perform magic?

There is a reason God did not create robots but Humans with BRAIN
Family › Re: Can A Fiancee Beater Change In A Marriage? by bellong:
What a joy wrenching and destiny killing advice from the sister...

My brother, if he is beating her now, nothing will make him change but will rather become more terrible. However, the guy will change if he encounters God in his life which no one can bank on how ready he is for such encounter..

If she were my sister, my advice will be, the guy will not change. The decision is for her to make, if she goes ahead, whatever she faces in the union is for her to carry.

funkybaby: You can check out this site. My cousin got her wedding gown from them. http://www.jjshouse.com

She spoke highly of the quality and the fit.

1k to try on a wedding dress huh Seriously!!! WTF!
I agree with this. I ordered a wedding gown including shoes and accessories for a friend from this site and it was awesome... The only thing you need is to make sure you have the correct measurement because they usually sew the gown after its ordered.
Family › Re: Would Be Brides; Come In, Let's Plan Together! by bellong: 7:57pm On Dec 09, 2013
salt 1: Havila bridals at Ikeja and Benkol bridals are good but somewhat pricy shops. Benkol has tiaras too.
But if you don't mind the stress, go to Azikiwe street, Marina. There are many wedding shops. You will buy the wedding gown at half the price, but it may be Turkey not American.
Please don't blame the shops that insist you pay before trying. Wedding gowns are delicate. If sweaty people keep trying and taking off, the dress will look old and no bride-to-be would like to buy it
I wish you a happy married life
When it comes to Textile, I give it to the Turkish than the Americans. I would rather buy clothing materials made in Turkey than buy from the USA.

Or is there power struggles ish going on between y'all altogether? I don't get it. This is stylishly nerve wrecking.

Could you please explain what you mean by power struggles and what is nerve wrecking?

How will you marry someone you can't trust with everything in the first place? For marrying a lady you can't or don't trust shows that you already planned your home for failure from the beginning. The marriage is dead on arrival. If you can't trust your own good judgement before marrying someone, why would you marry in the first place? No matter what, truth will always prevail over lies and darkness.

That being said, I took my time before settling for my wife, I knew the decision to marry involves being opened about everything including money. She knows how much I earn and not only that, she has knows all my ATM pins. I did not marry a devil, why hide something from her?
Family › Re: My Brother Want To Marry A Widow With Three Children by bellong: 5:01pm On Dec 09, 2013
Your brother is an adult and he is not making the decision under the influence of alcohol or "jazz".

The best you can do is to explain to him the challenges that will come with marrying her. The big challenge is not that she is a widow but with three children. He will need extra patience and also exhibit high level of maturity in helping raising those children along with his own.

If he understands all the challenges involved in raising children, it will be in the interest of you all to let him be and make his decision. Afterall, you will not live with his family...

True love is being committed to others' earthly welfare and eternal wellbeing. If it makes you sin, it is not love.

What the girl did is not love but stupidity and infatuation. If her plan had been successful initially and later caught, she would end up in prison with her unreasonable boyfriend.

My mother-in-law lost her younger brother and his wife last Saturday in an accident around Ilorin. The place of the accident is just about 15mins to reach their house. They were coming from Lagos...

Its a sad month for the family but we take solace in His words that "He takes the righteous away lest he see corruption.."

When beating a wife is involved, the husband loses all credibility except it is a reprisal action (Although I do not support this either). Madam, you have been reasonably advised, make sure you protect yourself from STD and prevent yourself from being turned to boxing apparatus.

It is well
Family › Re: Must You See A Pastor Before Choosing A Life Partner? by bellong: 6:00pm On Dec 02, 2013
therealMcCain: pls relate what u wrote with the topic at hand, if the lady decides to stick with what most folks are saying abt not informing ones pastor, how then will she know??

Aren't u getting it, the pastor knows a lot about his/her members, & when brought into the picture on time, he/she can save u a lot of heartache

the guy is impotent & the sister is not aware but pastor is, they both plan their marriage without informing pastor(as most people are saying here) how will the pastor now advice them??

Some folks print their wedding card before informing pastor of their wedding while others will do traditional first before involving the church?? So if there was a hidden issue how will the pastor intercede.

haven't u heard of cases where the guy was treating STD & the bride was not aware & he suddenly says he want a to marry?? If the pastor was not involved, how can he counsel them??

Pls I'm against taking pictures to a pastor or giving names to a pastor, you'll be playing with fire, that's why I said stay in one place and grow!!

we have had cases where the either spouse had a child or was previously married or currently married but in another state or vicinity, their plan was to hide it from their spouse, if the wedding plans was hid from the pastor, how then can they be of help??

So involving them is for your good, YOUR PASTOR, not prayer house or pastor friend or Pentecostal native doctors!! (o yeah they exist)
The epistle you wrote up here has not solved the fundamental question I raised. Must someone who called himself a christian see a pastor for speaking truth with each other?

Why can't the guy declare his status to the girl and why can't the pastor advise the guy to tell her the truth? WHy must they see the pastor before setting stuff in perspective.

Such attitude is not godly and we are not so learned of Christ..
Family › Re: Must You See A Pastor Before Choosing A Life Partner? by bellong: 7:52pm On Dec 01, 2013
therealMcCain: I'm a leader in church and I know the burden people share with us, imagine the following scenario

1. The guy is impotent and he hasn't told the lady in qxn, and the pastor is aware & maybe they are believing God for a miracle (pastor + the guy)

imagine the lady getting married without informing the pastor!!
The guy is impotent, he hasn't told the lady he is engaged to, the pastor is aware and believing God for a miracle? What example and foundation is your pastor laying? I will say their silence is criminal and ungodly.

The lady has the the right to know about his impotent status without even wasting time praying. It is another case entirely if the lady decides to be believing God with him.

Your pastor is helping the guy lay a false foundation of deception and insincerity. He is a christian and should act as one, sincerity and truth are essential part of christian living..
Family › Re: Must You See A Pastor Before Choosing A Life Partner? by bellong: 2:43pm On Nov 29, 2013
Godmouth: We do have the mind of Christ and by His spirit we know all things. However you are talking in disregard to shepherds that God has placed over his people. A shepherd can be deceived yes: but there are true shepherds out there. Honestly I have seen more men and women intending to get married deceived than shepherds themselves. God can speak to people about their life partners but He places shepherds over them and what I am trying to say is that He chooses to reveal such an important issue as marriage through shepherds. Cos even though one has the mind of Christ (emotions are very powerful) which can cloud the judgement of any believer when seeking God.

In addition, God speaks only to those who take him seriously: James 4 vs 8. So it's not just about being a Christian and having the mind of Christ: but by having a solid walk/relationship with God.
You are still not getting the point. Is there any place I have claimed there is no genuine minister of the gospel? Even the genuine ones can still be deceived when you both placed idols in your heart.... If you cannot pray to God yourself about the issue of marriage, how can you pray to God when you are confronted with storms of life in the marriage?

Read Ezekiel chapter 14 to understand what I am saying
