What is a size 12 BTW??

Maybe i'm the one mixing things up . . the size 12 i had in mind was "british 12", is the "american 12" different??

Help me here, i think i''m lost, Cos if you say Tyra was a size 2 then i might have calculated wrong, here in Norway size 32/34 is XS, 36/38 is S, 40/42 is M and so on

So are they different . . explaining with small, medium, large terms please wink
Shock shocked  shocked shocked horror shocked shocked shocked

Uk size 12 is 36/38 S and translates into size 8 in america. American size 12 is 44/46 L and is UK size 16.

Size 12 is on the small side for crying out loud. Personally I think you should do target exercise, instead of all over weightloss.

RomanceRe: Kissed By My Boyfriend's Best Friend by bigbumper(f): 12:38am On May 03, 2007
You did the best thing by telling your boyfriend cos you don't know what the other guy's plan is.

Similar thing happened to me, told my boyfriend, he found it hard to believe me, and then I told his sister and the whole thing became international news. The friend turned the whole story around that I seduced him.

We broke up because the pressure was too much and boyfriend said we should leave everything to God. We got back together three years later after everything had settled down.

I only discovered recently that my boyfriend cut off contact with his friend due to what happened.

Although his best friend is not saying what he did, he has been going round telling everyone (his mum, my boyfriend's mum, families, friends, etc) to beg my boyfriend to forgive him.
RomanceRe: Why Do I Get Harassed By Guys? by bigbumper(f): 12:08am On May 03, 2007
IBEXY and 2muchmoney have hit the nail on the head.

You only avail yourself to handsome guys and this is the reason you get treated like trash. A lot of them know they can get any girl they want, hence do not respect the ones that chase them.
RomanceRe: Your Girlfriend's Sister by bigbumper(f): 11:27pm On May 02, 2007
Your girlfriend is cheating on you with at least two other guys, her sister is coming unto you.

WHICH kind of love are you in? You are just setting yourself up for a downfall.

Run and don't look back.
RomanceRe: How To Toast A Black Girl In Uk by bigbumper(f): 11:20pm On May 02, 2007
This thread is a non-starter because, the nonsense answer the male species would give to your question would be, not to waste your time, but to go to Naija to pick up a babe.

Besides Naija babes in jand know we've got gold between our legs  wink hence are not going to give anything up. tongue tongue tongue
RomanceRe: How To Toast A Black Girl In Uk by bigbumper(f): 1:22am On May 02, 2007
Once in love (stupid love), girls in UK would slave over the stoves to cook for the guy, start shunning their friends, lie and make excuses on behalf of the guy (eg he doesn't like going to the cinema, or holding hands in public cos he's not the romantic type), some even buy a car for their men and let them live rent free. I know plenty girls like that, they become too nice once they fall in love and the guys always take advantage of this.
RomanceRe: How To Toast A Black Girl In Uk by bigbumper(f): 1:15am On May 02, 2007
Like I said, I kinda side with the guys on this issue but the fact still remains the same that, once most of naija girls falls hook, line and sinker, for a naija guy, they will readily dip into their own pocket to bail the guy out.

NB
I am not talking about those in Niger o, but then you would even be surprised to find out that there are loads of girls in Nigeria that would collect money off their dads or aristos to give to their boyfriend.

RomanceRe: How To Toast A Black Girl In Uk by bigbumper(f): 12:45am On May 02, 2007
The Truth is oftentimes bitter pill to swallow.

IBdat and 2muchmoney are right to a certain extent. It happens initially but once a naija babe really falls in love, they can give you their last kobo for the sake of love.
FamilyRe: I'm Married But My Girlfriends Refuse To Leave by bigbumper(f): 11:41pm On May 01, 2007
You know dey fear jazz abi hin don catch you? Take am easy o, you don get wife and you don get pikin.

It is only two out of the eight whom are gonna have their heart broken, the one who is asking when you are gonna get married and the clingy, needy, desperado one. It is not the end of the world and I am sure you have broken loads of heart before.

The three who thinks there is nothing wrong in continuing to sleep with you are easily dispensable.

