Politics / Re: No Nuclear Station In Igboland as Yoruba Rejects Four Proposed Nuclear Stations by Bhola(f): 5:14pm On Jan 17, 2008
I think we should learn to walk first in Nigeria, before we run. Nuclear stations? In Nigeria? I guess that's an easy way to wipe the country of the map of the world. One simple mistake, and we all gone. We all know how low our maintenance level is in Nigeria. A nuclear plant is not a dam. If they took care of the dams and stuff, we'll not be reduced to producing so little.

Yorubaland o, Igboland o, Hausaland o, I am against nuclear power plant in Nigeria, period.

New year, new resolution. Working out/exercise is usually the numbero uno on a lot of people's list.

So to all music lovers and people that work out, what are your list of great work out songs?

Thanks in advance.

What I love about Nigeria? Hmmm, thinking, still thinking. Ok, I got it, abso-freaking-lutely nothing.

Seriously small B, you are beginning to sound like a retard. Repeating the same shit over and over. Like I said before, whatever you are scared of, will surely catch up with you.

You definitely do not have the interest of Nigeria at heart. You are a liar and I f**cking hate liars. I'll take a murderer over a liar.

Oponu oshi.
Family / Re: Dealing With Cheating Husbands by Bhola(f): 12:34am On Jan 07, 2008
I kind of understand what Mazaje is trying to pass across.

Here is my take on cheating spouses, especially men. Every man will cheat. Now there are two categories, there are the ones that will cheat just once and realize that they have the best wife in life and do not want to lose that life. And there are those that will cheat and continue to cheat. Now, the second group of men are the ones you need to leave. I mean, run for your life. They aint worth a dog, not to talk about a woman.

Blessed are those that do not expect, for they shall not be disappointed. That is my take on life. Not saying you should always expect the worst in all things, but it helps to prepare yourself for the worst. Just my own opinion o.

Disclaimer: I do not advocate violence, it was just funny in the movie.

Big B1:

There is nobody screaming here!
Just because you've been screamed at through out your life doesn't me folks are screaming when they're simply discussing politics.

It's 6pm, abeg go cook!

Wow small B, this is the best you could come up with? Screamed at throught my life? And it is 6pm, I should go cook? I bet you have never been stepped up on by a woman before.

Small B, whatever you are scared about, will surely get to you, sooner than later.

Please watch and learn!

Learn what? From who? You? Big or small B, just because some of us don't come here screaming and shouting about politics, does not mean we don't know what's going on.

Thanks for that, but it is not needed.
Politics / Re: Why Yar’adua Wants Ribadu Out - Plans To Prosecute Obasanjo, Ribadu And El-rufai by Bhola(f): 11:49pm On Dec 29, 2007
This is the most ridiculous bull-crap I have ever read. So now, just because Yar'Adua does not want Obj to rule from Ota, he decided to throw everyone out, all "Obj's boys and girls"? Wow, what a leader. Seriously, if you have been praying for Nigeria, you really need to stop. It is going to self destruct.

adeboo:

I really believe in trying to understand a man's culture before u marry him.
Its just so sad when u don't understand them - Nigeria men are the most complex on earth. I really feel its a nija woman that can handle them (thats ma opinion).

Girl, i think u should make friends with a nija woman that can tell u what those men want.

Nijamen are very complex and willalways be - i love them alot but you need a heart of iron to handle them.

I share that same opinion. Nigerian men are way too complex. A Nigerian woman is what a Nigerian man needs. Everything can never be explained or talked about, which is why I am usually against inter-cultural marriages. Not that they don't work, it just takes a lot more to make it work. Yes, poster you need a Nigerian female friend to try and help you. Most people do not consider all there is in an inter-cultural marriage before they go into it. It's just different and I can't explain it. All the best though.

There is a thread on that, non-Nigerians married to Nigerians. Check under the family section, I think.
Politics / Re: Ribadu Fired! by Bhola(f): 3:35am On Dec 28, 2007
Wow, Big B, everything happening is all Obj's fault. Now I know that Nigeria will never get better, if we have people thinking like this.

McKren:

At this point I think President Yaradua should scrap all anti-corruption agencies. War against corruption is not compulsory.

I agree with you. No be by force to fight corruption.

