Islam for Muslims / Re: Muslim Marriage by belloti(m): 7:28pm On Jun 23, 2008
Are the sisters only interested in helping someone from the states or are we suggesting some sort of match making here?
Islam for Muslims / Kudos To A Great Sister by belloti(m): 7:20pm On Jun 23, 2008
The fact that this islamic thread had so far resisted expulsion and maintained its vibrancy is pointer to the determination and dedication of some of our muslim brothers and sisters like Babs, Olabowale, mustay and mukina.

I was so engrossed with facebook when mukina dragged me back to the fold. i want to say this is where i belong. Thanks Muki.

Islam for Muslims / Re: Muslims: What Did You Learn In Islam Recently? by belloti(m): 9:13pm On Jan 18, 2008
Muki, Am highly impressed by your very educative contributions here. May Allah Subhanahu wa Ta ala rewards you abundantly together with our fellow brothers and sisters here, Amen. Babs has done quite a lot too. so also our dear mdsocks and the rest.

We should be educating ourselves regularly in line with islamic teachings. Insha Allah Islam shall triumph.
Religion / Re: Bounties Of Jannat (paradise) by belloti(m): 9:05pm On Jan 18, 2008
May be i should chip in now. I noticed a lot of deliberate misconception and distortions on some replies. Its being quite glaring that most members on nairaland came in with a harden mindset and not ready to compromise even where evidences are overwhelming.

Bounties of Jannat is a descriptive analysis of what awaits the believers and those who follows the right path. It never attempt to specifically identifies those people. But the truth is very clear and if you are bad and dirty, you most likely knows what you are doing and what not to expect. i believe our conducts on earth should justify our expectations in the hereafter regardless of what we outwardly profess.

Anyway, i was just told that i might be talking to some bunch of fools who are deliberately out to condemn islam nd anything islamic but i have my reservation about this.
Religion / Re: Do Christians And Muslims Have The Same Heaven : Frankly No! They Don't by belloti(m): 3:38pm On Jan 07, 2008
I always thought christian dont believe in heaven but then that was how they potray themselves. The Absolute truth is that ONLY muslims goes to heaven, all other acts of paganism in whichever name is destined for HELL.
Islam for Muslims / Re: Islam The Religion Of Doom by belloti(m): 3:28pm On Jan 07, 2008
You guys are here again. Just keep going in circles. You dont know a hoot about Islam and frankly the truth is that you are doomed to hell , wa iyazu billah. i suggest you get to know more about islam from the available literatures if you want to save your hide.
Islam for Muslims / Re: Why Do Muslim Guys Prefer To Date Christians Girls? by belloti(m): 11:34am On Nov 22, 2007
We are not getting anywhere with this kind of mischievious counter accusations. Fornication is fornication no matter which faithful is committing it but the questions here are; how did the author of this topic arrived at his conclusion and how did he get us trying to explain it? The answer to this is that we all seem to agree to the title of the topic we are discussing here.
Politics / Re: Chavez And Ahmedinejad: World Political Comedians by belloti(m): 3:09pm On Nov 21, 2007
Funny how u guyz wrote so much in apparent support for an attack of whichever kind on a sovereign country. Whatever good american government is doing should not be a justification for hurting innocent muslims or watever civilians. We shall condemn any act of aggression with the same voice we condemn terrorism and violence. Lets go for absolute peace in this much endangered world of ours to help in picking up the little pieces of the fragmented relationships we are now savouring.
Foreign Affairs / Re: A Girl Is Punished For Being Raped In Saudi Arabia by belloti(m): 2:58pm On Nov 21, 2007
The very fact that it became a news item should atleast give some insight into the peculiarity of the adjudication. We dont see that kind of prosecution around and surely its a legal exception. I dont think also the CNN clip is enough premise for the outright condemnation of the legal action. I cant never be in support of punishing an innocent soul irrespective of faith or watever leaning. But that judgement is not all about islam and sharia system, it goes beyond that. Someone in Saudi need to clarify the details to us and am sure we are going to hear that pretty sooon.
Islam for Muslims / Re: Why Do Muslim Guys Prefer To Date Christians Girls? by belloti(m): 2:40pm On Nov 21, 2007
Salam, i accidently stumbled on this topic today. I guess coming from the conservative muslim background i can say without mincing words that the overwheming factor for such relationship is the relative ease and loose nature of MOST xtian girls especially when compared to our muslim sisters. In essence, am not trying to crucify the xtian sistas but i mean just like what the author posited we all know how modernisation influence greatly the attitude of the christian folks in terms of openness and commercialisation. In most muslim guy-xtian girls relationship, the denominating factor is mostly naira and kobo, although we can't rule out some exceptions.
Religion / Re: Comparison Between The Bible And Quran With Proof. by belloti(m): 1:03pm On Oct 31, 2007

Politics / Re: Northern Nigerian Killer Muslims At Work Again by belloti(m): 3:13pm On Oct 09, 2007
When its about islam and the north, be sure to find David there.