Your main palaver here-in lies with the three who still wants to marry you regardless of the fact that you are marrried. Obviously one of these whores called your wife. They are gonna be the hardest to get rid of and will try and exact revenge on you by trying to destroy your marriage.
RomanceRe: My Boyfriend Has Been Acting Differently Despite My Complaints by bigbumper(f): 11:09pm On May 01, 2007
A woman's intuition is always right, so, take the bull by the horn, and either text the girl's number to him and ask if he recognises the number or ask him who the girl is. It is better you find out earlier whether he is stringing you along, rather than fnding out much later.

You have got nothing to lose by grilling him. At most he would come up with some lame stuffs about you not trusting him, blah, blah, blah

It's great that you started the thread here on Nairaland, BUT at least don't let everyone think you deserve all the credit for someone else's work.

. . . give due credit where it belongs.

HealthRe: Depression by bigbumper(f): 11:55pm On Apr 29, 2007
There are a few websites about depression that could be of help to you. Having therapy might be more beneficial to you rather than going down the drugs route to avert dependancy. If you go through the numerous forums on depression, you would notice the high trend of a lot of people on medication whom are finding it hard to come off the drugs.
RomanceRe: Are Pretty Girls Not Worth Dating? by bigbumper(f): 1:59am On Apr 25, 2007
Gheorghe:
on a more serious not, most guys will just look at a pretty babe and conclude that there's no way she can be single at that point in time, he goes on thinking of how many rich dudes will be fighting for her attention and how expensive it will be to maintain her if actually he had a chance.they never make the move until they see someone else who they feel they are better than take the chance
Correct talk.

No wonder every relationship I was in, always resulted in at least three of their friends wanting to date me. I thought it was a generational thingy that needed prayers, like for example a friend that always dated men whom unbeknown to her are married and she only finds out when the wives come round to beat her.

It grates my nerves when other men make their moves when you finally start dating someone else. I really hate it when they come and start yarning nonsense such as "I will take better care of you" or " I will buy this and that for you" as if you complained you were not being taken care of, or as if one is a piece of menchandise.
FashionRe: Being A Plus-sized Model by bigbumper(f): 1:10am On Apr 25, 2007
The reason given by the modeling industry is that most fashion designers are gay hence the reason the demand for skinny women with no curves. Apparently this is to help them to fantazise that the model is a guy with her boyish figure.

EducationRe: Is It Better To Stay On-Campus Or Off-Campus In UK Universities? by bigbumper(f): 12:33am On Apr 25, 2007
You would only be allowed to stay for a year on campus.

Financially, the same rate you pay for your single room on campus would get you a double room off campus. The university's prospectus on accommodation would shed more light on this.

Socially, hmmn, although "Dis Guy" is right to an extent, don't forget that the question mark kid (the guy who killed some students in the states last week) also stayed on campus but had no friend . . .

Balogun:
Big bumper. There are inhalers designed for children. You can't force this thing on them. They have a wider opening so when you place over their face, they get a certain amount of the medication. Bad technique and wrong inhaler is reason why a lot of people present to their physician with un controlled asthma
Thanks for the reply. We were given a baby mask (spacer huh) to use with the inhalers and this device covers the nose and the mouth but I didn't know whether the gas was supposed to be inhaled via the nose or the mouth.

When I picked up the repeat prescription, we were given one in a powdery form to put on the tongue in a circular shaped thingy and another one, (can't remember). Returned both as main ingredient was lactose and baby is lactose intolerant. Pharmacist advised that it had to go in through the nose for babies, not sucked through the mouth.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: First Bank Interveiw- Is Suit Cumpulsory? by bigbumper(f): 10:23pm On Apr 14, 2007
The employer would not tell you it is compulsory but it will stand you in good stead. I have gotten three jobs based on my dressing, one of which was at a bank (Nationwide).

I was an usher in church and we had to have suits in different colours. It was the blue one which I could not stand that I wore to the interview. Despite the fact that I got there about an hour late and could not answer most of their questions correctly, I got offered a job at their busiest branch.

The three interviewer were ladies and they knew the job was mine as soon as I walked in, because it was the same colour as their uniform, hence they already had a mental image/picture of me as one of colleagues.

Gotten and got is the irregular past participle of get.

Gotten is the American form, British English use got. So, both variants are correct, it depends on whether you prefer to speak British English or American English.
