Christianity is just a state of mind and conveniently so.

If you all read the scriptures with open mind may be we should not be here exchanging harsh words. I have noticed the deliberate effort to always translate Quranic quotes upside down without any consideration for sincere analysis. Despite my belief that the bible is adulterated i never seek to ridicule some of your quotes from it as a sign of respect for what you choose to believe. What am saying here is next time you come across Quranic passage, please try to understand the meaning very well even if you disagree.

When a man dies and his relatives are busy in funeral, there stands an extremely handsome man by his head. When the dead body is shrouded, that man gets in between the shroud and the chest of the deceased. When after the burial, the people return home, 2 angels, Munkar and Nakeer (names of two special Angels), come in the grave and try to separate this handsome man so that they may be able to interrogate the dead man in privacy about his faith.
But the handsome man says, "He is my companion, he is my friend. I will not leave him alone in any case. If you are appointed for interrogation, do your job. I cannot leave him until I get him admitted into Paradise".

After the interrogation of Munkar and Nakeer you will have no grief. When the interrogation is over, the handsome man arranges for him from Al-Mala'ul A'laa (the angels in heaven) a silk bedding filled with musk.

Rasulullah (Sallallaahu 'alaihe wasallam) said: "On the Day of Judgment, before Allah, no other intercessor will have a greater status than the Qur'an, neither a Prophet nor an angel

Hannydarl, can you tell me what you d rather have as a woman in heaven? Before you answer that i assure that a woman shall also get all she desired in heaven and if the love of her life here on earth happen to be there too she d rather get connected back with him. You know we are talking about real husband and wife here, so what are you saying?

i would love to have replied all of you but i noticed some deliberate attempt at falsehood by Havila and Maliki, i dont need to go after an exercise in futility. Mr Havila as always choose to create some unreasonable and flimpsy excuses to tarnish islam just because he had to do it not for any sensible purpose.

Ibadur Rahman or rather the servants of God are basic descriptions of pious muslims and i dont see how that can be confusing to any responsible adult. Allah SWT in the Holy Book always uses the appellations We and Us to refer to His majesty and the muslims are well aware of that so if that confused you mr shahan its basically because you are not a muslim and nothing else.

You guys are derailing my topic with your deliberate policy of side tracking on serious issues. Tell us what makes you believe that Jesus the wonderful son of Mary is your own God. Tell us about the fate of those generation that passed away before the "Gods" mother became pregnat and finally delivered him. There were born and taken away before the arrival of the Lord himself. hannydarl, i didnt get to read your post on time as i was away for Sallah Holiday with Madam and my kids. Am sure if you can ask any muslim woman you can find around you, she should gladly tell you how wonderful and sweet it is to be a muslim woman. I think you should consider it too. There is nothing like being a muslim, We thank God for His guidance.

I always noticed this unwarranted anger and hatred in your replies to Bro. Olabowale and the rest of us. It is gradually becoming a vindication of your vulnerability in defending your blindly followed deity. You are only christians because you never had options at childhood and you now realised that you are stucked with it and so had to defend it. But Christianity doesnt make sense at all and we all know that. we said it subtly because we are fully convinced about what we are saying but you reply aggressively and harshly because you lack real substances in your arguements.

David what i dont understand is that you want me to become a christian or what?. i only need some insight about christianity and thats what i call learning. I am also a comparative religion scholar, if you know what i mean.

Onikunkewu, you are not alone in this journey of truth. If the Bible truly have some contradictions and different versions, we truly deserve to know. If Kewu got it wrong, someone should please correct him. We are tired of David and pataki attacking persons instead of addressing the issues.

Prizeless thanks for the insight. My faith and belief in God and the mystery behind Him is never shaken. My only point of observation is that This God must be Omni-potent, all powerfull, superb beyond our wildest imagination. He created everything and made everything to work.

Having this in mind i just cant undermined Him by reducing to the level of a human being born by a woman. I was wondering who was God before his birth and what shall happen to those that died before the birth of Jesus. Who could be their own God. Ofcourse Jesus was a wonderful man with lot of beautiful messages from God. Where then did the confusion set in as to who really is the God. How can Biblical passages justify his being God or Son of God when we already knew who he is and who gave birth to him. There is no doubt he is a great man, a man of God and great conveyor of messages from God, but he is definitely not GOd

But i should have known that. Knowing the Truth is consistence with having faith and belief while learning is a continuos process of knowing other things, meeting new people, hearing new perspectives, and basically getting more knowledgeable.
