Midasola: @ bellong: thanks for the contributions to this thread.
One question please: how do you get TAX ID?
It is Tax Identification Number (TIN). Walk into any FIRS office, you will be given. It is free of charge.

amtheone: Thanks Bellong.

After the first transaction I will know from his behaviours. U know my brother, some people can really be funny by thinking that they know more than their teacher - Lol.

Because my wife is like are u sure that this guy will pay u what he promised after the deal is done.

So, let's See how it goes.
Alright, way to go. Just be careful with the deal.

amtheone: Thanks Bellong.

Why the guy is so happy is that he didn't know that he can import directly from China without having to leave Nigeria. Because the "big boys" who are into the importation of this very product made it almost impossible for others to venture into it.

Again, I think I will let him have a free ride at a fee by exposing him to the whole process.

The market here in Nigeria is big enough to accommodate many.
Thanks once again.
You are welcome bro. One thing is, you can collect the finding fee and still try to negotiate how you can get along with him along the course of the business. He still doesn't know how it works well and the nitty gritty of online communication. In essence, the guy may probably need you after the first one.

You can also consider kreami.diva offer but beware of lawyers ooo.. grin grin grin grin that is a joke.

Omerian Consult: l mean your happiest day on earth. We all have dreams...
Yes, I have told you the truth. Nothing is a big deal to me. I have this personal belief that whatever I achieve, I am not the first person neither will I be the last. So I am not freaked about anything.

Invariably, I am happy with and about everything I attain, none is bigger than the other.

To Anonymous,

You are in a situation which is simple and at the same time hard depending on where you stand. It is hard and difficult for you because of your position as a minister of the word. Hence, you believed you have betrayed the trust of your church members and people who hold you in high esteem.

To acknowledge your error and mistake is the first step in amending your ways with God. You have the large percentage of the problem so also your wife is to share in the blame. The devil only needs a very tiny space in our lives to accomplish his havoc. You and your wife gave him that long rope when you stopped praying together and when ungodly interferences set in. We all know the devil has only three simple mission, to kill, steal and destroy. That he has started in your home and ministry. However, hope is not lost.

There is no short cut to this issue, restitution must be made. You cannot cover sin with sin. bible says he that covereth his sin shall not prosper. Let your wife know what went wrong as well as the senior pastor in your church. Make amend with God for mercy and be ready to face whatever disciplinary measure the church will give you. You are not the first person for this to happen to neither will you be the last person. Infact, there are several minsiters in such mess but refused to open up, they are covering their multitude of sin. The difference is you will have eternal peace and comfort with God compared to the others.

It is well with you and may the Lord grant you grace and mercy to be able to stand this storm of life.

PS: Please do not let the other woman abort and help her in the path to restoration with God as you do too. Do not forget to do a DNA test if you have any doubt about any of the pregnancies.

Since you are involving a lawyer, that is a good step in right direction. Mgbeke, may have sound harsh but what she told you is basically the truth.

The easiest way for you to block the behind the scene move of the financier later is to negotiate with the company to make you the sole distributor for Nigeria. I am not sure if Chinese will do that. You can try it anyway.

In between, it will be better the thread is moved to business section.

Goodluck to you

There is no happiest day in my diary. Everyday is for a purpose and living it according to the Volume written of me.

However, I will not be present to celebrate what I will tag the happiest day of my life. That is the day I will be called

home, when it shall be said to me, welcome to the Joy and kingdom of thy God.

Well i am expecting my documents today as the freight forwarder has sent my documents via Fedex. Since the vessel has berth yesterday, hope to start the clearing process ASAP. Now, where to get a good customs clearing agent ? Hmmm !!! undecided undecided
Congrats. Next time, use a better freight forwarder. The documents should have arrived even before the ship enters Lagos.

Enjoy your ride

Haba, a day old baby is not that big except he is above 4kg. Na wa for una oo... For all the mystery babies born in Nigeria, none was born in the hospital where concrete evidence can be gotten.

@poster, God is not an author of confusion. Situation like this, the picture should be taken immediately the baby is born to substantiate claims. The tesbit is not even covered with blood.

Religion is a disease that keeps people in intellectual bondage.
Family › Re: What's So Special About Twins??? by bellong: 8:58am On Jul 15, 2013
I practically grew up with twins all around me. My elder sisters are twin, had twins in my secondary school and university as friends and still keep the friendship with the one from the university.

My sisters are identical and I grew up with people always asking me how do I identify one from the other. I was always like, they do not look alike, so I couldn't answer their questions. Kai, my sisters are so stubborn, they are like men. You dare not intrude in their affairs, especially when they are quarreling, they will turn it on you.

Our Kehinde is gentle but full of fire when crossed while Taiwo is the opposite, always on high pedestal of violence. She doesn't take things easy at all, it takes patience, endurance and wisdom to understand her password while growing up. I think am the only one in the house that has her password till date. Growing up with them was like war and endless competition which made me not to want twins as children. I salute my mum for the great work she did.

The twins in my secondary are another case on their own. I remember when senior beats one, the other will be crying wherever he is and if asked why, he will tell you he is sniffing beating. Meaning he can smell that his twin brother is being beaten. When one offends, because they are identical, they do serve the punishment together. The offender will claim he is not the one while other will claim same. Seniors would just punish the two of them to resolve issue. Very funny.

I like twins but can't handle the nature of my sisters, they were burning fire while growing up.

tzars: I hope that what you are telling me is the case. Since the dealer said he has an agent to do the clearing and that he has sent the BOL to the agent, I was just inquiring to get a clear picture of the possible date of arrival in Lagos as am not in a position to call the dealer right now. Thanks for your input.
I made the contribution on assumption that you are handling it yourself. Since the dealer already assured you of the delivery, give him your trust and await his performance.

