CareerRe: Just Got A UK Visa And A Job In Nigeria by Bhola(f): 1:14am On Sep 08, 2006
Sista to sista, stay put, unless, unless you absolutely have a terrible job. If you get to UK, how do you intend to pay for your tuition, accomodation, up-keep? Don't be decieved, life is not always greener on the other side.

I'll let the people in UK advice you more.
RomanceRe: I'm Seeing Someone, And He's Married by Bhola(f): 12:26am On Sep 08, 2006
The moment, people start thinking through about their response to situations, the better the result. See in life, we have a choice on how we respond to stimulus. We have the freedom to step back and reevaluate what our response will be, by looking at the big picture and the consequence of our response.

That said, I can't say I understand what she is going through, because I can never be in that position. Ask me why? I'll tell you. I don't let other people decide my life or how I intend to live it.
People, shit happens.

The truth is in as much as most of us will like to pretend, life is very complicated and affairs of the hearts
are tricky.  Maybe the guy was "nice" to her, I mean really nice. I don't know why he married someone
else or what transpired, but like I said earlier, shit happens and feelings are feelings. Maybe she is lonely
and needs company - reciprocal love may not really be part of the picture here.
It should be time to move on. You can do it. Stop taking the calls, and most certainly stop bedding him. Good luck.
One, I don't believe shit happens. We can to some extent control the shits in life. The things we can't control, like gravity, that I understand. Who we fall in love with, by golly we can control that shit. It is a personal choice. To be happy or to be sad. You have to decide what you want to do. If you are happy being a second best, then by hell, be. Only thing is that, every human being can be at the excellent level. You have to believe in yourself and see yourself more valuable than someone that lets emotions control. You have to decide your emotions and how you want to act. You, my dear young woman, you hold the key to your happiness.

Choose today, what you want to do. Sit back, re-evaluate your life. Think deep. Have a personal mission statement. Set goals.

You can do this and I am here and others to see you through, if indeed you want to.

RomanceRe: Pls Hear My Cry by Bhola(f): 12:20am On Sep 07, 2006
If she converted on her own, then it is well. If she converted becos of you, then I can smell trouble.

My advice, remain friends for a while. Help her grow in her new faith. I know it is easier said than done, but once the parents see a change in attitude and they see that she is genuinely converted, not just becos of a guy, they'll come around.

Stay blessed.

Ok, before I start to blow grammar, need some clarification.

The girl he is married with, who knew him first? You or the girl? Where you always the other woman? I need those clarification before I start to talk.

All in all, girl, please pick yourself up and walk away. Believe me, you are way better than that.

For some reason, I really do want to comment, but I will hold myself back.

Sista, from a matured sista to another, sometimes, some things need to be ignored. Believe me, auto ignore helps.

Ok, do you do any exercise? It is not about the weight, it is really about being fit. If you don't exercise, then make me and you, have a deal. We go begin run three times in a week and keep an exercise journal. Deal?

Welcome on board, Ifemuonso. One of my 2006 resolution was to learn French. Don't bother asking me how far I have gone.  grin. Nice having a good mix of Nigerians here from everywhere. Once again, welcome and have fun.
HealthRe: Runners In The House? by Bhola(op): 3:42am On Sep 05, 2006
Actually this is the reason why I need to start running:
Bhola:
Ok, I am lazy and I don't have any stamina and I need it for December (some peeps here know why) wink.
Appreciate your input. So how long have you been running?
HealthRe: Runners In The House? by Bhola(op): 3:13am On Sep 05, 2006
Edygirl, thanks.

Mochafella, thanks. I think I have regular feet. Nothing special. As per fashion, a sista got to look fly at any time of the day, even when running. I can't ignore fashion.  cheesy.

Though, I plan to run outdoor when the weather permits and on the threadmill, during winter. Do I need to get two kinds then?

Sport bra hmmm, no comment. Don't have big ones, so I will just get regular ones. Thanks all the same.
