TravelRe: If You Have A Way To The States But No One To Keep You. by bigbumper(f): 11:50pm On Apr 05, 2007
Does Texas(houston) have any shopping mall at all? During my recent sojourn there, all they seem to have was soul food joints. Travelled to downtown texas and had more fun  angry angry dodging some tram thingy, never saw any shop in sight though. I was so depressed I refused to leave my hotel room for three days.

You are simply attempting to create confusion where none really exists.

Nope, my posts were not intended to cause any confusion whatsoever. OP should at least be a bit contrite instead of replying people who were only trying to help in an uncouth manner.

In what way are English and loverbwoy right. . .

For as long as  his second post reads thus "not processing visiting visa, need dependent visa. . . ", I reiterate English1 and Loverbwoy's response were spot on.

I interjected, as you described, at the earliest opportunity to clarify that
he cannot apply for his wife to come to the UK from inside the country.I
cannot remember him making this point anywhere else other than at post 43.

Glad you said it yourself, was only trying to put it in a nice way that he knew that already.

You perhaps need to think out louder. What I and Mr Pataki said were
different . . .

Comparison was solely based on what you said the ECO'S conclusion could be, never said you were saying the same thing, hence the flipping things on it's head remark I made.

All I have done here is to try to give Dada the best advice possible . . .

Hence the reason why I said you had the patience of a saint. It is a complement, "and a heart of gold" is the unspoken phrase that always accompanies it you know. It's just that words when left unspoken often carry more weight.

. . . I wouldn't even send a letter to the UK embassy
about your p.h.d because this would suggest that neither you or your wife are
planning to leave the UK at the end of your Msc. An ECO who goes strictly by the
book may refuse for this.
Thinking out aloud and turning things on its head, was this not the same reason mrpataki thought it best to defer till phd study with a duration of three years, rather than apply now with current course of study with "leave to remain" of only nine months?

@Dada

You can't include your wife on an application at the Home Office
unless she is already in the country. . .

When she arrives you can then both apply to the Home Office for an extension
based on your proposed p.h.d. . .
@Vor

Like I said earlier you have the patience, but you too are starting to get confused. Your interjection above is what he said he intended to do in an earlier post of his.
TravelRe: Dependant Visa Uk (student) by bigbumper(f): 4:17pm On Apr 02, 2007
@ VOR

You have the patience of a saint.

English1 and Loverbwoy were right in their reply and judging by Mrpataki's 33rd and 42nd post, he is still confused too.

The OP stated that he wanted to apply for a dependent visa and was not interested in a visiting visa, hence the reason their answers were tailored to this.

The OP's vociferous request "not processing visiting visa, need dependent visa" statement and "not coming to visit, to stay. . . " statement was made in post 2 and post 28 respectively.

What i will do is to ask you a commonsensical question which goes thus . . .,
Na wah o, on top say person dey volunteer give you information?

if am doing a Msc course enroute Phd which is 1+3 years, and i don't want to come to nigeria to see my family(specifically my wife),what happens then?wait till i finish after 4years or ??

Nah mate, it is places that are threatened with tornadoes, earthquakes, and the likes that you find most properties built with wood because one has more chances of getting out alive compared to living in a property made of bricks. If the natural disaster don't kill you, the falling bricks could.

You seriously need to ask yourself and your fiance this questions.

1. How would he react if you were to pick up his phone if it rings? Would he be cool, edgy, shifty, etc

2. Would he be willing to respect you and introduce you into the conversation by letting the caller know you are around? By these i don't mean those sick and twisted girls who don't usually bother single guys as much as attached guys though.

Were you not the one who said any ape could make a personal call sound like a businesss call?
Why did you bother to lose your rags when your girl received a call at 3am in the morning?
How would you react if you find out your girl's "3am guy" reverts to calling your girlfriend during the day then something happens?

That five/six-line letter was specially composed for you, all you have to do is slot in the judge's name and the date the decision was sent to you.

Sorry I am not technologically savvy, otherwise would have sent a "cut and paste" one to you personally, via your email address. I have a faint recollection of what my email address is, but never know what my password is. I also tried to listen to the recording you attached but chickened out once some "real" thing flashed on my screen.

I was force-fed Cobol, Fortran and such claptrap in 1989, at a tender age of nine for six solid years, hence the reason I can no longer stomach anything to do with computers.

Thats not true Akolawole, Biometric properties have always been an intrinsic feature of UK Passports. In 1994 the Biometric features were then encoded in the machine readable encrypted part of the passport at the bottom, now the Biometric features are encoded in chips embeded in the back of the UK passports.
For example, those who watched the serialisation of "Lagos airport" programme on satellite would remember the lady that was accosted for using a diplomat's passport. Her passport picture was taken, and numerical algorithm was used to compare it to the one in the aforementioned passport and used to determine the fact that she was not the person in the passport. This is biometry authentication using facial patterns. It has been around for donkey years. wink

Other examples of biometrics could involve scanning of fingerprints, irises, etc.

The application takes more than a year.

Lagos would be earlier but not 96 hours.
Why would a British born citizen have to wait for over a year to get a British passport?

On what ground do I have to wait for over one year just because I want to return to my country of birth?

I AM GLAD AFRICAN GIRLS ARE NO LONGER RISING TO THE BAITS IN TOPICS LIKE THIS.

The whole reason for the post is not the paper issue Bigsis is harping on about like a broken record, BUT to goad us into arguments like "african women are too submissive and are used as doormat by their men" or "African men chase us because we are smarter than their women" or "african american girls are prettier" etc

liaise with muyiwabanks if possible to get their email address and fax number.

Substitute the first ? ? ? in the letter for the date the judge sent you the decision and the other ? ? ? is for the name of the judge and the post is Brritish High Commision.

You don't need to but you could try submitting two letters one headed reconsideration, the other appeal, with your verification letter from your employer and your previous place of study's proof of your proficiency in English. They can have the same content. The logic is for the senior ECO to be able to review his colleague's decision based on the new information you supplied.

If the decision can be reconsidered it would be better than an appeal that could take anything fron four months to six months.

Good luck.

I am not disputing the fact that it is applicable to asylum cases as I don't know much about asylum cases BUT it is also applicable to students visas too.

you seem to understand where I am at with this five days thing so could you kindly scan a copy of this again to clarify things.

RomanceRe: Why Did You End Your Last Relationship? by bigbumper(f): 2:36pm On Mar 14, 2007
I STILL LOVE HIM. cry cry cry

A lot of people were jealous of our relationship. His (ugly) best friend whom he had known since kindergarten accused me and told all that I wanted to date him plus three of his friends were hitting on me too. (I guess it's a crime to be pretty and have brains too)

I called the whole thing off despite the fact that he still wanted to be with me because I didn't want his so called friends to think he was too weak for sticking up for me.

He stopped speaking to his friends when the truth came out and his best friend called his parent and told them to apologise to my boyfriend on his behalf but he could not tell them what he has done. He has also being going round to everyone that knows my boyfriend to help him beg his forgiveness.

Copies of the determination was forwarded to myself (the appellant) and the Presenting Officers Unit on the ? ? ? (January date). The five days for the respondent (ECO) to appeal the determination of Judge ? ? ? lapsed on the (date on letter plus five days), hence I am using this correspondence to remind (the post) of the statutory duty under s87 of the 2002 Act for ECO's to comply with the Judge's direction.
Would be looking forward to hearing from you with regards to presenting myself to the visa section.