Goodluck and enjoy the ride

Femmy2010 has told you the possible scenario. The Grand Gabon already berth. I hope you don't end up paying demurrage because by now, ur BOL should be with your agent for the clearing process.

Next time, use a good freight forwarder. Goodluck

^^^ Once a car is loaded, it takes between 16-21 days to reach Lagos from New York/New Jersey, either on Grimaldi or any other line. I don't think any of their vessel moved that date. According to the schedule I have, no plan for the date you mentioned

I agree that she can make the atmosphere less provocative next time but telling her to only pray does not work.

Prayer is good but God expects us to do our part too. The husband needs help urgently on controlling his anger before the wife becomes another Arowolo.

steph7: get him help, if she even suggests he needs help she will get another round of beating. Please OP didn't u notice this trait while dating him, sorry to say your husband is an animal, how on earth would someone use a stabilizer to hit another person, he could have killed you. Please get your act together and leave him !!
Yes, she can help him get help. Its not compulsory she tells him directly to seek for help with his temperament. The man is her husband, she knows him better on how to tame him. She is yet to exploit her resources to that.
Family › Re: Was I Wrong? by bellong: 1:53pm On Jul 12, 2013
Mrs, as much as I do not support nor condone your husband's physical abuse, its important we understand the tone and manner with which you addressed him resulting to beating.

Any man that cannot think of any other solution in resolving issues with his wife other than beating is as good as being sent on a long journey in the prison. It is barbaric and crude. However, from your post, I can see that you are yet to master your husband in exploiting his weak avenue to come to compromise with you on issues. Yesterday was not the first time he beats you and may not be the last time if you keep using the same means of calling his attention to wrongs. In a situation like this, you adopt becoming a monkey to catch a monkey style. You alone understand your husband deeply. I know there is an appealing angle you can get him over to you.

Obviously, your husband do not believe he is doing a barbaric thing by beating you, there is no advice that can be given to him here. He is not even reading. The advice will be for you to not fuel anything that can raise his adrenalin to use force on you (your life is very very important) so swallow your pride and ego, resist argument leading to physical abuse with him for now. He needs psychological help and a brain reset about dealing with his wife. Get him help before he becomes a serial abuser.

Lastly, there is no way you refused to forgive someone and you think you can live in peace? It is not possible. Due to your accumulating hatred, whatever he does now will be shit to you and the resentment will only keep growing. Its not good for your health. Even if he changes, the seed of hatred and unforgiven heart to him you have will blind you to it. Find a place in your heart to forgive him and heal of the hurt, its the first step to restoration. Have you ever discussed this action of his with him?

Family › Re: Am I A Bad Child ? by bellong: 11:15am On Jul 12, 2013
Starting with the "thrifty" nature you described about your mum. You expressly stated that she was a civil servant, though you never gave us hint about her level in civil service. You have told us that she is the religious type and also hinted she has plans for business/investment ventures which collapsed. In putting the bits of information together, I can come up with this below.

I know in civil service that workers are paid peanut during your mum's days and she being the religious type may not want to cut corners like her colleagues in the office, hence being very economical with the little she had. She probably is in the believe that you have no need of the pocket money since you eat at home. She felt, it could be better put into reasonable ventures than allowing you squander it. I do not believe she has or had any evil/negative intention against you during your upbringing. Deep down her, she wanted the best for you though she may be expressing it in a wrong and inappropriate way. I guess that was what she thought the best way to do it. You will agree with me that your dad's distance also is a big psychological stuff to handle in catering for you and your siblings. Fear of financial management and trying to meet up with basic responsibilities from the money given by your dad and what she earns. There is no pointer in your story that she is the wasteful and owanbe type who wastes money on frivolities. I am convinced if she had a good financial advisor, those money today will be reaping you and your siblings good fortune. You need not heap the whole blame on her entirely for her wrong investment decision.

Your dad may be keeping up with his responsibilities financially but from your described story, he has failed in some others as a father. If at this time, you do not have that confidence in talking the truth with your dad as son to father, it means the emotional and father-son friendship bond was not created by your dad which is one of the many moral, social and psychological responsibilities expected of him. From your post, the only reason why you have that huge respect for him is the fact that he never failed in his financial responsibilities. To be a dad is more than dropping money. The distance too directly/indirectly affected your mum and her decisions, if only you can sit with her and let her reminisce the past with you, you will understand this part.

Your mum trusted you as her son and probably respects your sense of judgement on issues, that was why she was convinced that if you speak with your dad, it may bring forth positive change but you turned it down. Let me tell you, in dealing with your parents, its a parent-child relationship in which every party is expected to speak the truth to all respectfully. There is nothing wrong in talking to your dad about it, what will be wrong is if you are rude and disrespectful about it. Infact, if you do it, your dad will respect and hold you in high esteem for it. Your refusal may have broken her heart and she in turn resorting to cold war (that is wrong for her to do as a mother).

I will urge you that you do not allow whatever negativity you have in your upbringing to affect a glorious destiny ahead of you. Pray, use wisdom, read books that help character formation and keep friends who can help build you up in your attainment to becoming a better person. Please, do not transfer aggression to innocent young girls, its no fault of theirs that you had a problem growing up. Do not date anybody now until you are sure that you are in a right mind and spirit to nurture a relationship to fruition.

Finally, pick up your phone, call your mum and apologise. Tell her you were sorry you turned her down when she needed you and fix an appointment to have a discussion with her. She is older now than when you used to have a fruitless discussion, she will be open to it. If she accepts, tell her your mind and let her understand why you are doing that. I believe you will be better after it. In between you are not a bad child.

It is well with you