All I have to say is this, if you have been spending time praying for Nigeria, you might just want to stop. There is no need. If people that we call leaders can "rape" us in broad daylight, then there is no need to pray for Nigeria.
Politics / Re: Ribadu Fired! by Bhola(f): 2:44am On Dec 28, 2007
What ever excuse they can come up with, will definitely not gell with me. If firing a man like Ribadu is too difficult and they have to look for "corner-corner" way to remove him, then it does not look good. There is no fight on corruption in that country. This just proved it. A better man you say? So, if another man comes on, he will also be a puppet that someone is pulling his strings. Ribadu was Obj according to you, the next guy will be pulled/controlled by who? IBB? Shonekan?

Wow, what a fight on corruption!
Politics / Re: Ribadu Fired! by Bhola(f): 2:29am On Dec 28, 2007
Big B you don't get it. It's not the firing/removing of the guy, it's the lie in getting him removed from office. Nothing good can come out of deceiving people. Why couldn't they just fire him? That is what I want to know, if anyone has an answer to that. I do not know enough about the constitution, maybe there is a reason why he can't be fired.
Politics / Re: Ribadu Fired! by Bhola(f): 2:14am On Dec 28, 2007
I know. Not like Ribadu is the only one that can head the agency, but the lies. Mehn, I hate lies with everything in me. It never leads to anything good. They have just taken another million steps backward in that country.

No hope for Nigeria, even hope unborn is dead.
Romance / Re: My Girlfriend Wants Me To Marry Her Before Dec 2008 Or Else: by Bhola(f): 2:06am On Dec 28, 2007
Why o why is she bent on getting married by age 23? She don see vision ni? I fear o. I am 27 and I don't even think about marriage. Different strokes. If you know you'll marry her eventually, then I guess you can go ahead and marry her. When you start to cheat on her though, I hope she'll understand. I believe you can not make anyone do something they don't want to. If you get married now, just because she twisted your arm, then you'll be resentful towards her if things aint going well. If she can live with that, then carry go.
Politics / Re: Ribadu Fired! by Bhola(f): 1:57am On Dec 28, 2007
I was just reading the newpapers online. Now, this has confirmed what I have always said. Nigeria will never get better. It's not a curse, just fact. If we keep doing this, how in hell will it get better? Instead of calling a spade a spade, we keep deceiving ourselves. Why couldn't he just be fired straight up, instead of playing with our intelligence?
Family / Dealing With Cheating Husbands by Bhola(f): 12:10am On Dec 22, 2007
Saw a movie titled This Christmas featuring Chris Brown and co. Anyways, the wife found out that her husband was cheating on her. Like any other good wife, she knew this was going on, but did not do anything about it. One day, after her sister confronted her and made her face the reality of life, she decided to deal with him.

While at her mother's house for the Christmas celebration, the husband had to excuse himself to go back to the city for some "business". When the guy got back, she was in their bedroom, in nice lingerie and stuff. The husband was really feeling it. She told him to go take a shower and meet her in the room. When he went into the bathroom, she got a bottle of baby oil and emptied the bottle on the floor of the bathroom. She wore her jeans and a top and got out a nice leather belt. After he finished in the shower, he stepped out and then it started. She completely lost it and beat the living hell out of him and all the while, he could not do anything, because the floor was slippery. He just kept on falling off. Mehn, she dealt with him.  cheesy cheesy cheesy

So now, over to you, ladies with cheating husbands. I say, deal with them. Beat him with all the anger and pain inside you. Believe me, you'll feel better.  cheesy

Disclaimer: What ever happens after that, is not my problem o. Be ready to move out of the house before you try this o.
Politics / Re: If You Were Mr President Today, how Will You Handle Corruption by Bhola(f): 3:22pm On Dec 13, 2007
I will first pick up every and all past Local government chairmen, state governors, senators, house of reps, presidents, vps, all off them and lock them up, after I have frozen all their accounts. I will try and recover all the stolen monies from them, then tie each one, starting from the one that stole the most, to a pole and have junior officers of the army or police shoot at them, not kill them at the first shot. Maybe, kill them after like five shots.

Then, I will show the video to each person that will be serving under me and let them see what will happen to them, if I ever find out that they stole one naira. That is what I will do.

p.s: sometimes, some people have to be treated like goats.