I ve been on self-exile from nairaland for no special reason at all but i always knew that i cant stay out for too long.

The killings in kano generating undue and reckless but usual rethorical reactions from those who sought nail anything islamic or northern might in actual sense be an overbloated misrepresentation by the enimical southern christian media.

Anyway, the fact that these over reported cases were mostly localised to a particular areas also need to be evaluated on other ethical grounds. Unwarranted Provocations and incitements in volatile areas might not be considered a basis for hasty generalisation. Issues like these need to be properly understood.

Its so easy to say the muslims has started again without any recourse to the preceeding sequence of events leading to the unfortunate fracas. So tread carefully guys and dont be blinded by misplaced emotions.
Religion / Re: The Important Of Fasting To Muslim by belloti(m): 2:46pm On Oct 09, 2007
Assalamu Alaykum wa Rahamatul Lahi Ta ala wa Barakatuhu my brothers and sisters. Its being quite a while since i last popped in here. But Alhamdulillah, we are alive to witness the great Ramadan and hopefully Eid el Fitr.

I want to congratulate the entire muslim ummah for the dual celebrations and remind us also of our duties for the poor and needy among us by giving out generously and paying our zakatul fitr on time. Alhamdulillah i just learnt today that the Zakatul fitr can be paid in monetary terms.

Once again congrats to you all.

Ma assalam

Religion / Re: Sultan’s Comment Inciting: CAN by belloti(m): 4:01pm On Aug 03, 2007
hamabra, you sound so boastful about your so-called faith. i wonder what else you do apart from the routine church rendezvous. Islam, in case you dont know, is the fastest growing religion on earth. its infact in the guiness book. so i really cant see where your excitement came from.

Pilgrim, hope you r catching the next flight for your pilgrimage to mecca grin . I pray to catch you there this holy year Insha Allah.

Alas, here comes the friendly one.

However, i d love to stress here that, the sultan mean no harm to no one. He is suppose to navigate the ship and chart the course. He is speaking out for religious awakening in the most peaceful and reasonable way. We need to wake up before the evangelist take us off guard. But peacefully too

Pilgrim, na wa oh.

i am the victim now. can you see how we read each other even here?
Religion / Re: Sultan’s Comment Inciting: CAN by belloti(m): 11:36am On Jul 26, 2007
Guys, we are not getting anywhere with this kind of mindset. Both of us, i mean myself and your bunch have practically taken a one sided stance and openly too. The sultan is a religious leader for the nigerian muslims just like Onayekan or Mbang or Okogie. His statements most times are sort of admonishment and preaching for righteousness and spirit of brotherhood. He may suggest to muslim folks the need to spread the gospel of truth to our fellow brethren and dispell the fake and unholy messages laundered by the so called evangelists and doomsday missionaries. The sultan was clearly speaking to the muslims, his primary constituency.
Religion / Re: Sultan’s Comment Inciting: CAN by belloti(m): 11:34am On Jul 25, 2007
Pilgrim and david, i want you to follow the sequence of events and the circumstances leading up to the maligned statement, you may probably discover the real issues behind the comment. Sultan is a very learned, disciplined and cautious gentleman. He speak with wisdom and that is very much needed to understand his statements.
Religion / Re: Sultan’s Comment Inciting: CAN by belloti(m): 7:00pm On Jul 10, 2007
The sultan should be understood first. you guys are just carried away by sentiments.
Religion / Re: What Exactly Is Islam? by belloti(m): 6:51pm On Jul 10, 2007
Batu, i was tempted to i share your sentiment about christianity too but i guess its obviously worst than that.

To date i always ponder how anyone in his senses could be a christian. i cant see the rationality in it but i guess its an easy way out of believe in God and worship.

Islam is a doctrine you know very well but choose to hate with fear and uncertainties. you see islam as a threat and a barrier to life of indulgence. Am sure you know what exactly islam is just like your co-traveller david and other passengers. Its about time you look inward and re-assess your fake analysis, you probably missed the point somewhere.
Religion / Re: I Hate Muslims Even Though I Shouldn't by belloti(m): 6:39pm On Jul 10, 2007
The fact is there is no love lost. No one need to love or hate anyone. its basically a matter of opinion. we are muslims and we love islam and everything islamic and we dont love anything unislamic but we dont care about personal religious choices because on the last day everyone speak for himself. The Holy Quran says you cant make anyone understand the truth except the lord showers guidance to that person. So you guys can love or hate but the point here is we dont care.

Had We sent this as a Qur'an (in the language) other than Arabic, they would have said: "Why are not its verses explained in detail? What! (a Book) not in Arabic and (a Messenger an Arab?" Say: "It is a Guide and a Healing to those who believe; and for those who believe not, there is a deafness in their ears, and it is blindness in their (eyes): They are (as it were) being called from a place far distant!"