Politics / Re: 101 Things You Need To Relocate To Nigeria by Bhola(f): 6:25pm On Nov 29, 2007
Don't forget that, you will have to supply your own power, take care of your sewer, find a way to make water available to you. You might also need a full staff of policemen to follow you around and protect your house as well. Oh, one more thing, be prepared to send your children to schools that charge ridiculous amount of money for education, while asking for some unnecessary requirements, in order to enrol your kids in school.

We can keep lying to ourselves, and the people in Nigeria can also lie to themselves, and think they are living a good life. Pray tell, how many of the folks that reside in VGC really worked for their money? How many of them schooled abroad? Or aint their fathers the ones that stole all the money meant for the rest of the people in Nigeria?

Yes, relocate to Nigeria, buy the most expensive cars, because you need something expensive to make you feel good. Live in ginomous houses, that look like a hotel, just because bigger means better to you. Do all that, but remember, you are just 1% of the population of the country. The country is still terrible, no matter how much houses or expensive cars in VGC.

Family / Re: Twice Unfaithful And Lazy Husband: Should I End This Marriage? by Bhola(f): 7:30pm On Nov 27, 2007
I do not know what you are going through, because I have never been in your shoes. I can understand your frustration though.

Should you end it? Hmm, quite a question and a tough thing to do. If after 11 years, you have completely had enough, then I am sure you know what to do.

Have you guys tried counseling? You did not state your location. If you are in Nigeria, I do not know who you can go to or how couple counseling works over there. I am sure you have talked to God about this, so no need telling you to do so.

Honestly, it is hard. To remain married and smile like nothing ever happened or to leave and try to pick one's life over again? The choice is yours. Explore all other options first, and let divorce/separation be the last resort.

Take care.

This here is an example of what you are complaining about. You are advocatiing that others (note: not yourself) quit talking and do something. How about you lead the way?  grin
The truth is even if we chose to "do something" what do we do? Storm Abuja and hang all the thieves there?

I guess I should have stated it another way. It is, who is willing to join me in doing something.

What can we do? We definitely ain't going to storm Abuja. We need to brainstorm and come up with ideas. I am sure you have a couple ideas, likewise a lot of people. You don't see me in politics section often, because all there is people talking. I sometimes don't believe that our generation wants a better Nigeria. We all have this "siddon look" attitude.

And on the issue of Americans having guns, it is not to go shoot their president. If it was for shooting presidents, it surely will not be under the Bill of Rights. grin
Politics / Re: World Bank Distances Itself From List Of Nigerian Looters by Bhola(f): 3:38am On Nov 11, 2007
David, how are we sure they'll not even rob their own bloods? The average leader in Nigeria thinks about only himself. Greed is ultimate. Honestly, if I was in the position the stupid gang leaders in Niger Delta are, with all 'em semis and stuff, I will find a way to get to these idiots.

Another solution, legalize guns in Nigeria. Reason why America can't have a dictator. We'll all come out and kill each other. Any human being will be scared of robbing someone that might have a mean of killing him/her.

Any body here willing to quit talking and ready to do something? You know what the problem of our generation is? We are bunch of talkers. We surely can talk, but to do, is not our forte.

Hope yet to be born, is dead. It's a shame.
Politics / Re: World Bank Distances Itself From List Of Nigerian Looters by Bhola(f): 3:06am On Nov 11, 2007
The day we tie all these idiots to poles and hand semis to the public to make a mess out of their faces, is the day corruption will start to decline in Nigeria. I have no hope for the country. Even hope yet to be born, is dead.

If you want to eat correct amala and gbegiri for the rest of your life, make sure you marry someone from my hometown, Ogbomosho. We sure know how to throw it down.

Learnt how to make amala from my grand-aunt. I just love the shining, black color with no koko o. Definitely having me some amala and efo riro with dried fish tomorrow after church.
Culture / Re: Are Nigerian Men Lazy Or Just Completely Insensitive? by Bhola(f): 4:31pm On Nov 10, 2007
Chiogo, I understand what you mean. Nigerians have a culture. Carrying grocery bags into the house is not something a Nigerian guy will normally do. It has nothing to do with laziness. If you get married and you want your man to carry the bags, tell him.
